An Encouraging Lesson from Paul’s Conversion
Apologies
A Joyful Sabbath
We hear your desperate cry and we are lifting you up before the throne of grace together right now, for you are not alone in this weakness.

The Lord sees your weakness and He does not turn away from it, He draws near to it. Scripture tells us He gives power to the weak and to him who has no might he increases strength Isaiah 40:29. We are reminded that His grace is sufficient for us, for His power is made perfect in weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9. When we feel we have nothing left, that is where His strength can most clearly carry us. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1, and when our heart is overwhelmed we can cry to Him to lead us to the rock that is higher than we are Psalm 61:2.

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and find true strength and salvation. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by calling on His name and trusting in His finished work on the cross and His resurrection that we are saved and can boldly approach God in prayer.

So we pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we lift up this precious soul to You who is crying out in great weakness. You know the depth of their struggle and the heaviness they feel. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would pour out Your strength upon them, that You would hold them up when they cannot stand on their own. Let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Remind them that they can do all things through Christ who strengthens them Philippians 4:13, not in their own power but in Yours. Comfort them, renew them, and let them feel Your very present help. Draw them close to Jesus, give them faith to trust in Him as Savior and Lord, and let them know they are upheld by Your righteous right hand Isaiah 41:10. We ask this according to Your will in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to keep crying out to Him honestly as you have done, to stay in His Word daily even if only a few verses at a time, and to reach out to faithful believers around you who can pray with you and support you in person. Your weakness is not a failure, it is an invitation for God to show Himself strong on your behalf. Keep looking to Jesus, for He will not let you go.

We heard you, and we are not looking away from how heavy this feels right now. Saying I am so weak out loud and asking for the strongest prayers took courage, that itself is strength even when you do not feel it.

We want you to know you do not have to push through this alone. When weakness feels overwhelming it helps to have one other person nearby who knows what is happening.

If you can today, let one trusted person know exactly what you wrote here, a family member, a pastor, a close friend or counselor, and ask them to stay with you in the next hours and check in. If this weakness is also physical, please also let a doctor or clinic know, we will keep praying while you get care.

You do not have to figure everything out tonight. Just take the next small step and let others carry the prayer with you. We are carrying you in prayer right now.

Father, we bring our friend to You in the name of Jesus. You see how weak and weary they feel. Wrap them in Your presence and peace tonight, give them rest, and bring people around them who will stay close and help. Lead them to the support they need and remind them they are not alone. We trust them into Your care. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your cry of weakness has come before us and, blessed be God, it has come also before Him who is very near at hand. There is no more hopeful prayer than that which confesses its own utter feebleness, for the Lord delights to show His strength in those who have no strength of their own.

You must know that to be weak in yourself is not a strange thing among the people of God. David, though anointed to be king and the object of God's grandest purposes, could yet say, I am this day weak, though anointed king. He had as strong a God as ever, but he was weak in the flesh. And that, my friend, is the only weakness a Christian can know. We are never weak in our God, we are always weak in ourselves. Whatever we count to be our strength in the flesh is sure to become our weakness in the spirit, until we learn that our strength lies not in our own valor or cunning or resolve, but in the truthfulness and faithfulness of God who has promised to keep His own.

Scripture tells us of those who out of weakness were made strong. This is not a strength to continue in a sinful weakness, but a strength to be delivered out of it. Faith does not ask God to help us to remain where we are, but to lift us out and to make us mighty in the work of God. It is the privilege of the saints to be made strong out of weakness when that weakness is infirmity, and equally to be made strong out of weakness when that weakness has been sinful, by being cleansed and renewed through the blood and righteousness of Jesus Christ alone. In Him is our only hope, for there is no other name by which we may be saved, and no other righteousness in which we may rest.

Therefore the word for you is that blessed word, They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Human strength, even if it were the strength of lion and ox combined, will spend itself and fail. But he that waits upon the Lord, that rests in God's righteousness as his righteousness and receives the great Sacrifice provided by God to be his atonement and acceptance, shall find his strength renewed. To wait upon Him is to turn from self to Christ, to plead His promises in prayer, to feed upon His Word, to forsake not the assembling of yourselves together, and to look moment by moment for His active energy to interpose and help. He is near us in the closet and near us in the shop and in the barn, by night and by day He surrounds us, and how speedily He can renew our graces when we seek His face.

Be not then dismayed by the sense of your own emptiness. A man who needs his bodily strength renewed must eat, and he who needs his spiritual strength renewed must wait upon the Lord until He fills him. Go to Him just as you are, confessing your weakness and your sin, and ask Him to create a penitent cry in your heart and to turn you whithersoever He pleases. He can in an instant make the unwilling heart to bend the knee and seek the mercy it once rejected.

We will pray for you, and we do pray now, that the Lord Jehovah who is your strength and your song would become your salvation in this hour. May He strengthen you with strength in your soul, prepare you to do His will effectually, and breed in you a quiet strength which is not fussy weakness but the power of His might. May He lift you out of all weakness that dishonors Him and make you strong in the Lord, to the praise of His grace. Cast yourself wholly upon the Lord Jesus Christ, trust in His mercy alone, and you shall find that when you are weak, then are you strong, for His strength is made perfect in weakness.
