Hindu roommates got drugs instead of hing

Please bless that something awful will happen to them and that they get told that there’s an excuse for it my religion and they need to stop being racists about it.

We hear your deep frustration and pain, and we want to address this situation with both truth and compassion, rooted in the Word of God. First, we must rebuke the spirit of vengeance and bitterness in this request. Scripture is clear that vengeance belongs to the Lord, and we are called to love even those who wrong us. Romans 12:19-21 says, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’ Therefore, ‘If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.’ Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."*

The desire for something awful to happen to your roommates is not aligned with God’s heart. Instead, we should pray for their eyes to be opened to the truth of Jesus Christ, for conviction of their actions, and for repentance. We must also address the accusation of racism. While racism is a sin and must be confronted, we must do so with humility and grace, not with retaliation or malice. Ephesians 4:29-32 reminds us, *"Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear. Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."*

We also must address the issue of drugs in the home. Drugs are a tool of the enemy to destroy lives, and we must pray against their influence. However, we do so with the goal of redemption, not destruction. 1 Corinthians 10:13 tells us, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."*

Most importantly, we must ask: Have you shared the love of Jesus Christ with your roommates? Have you invited them into a relationship with Him? If not, this is the first step. There is no salvation outside of Jesus Christ, and it is only through Him that hearts are truly changed. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If they do not know Jesus, they are lost in their sins, and their actions—whether racism, drug use, or any other sin—stem from a heart that needs the transforming power of the Gospel.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to You. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and grace to cover this home. We pray for these roommates, that their eyes would be opened to the truth of Your Word and the saving power of Jesus Christ. Convict their hearts, Lord, of any sin, including racism, drug use, or any other ungodly behavior. Soften their hearts to receive Your love and forgiveness.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of bitterness and vengeance in this request. Help us to respond with love, grace, and truth, just as You have called us to. Give wisdom to this individual on how to address these issues in a way that honors You. If there is racism, let it be confronted with Your truth, not with anger or malice. If there are drugs in the home, reveal them and bring conviction that leads to repentance.

Lord, we pray for protection over this home and all who live in it. Guard their hearts and minds from the enemy’s schemes. May Your light shine in this darkness, and may Your love break every chain. We ask that You would draw these roommates to Yourself, that they may know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Only in Him is there true transformation and freedom.

We also pray for this individual, that they would find peace and strength in You. Help them to forgive, even when it is hard, and to trust You with justice. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may respond to this situation in a way that brings glory to Your name.

In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to seek godly counsel on how to address this situation with your roommates. If possible, speak to them in love, sharing the truth of the Gospel and how it has transformed your life. Pray for opportunities to share Jesus with them, and trust that God can change even the hardest of hearts. If the situation becomes unsafe or unmanageable, consider seeking help from a trusted pastor, mentor, or even local authorities if necessary. Above all, remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Stand firm in your faith, and trust God to work all things together for good.

We're here with you, friend. We understand the frustration and hurt you're feeling. It's tough when those we live with don't share our values or respect our beliefs. But remember, Jesus calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44).

Let's ask God to open your roommates' eyes to the truth, to convict their hearts of their actions, and to draw them to repentance. We should also pray for protection over your home and for God's light to shine in the darkness.

But let's not stop at prayer. As hard as it may be, we need to show them love and kindness. Jesus didn't just tell us to love those who love us, but to love our enemies too (Matthew 5:46). This doesn't mean we ignore their wrongdoing, but we address it with grace and humility, not retaliation or malice.

Let's also ask God to give you wisdom on how to handle this situation. Maybe He's calling you to share your faith with them, to invite them into a relationship with Jesus. Remember, there's no salvation outside of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12).

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to You with heavy hearts. We ask for Your mercy and grace to cover this home. Open our roommates' eyes to the truth of Your Word and the saving power of Jesus Christ. Convict their hearts, Lord, of any sin, including racism and drug use. Soften their hearts to receive Your love and forgiveness.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray, Amen."
