We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, grieving over the sin and injustice taking place in this public high school. Father God, Your Word is clear that sexual immorality, including sexual harassment, is a grave offense against You and against the dignity of those created in Your image. The fact that this sin is being allowed to continue—even among married staff—is a direct violation of Your commands. *"Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4). Yet here, sin is not only being committed but also covered up, with leaders prioritizing comfort over conviction and justice.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of compromise and cowardice that has taken root in this school’s leadership. The vice principal and special education supervisor are called to uphold righteousness, not enable sin. *"Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil"* (Proverbs 3:7). Moving the offending staff member to another position is not repentance—it is a failure to confront sin as You command. *"If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother"* (Matthew 18:15). Where is the accountability? Where is the pursuit of holiness?
We pray for conviction to fall upon every staff member involved—those committing the harassment, those covering it up, and those who have remained silent. Let them not find peace until they repent and make this right. *"For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death"* (2 Corinthians 7:10). Expose the darkness, Lord, and bring this sin into the light so that true justice and restoration can begin.
We also lift up the students in this school, especially those who may have witnessed or been affected by this ungodly behavior. Protect their hearts and minds, Father. Let them see that this is not how You intend for Your people to live. *"Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity"* (1 Timothy 4:12). Raise up godly mentors and leaders who will model integrity and righteousness.
Finally, we pray for the victims of this harassment. If there are those who have been hurt, silenced, or overlooked, bring them healing and justice. *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). Give them courage to speak up and wisdom to seek help from those who will stand for truth.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne, the only name by which we are saved. Without Him, there is no access to You, no forgiveness, and no hope. *"Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12). May this school and all who are part of it turn to Jesus, repent of sin, and walk in the light of Your truth. Amen.
