After many years of trying to have a family, we were blessed with the adoption of 2 daughters. It soon became apparent that one of us would need to stay home, so now I am a stay at home mom. My husband has a good job, but works in the timber industry & is being laid off for several weeks during this holiday season. For the last year, I've been working hard to supplement our income by selling clothing on Ebay. It's a slow process, but I've built up a little business that enables me to buy some necessities, pay a couple of small bills (usually!) and I buy all of our daughters' clothing (from thrift stores & garage sales) with the money I make. Unfortunately, my husband is under an extreme amount of stress right now during the holidays and has requested that I help him out financially if I can. The bad thing is this last month has been very slow & I have had a few bad sales experiences. I am in the process of reposting most of my inventory for sale at much lower prices than I normally would (my prices are always low...now they're even lower) with the hope of making several quick sales so that I can help cover some of our expenses at the end of the month.
This is probably not worthy of a prayer request, but like so many right now, we are struggling so hard to make ends meet. If anybody could just pray that I am able to start having some little sales soon? We desperately need it. I would love to be able to take some of the stress off of my husband's shoulders.
PS. He has several other locations that he can do freelance work at...but everything is slow or shut down temporarily, he also supplements our income with chainsaw sculptures, which in the past has been a tremendous help, but this year, not one single sale. I just wanted to be clear that he's not just sitting around doing nothing while he is laid off!
