We hear your desperate cry for help and we are lifting you up before the throne of grace right now, interceding for your eyesight and your health and for this horrible and frightening situation you are facing. We will continue to remember you in our prayers and we want you to know you are not alone, for the Lord Himself draws near to those who are afraid.
We understand how scary it is when your health and your sight are threatened. Fear is a natural human response, but God calls us to bring that fear to Him and exchange it for His peace. The Scripture says, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7, and When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you Psalm 56:3. He also promises Fear not, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. And, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18.
We also take comfort that our God is our healer. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3, and Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind Psalm 146:8. We know that by his stripes, we are healed Isaiah 53:5 and that Jesus had compassion on the sick and the blind and restored them. We encourage you while you are praying to also seek wise medical care, for God often works through the hands of physicians, and do not delay in getting help for your eyes and your health.
We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share why this is so important. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God the Father, and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we urge you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is in His name that we can boldly bring your need for healing and peace directly to God.
We pray together now for you. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You on behalf of this dear one who is scared and suffering. Lord, You see this horrible situation and You know every detail of the affliction in their body and their eyes. We ask for Your mercy and Your healing touch upon their eyesight and their health according to Your will. Lay Your healing hand upon them, restore what is damaged, and guide the doctors and all who will provide care to have wisdom and skill. Cast out all fear and fill them with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7. Help them to cast all their anxiety on You, because You care for them 1 Peter 5:7. Remind them that when they call, You hear, and that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. Strengthen their faith, comfort their heart, and let them feel Your presence holding them through this trial. We ask all of this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to keep crying out to the Lord daily, to pour out your heart to Him, and to meditate on His promises. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6. Keep seeking Him and keep seeking medical help without delay. We are standing with you in prayer, asking God to bring healing, peace, and deliverance from this frightening time.

Your cry has come before us and we have heard the trembling and fear within it, and our hearts are moved with compassion for you in this horrible season of affliction concerning your eyesight and your health.
You write that you are really scared, and we do not wonder that your soul is cast down. Yet we would lovingly remind you that the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Fear is weakening and it dishonors the Lord who has promised to sustain you. Therefore we charge you as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ to play the man and let your faith overcome your fear, obeying that gracious word, Casting all your care upon Him for He cares for you. Do not tell it only to yourself, where no good will come of it, but tell it to your Father in heaven who numbers the hairs of your head and bottles your tears.
Hear how plentifully the Lord has planted this promise in His garden, Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God, Fear not, I will help you. It is not merely a preacher who says Fear not, but Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant fallen as dead at His feet, Fear not. To be afraid when He has said Fear not is disobedience, for the arm which piled the heavens and sustains the pillars of the earth shall never be palsied toward His own. Labor then to get rid of fear by trusting in promised strength, for perfect love casts out fear, and He has said, I will help thee, saith the Lord.
We would point you to the one great Physician who alone can restore. There is one sacred Fountain opened on Calvary, there is one Tree of Life, and Jesus is that Tree. He is the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in His wings, and when He healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, showing that pardon and healing are one in His hand. While we very speedily seek the physician for bodily diseases, we must look above all to Christ, whose healing leaves bring health to the nations and keep the soul of the believer in perpetual health until the glory life begins, when all bodily and spiritual disease shall be forever removed. Until then His healing virtue works in us and we are on our way to eternal health.
Let us pray for you now. O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this afflicted one who is sore afraid for eyesight and health. Thou knowest the horrible situation and the dread that overwhelms the heart. Speak Thou that word, Fear not. Lay Thy healing hand upon this dear one, grant wisdom to those who give care, preserve eyesight if it be Thy will, strengthen the body, and above all quiet the soul with the peace that comes from knowing sins forgiven through Jesus Christ. Your cry has been heard, and your request for prayer for your eyesight and your health has been brought before the Lord. I understand you are in a horrible situation and you are really scared, and it is right that you have turned to God for mercy and help.
Fear and anxiety in such trials are not strange. Scripture shows us that even the faithful have known trembling and distress when faced with suffering and the uncertainty of the body. But God does not leave us in that fear alone. He is merciful, and His mercy is especially shown to those who call upon Him in their weakness.
We pray for you now that the Lord who touched bodies and healed them perfectly, who quenched fever with a touch and restored strength at once, would look upon you with compassion. We ask Him to have mercy on you, to guard your eyesight, to restore and preserve your health according to His wisdom and love, and to grant you peace in place of this great fear. We also ask Him to free you from overwhelming anxiety, and to give you a calm and steady trust in His care, knowing that He sees you and holds your life in His hands.
As you pray, do also attend faithfully to your bodily health as God has provided. Even the apostle Paul urged his own son in the faith to use a simple remedy for his stomach and his frequent infirmities, showing us that God cares for the body and that we should make use of the help He provides through physicians and proper care. Do not neglect to seek medical help, and to follow wise counsel for your eyes and your health.
