Peter wants to know the meaning of his own vision — read Acts 10 for the details of that vision. What he learns about the vision is shocking. But, the key to unraveling the mystery of the vision is the Holy Spirit doing what Jesus promised in Acts 1:8 — the Spirit helps Jesus' followers reach the ends of the earth with God's good message of grace. In this instance, the Spirit is very directive of Peter. And if our hearts are sensitive to the Spirit, then we will be drawn to reach out to the nations as well!
Prayer
O Father in heaven, may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Convict me, O God, through the Holy Spirit's influence, that the world needs to know Jesus. Propel me by the power of the Holy Spirit to share the message of Jesus. Equip me through the gifts the Holy Spirit gives to be effective in reaching out to others around me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
