Hi,

I recently came across the prayer request tab on this forum and I would like to please request for prayer. Firstly though, I want to say thank you God for Ravi Zacharias and his family and ministry.

One of the biggest things in my life right now that I need prayer for is about someone I love who really hurt me and betrayed my trust. I am praying that I get right with God, pray, get back to church, lean on Him and for healing to take place and that He will set things right. I am also praying that in the midst of all this, God shows me how to forgive, and to act in a consistently Christianly manner, filled with God's wisdom, conviction, love and strength to know what to say/reply to this person when needed.

Out of this, I am also earnestly praying that this person will be saved and come to know Jesus Christ. I can see now that this person hurt me, because they themselves are hurt and have lived a life filled with brokenness and pain and has spent many years searching for acceptance and love and hurting alot of people in the process. This person is not at any stage a theist, much less a Christian, at best agnostic. I am praying for Christ to stir his heart, and show him the unconditional love and acceptance he needs and to know that there is a much better life to lead with God being their Saviour, and that their past doesn't have to have a stronghold on them. I am earnestly praying for God to lift the entire veil off his eyes and for the Holy Spirit to fill this person and they will turn their life over to Christ. That there will be right people around to support him as he starts his walk. His name is James

For my own part, I admit that I have backslided in my own walk and took things in my own hands instead of leaning on Him. I didn't always act in the Christianly manner when I needed to, or should and acted on my own hurt instead. But I know that God wants me to forgive and pray for this person, and I believe that as it is said in the Bible, He is faithful and just if I humble myself and confess my sins. I believe God can do the impossible and am asking for extra support in this time please.
