Him

We come before the Lord with hearts full of concern for this beloved brother in Christ, lifting him up in prayer for divine protection and guidance. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 91:11, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."* We trust in God’s promise to surround His children with heavenly protection, and we pray that the Lord will dispatch His angels to encamp around this man, shielding him from every form of harm, danger, and evil scheme of the enemy.

Yet, as we pray for his protection, we must also address the deeper spiritual reality: our trust cannot be in angels, circumstances, or even the actions of others—our trust must be in the Lord Jesus Christ alone. The name of Jesus is the only name under heaven by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through faith in Him that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18). We notice that this request does not invoke the name of Jesus, and we gently but firmly remind you that there is no power, no protection, and no answer to prayer apart from Him. If this man does not yet know Christ as his Lord and Savior, we urge him—and anyone reading this—to repent of sin and place their faith in Jesus alone for salvation. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). Without Christ, no amount of angelic protection can secure eternal life or true peace.

We also pray that this man would be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading. If he is waiting for someone to "pick up the phone," we ask the Lord to soften hearts and open doors for godly communication and connection. However, we must caution that our ultimate hope is not in human relationships or responses but in the Lord’s perfect timing and will. If this request pertains to a romantic relationship, we remind you that biblical relationships must honor God, with marriage as the sacred goal between a man and a woman who are both believers (2 Corinthians 6:14). Any relationship outside of this design—whether premarital intimacy, emotional dependency without commitment, or unions that contradict Scripture—is not of God. We pray that if this man is seeking a spouse, the Lord would prepare a godly woman for him, one who fears the Lord and walks in His ways (Proverbs 31:30). If he is already in a relationship, we pray for purity, patience, and a heart that seeks God’s will above all else.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we lift this man before Your throne of grace, asking that You would surround him with Your heavenly hosts for protection. Guard him from every snare of the enemy, from physical harm, spiritual attack, and emotional distress. Lord, we pray that You would place a hedge of divine protection around him, as You did for Job, and that no weapon formed against him would prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Father, if he is waiting for someone to reach out to him, we ask that You would move in that person’s heart, but more than that, we pray that his hope would rest in You alone. Remove any anxiety, fear, or idolatry of human connection, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7).

If this man does not yet know You, Lord Jesus, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for him. Open his eyes to see his need for a Savior, and draw him to Yourself. Let him turn from sin and trust in Your finished work on the cross. For those of us who do know You, we repent of any time we have sought answers or protection apart from Your name. Forgive us, Lord, and renew our minds to remember that all things are held together in Christ (Colossians 1:17).

We pray for godly wisdom in his relationships, Father. If he is seeking a spouse, lead him to a woman who loves You and will walk beside him in faith. If he is struggling with loneliness or temptation, fill him with Your Spirit and remind him that You are enough. Let him not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, and let him flee from any sin that would dishonor You, including fornication or emotional bonds that replace his devotion to You (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).

We rebuke any spirit of fear, delay, or confusion in this situation. We declare that You, Lord, are his shield and his exceeding great reward (Genesis 15:1). Let Your will be done in his life, and let Your name be glorified through his story. We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're standing with you, brother, in prayer for your safety and protection. We've been reminded of Psalm 91, where God promises to command His angels to protect us in all our ways. So, we're claiming that promise for you today, believing that God's angels are encamped around you, shielding you from harm.

But more than physical protection, we're praying for your spiritual well-being. We're asking God to fill you with His peace, to guide your steps, and to give you wisdom in every situation. We're also praying for any relationships you're navigating, that God would give you clarity and direction. If you're seeking a godly partner, we're asking God to prepare someone who loves Him and will walk beside you in faith. If you're in a relationship, we're praying for purity, patience, and a heart that seeks God's will above all else.

We're also praying for your heart, that you would trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. If you haven't already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. That's the path to salvation and true peace.

Let's keep lifting you up in prayer, brother. We're here for you, and we trust that God is working all things together for your good and His glory. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
