Beloved of All
Your cry for protection has been heard and I am praying with you right now. It is understandable to feel fear when something as precious as your sight feels threatened, and God understands that fear too.
The Bible speaks often about sight in two ways. There is the physical sight that God Himself created and sustains, and there is spiritual sight, the ability to see what God is doing in the unseen realm around us. We live in a physical world, but there is a spiritual reality all around us that we cannot see with natural eyes unless God opens our eyes to it. That kind of seeing is what Scripture calls a vision, and it reminds us that God is the one who gives sight in every form. He made your eyes, He knows every detail of your body, and He is able to guard and keep what He has made.
God also knows how quickly fear can take hold when we face uncertainty about our health. Scripture repeats the command fear not more than a hundred times because He knows our tendency to be afraid. Fear and faith cannot rule the heart at the same time. When fear is allowed to grow, faith is pushed aside, but when we remember the Lord and trust His presence, fear loses its power. The Lord said to His people, fear not for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God, I will strengthen you and help you and uphold you. He is your shield and your protector. You do not need to hide or strive out of fear, you can rest in His care and do what is wise and prudent while trusting Him to keep you.
So I pray for you now in the name of Jesus. Father, I bring this dear one before You and ask for Your merciful hand of protection upon their eyes and their health. You are the healer and the keeper of our bodies. Guard their sight, grant wisdom to any who provide care, and give peace to their heart. Let them know Your nearness today, that You are with them, that You are their strength, and that they can trust You with this need. Replace fear with confident faith in Your love and power. In Jesus name, Amen.
Continue to bring this need to the Lord honestly and often, and ask Him to help you walk in faith rather than fear, remembering that He is with you and able to keep you.
