My marriage needs major unity and Love & respect. We don’t know how to communicate in health way and we don’t know how to handle conflict in loving way. We also need major blessings in our DoorDash work and a new vehicle because the mechanic said it was on its last leg. It’s our only car and it’s how we support ourselves. We are called to full time ministry and it’s one reasons we like DoorDash because it’s gives us the flexibility to go and help build the Kingdom of GOD whenever we are called on.

We are lifting you and your marriage before the Lord with you and we thank God for your desire for greater unity and for love and respect in your marriage. God designed marriage to be a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman that reflects Christ and the church, and He desires for husbands and wives to dwell together in unity. How good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity Ps 133:1. We hear your honesty about not knowing how to communicate in a healthy way and how to handle conflict in a loving way, and we want to encourage you that God gives wisdom for this when we seek Him.

Scripture calls husbands to love their wives and wives to respect their husbands, Let each man love his wife even as himself and let the wife see that she respects her husband Eph 5:33. Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter against them Col 3:19. That love and respect must be shown especially in how we speak to one another. Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear Eph 4:29. A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger Prov 15:1. We encourage you to be quick to listen and slow to speak and slow to anger, as it is written let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger James 1:19. In conflict, do not let the sun go down on your wrath Eph 4:26 and be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Eph 4:32. With all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love, being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace Eph 4:2-3. Practically this means choosing to listen to understand rather than to defend, speaking truth in love without contempt or harshness, praying together before discussing difficult matters, and forgiving quickly. If you have not already, we encourage you to seek godly counsel together from a pastor or mature married believers who can walk with you and teach you healthy biblical communication.

We also join you in prayer for your DoorDash work and for your vehicle. We understand this is your only car and how you support yourselves, and we know the concern when a mechanic says it is on its last leg. We serve a Father who knows our needs. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Phil 4:19. Whatever you do, work heartily as for the Lord and not for men Col 3:23, and we pray He will bless the work of your hands and give you favor and provision as you labor diligently. We also rejoice that you desire flexibility to serve and to help build the Kingdom of God and that you sense a calling to full time ministry. Seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well Matt 6:33. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight Prov 3:5-6. We trust He sees your calling and your practical needs and is able to provide a reliable vehicle in His perfect timing and way.

We noticed your request speaks of God and His Kingdom but does not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by placing our faith in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we are saved and that our prayers are heard. We pray you are both resting fully in Him as Savior and Lord.

We pray together now, Father in heaven we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift this precious marriage to You. Lord knit their hearts together in unity and pour out Your love upon them. Teach the husband to love his wife as Christ loved the church with sacrificial patient love, and teach the wife to respect her husband as unto You. Give them a new way of communicating, let their words be seasoned with grace and truth, let them be quick to listen and slow to anger, and help them to handle conflict in a way that honors You, forgiving quickly and seeking reconciliation. Heal any wounds from harsh words or unresolved conflict and make their marriage a testimony of Your grace. Father we also ask for Your provision over their work. Bless their DoorDash labor, grant them safety on the road, favor with customers, and sufficient income to meet every need. We ask You to provide for a new vehicle according to Your riches, a reliable car that will allow them to work and to serve You in ministry. Guide them in their calling to full time ministry, make their steps clear, open doors no man can shut, and keep them faithful and humble as they build Your Kingdom. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying together daily, even briefly, and to study Scripture together about marriage and provision. God is faithful and He hears you. Keep seeking Him together and trusting Him to strengthen your unity and to supply all you need.

Thank you for sharing so honestly about your marriage and your work. We hear how deeply you want unity and respect for each other and how much you want to serve God faithfully, and how heavy it feels when communication breaks down and the car you depend on feels uncertain.

One thing that helps many couples is learning to notice what is happening between thoughts, feelings, and words. When we feel hurt or stressed, our tone, facial expression and posture often say more than our words, and our spouse hears that loudest. Slowing down to name what we are actually feeling before we respond can keep a disagreement from escalating.

A simple next step you might try together is a brief weekly check in, maybe 15 to 20 minutes with phones off, where each of you shares one feeling and one need from the week and the other simply listens to understand, not to fix. You could also agree on a gentle pause word to use when conflict gets heated, so you can both take a few minutes to pray and calm before continuing.

We also hear the pressure around DoorDash and your vehicle. That is a lot to carry when ministry opportunities come up. It may help to talk with a trusted person in your church about practical options for the car and for stewarding your DoorDash hours while you wait for clarity.

Father, we lift this couple to You. Draw them closer to each other and to You, teach them to hear and love each other well, and give them wisdom and provision for their work and their car. Guide their steps as they seek to serve You. In Jesus name, amen.

Your request for unity and love and respect within your marriage has been heard, and we join you in bringing it before the Lord who first loved us and who binds His people together.

We pray that the God who is love Himself would cause His love abounding toward you to become love abiding within you. For marriage is a lifelong covenant ordained by God, and the unity of the Spirit is manifested in love. By virtue of having the Spirit, the believer is in union with Christ, and that unity is sustained daily by the Spirit of God. He who makes us one, keeps us one. We ask the Lord to make your home a place where that communion is seen, where every part has fellowship with the other, working itself out in tender love.

We entreat the Lord to teach you to communicate in a healthy way and to handle conflict in a loving way. Divisions never begin with those full of love to the Savior, and the best way of promoting unity is to live near to Christ. May you watch together lest you fight even lawful battles with unholy weapons, and may you instead contend together for the common truth of God, co working in love against the common foe. May the Lord give you rapturous love blended with calm patience, and may you show your love to Him by joying in Him as He joys in you. As you look to Jesus, whose love to His chosen made Him desire to bind Himself to them, may your love pledge fidelity anew to Him and to one another, saying from renewed hearts, Lord, teach us to love Thee more and to love one another as Thou hast loved us.

We also bring before the Father your temporal needs, for He has respect unto the work of His own hands and every mercy, both temporal and spiritual, comes from that same love. We ask Him to bless the labor of your hands in your DoorDash work, to grant you favor and provision through it, and in His mercy to provide for your need of a vehicle. You have told us it is your only car and the means by which you support yourselves and serve as you are called to ministry. We pray the Lord who knows your frame and your necessity will open the way for a reliable provision, whether by repair or by a new conveyance, according to His wisdom and goodness, so that you may continue to walk in the calling He has given you to go and help build His Kingdom whenever you are called upon.

May the Lord make you to know more of Christ, to eat and drink abundantly at His table of love, and out of that fullness to love one another with an intense, practical, active love that never fails. May He keep you near Himself, and so keep you near each other, to His glory.

We commit you to Him who loved you before you loved Him, praying that He will establish your home in unity, in holy love, and in faithful service. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
