Disciple of Prayer
I’m not only losing faith I’m wanting to give up. I’ve been praying. We have ### children and they hate me. They won’t let me see my grandkids either. And they post and spread lies about me everywhere. They have false memories of things I’ve never done and said. They don’t know everything either. I just want my family back. I feel like I have no reason to live without them. I was raised that family is everything. Lord help me. Guide me. Fix us. I beg of you.

We hear the deep pain and brokenness in your heart and we are standing with you in prayer, asking God to hold you close in this very dark season. To feel rejected by your own children, cut off from your grandchildren, and slandered by lies and false memories is an agonizing burden, and to feel like you want to give up and have no reason to live tells us how heavy this has become. Please know you are not alone and you are deeply valued and seen by God.

We want to gently encourage you not to let go of your faith, even when it feels so thin. The Lord draws especially near to those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Isaiah 41:10 reminds us, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. When family forsakes us, God does not. Psalm 27:10 says When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up. He has not forsaken you.

We understand you were raised that family is everything, and family is a precious gift from God, but we want to lovingly correct where your pain has led you to feel you have no reason to live without them. Your ultimate reason to live is found in Christ Himself, who loves you, created you for purpose, and sustains you. Your life has immense value even when relationships are broken. Jeremiah 29:11 says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. And 1 Peter 5:7 says casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. We urge you to cast this entire burden on Him and to reach out right away to a trusted pastor, biblical counselor, or a mature Christian friend if these thoughts of giving up grow stronger. You are needed and you are loved.

We also notice you cried out to the Lord, which is good, but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to share with you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we pray and find hope when faith feels weak.

We pray for your children and grandchildren and for the painful estrangement and the lies being spread. God knows the truth when others believe false things and He sees what has been said and done. Proverbs 12:19 says Truth’s lips will be established forever, but a lying tongue is only momentary. We pray that God would expose lies with truth in His perfect timing and soften hearts that have grown hard. Romans 12:17-19 teaches us not to repay evil for evil, but to overcome evil with good and to leave vengeance to God. We encourage you not to retaliate or spread counter accusations, but to speak the truth in love as Ephesians 4:15 teaches, to keep your conduct gentle and blameless, and to continue to show love even from a distance. Forgiveness does not mean what happened was right, but as Ephesians 4:32 says, be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. This frees your heart while you trust God to work.

We also encourage you not to grow weary in doing what is right and in praying. Galatians 6:9 says Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up. Hebrews 10:23 says let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. Keep praying for reconciliation, but also surrender the outcome to God’s will, trusting that Romans 8:28 is true, that We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Sometimes restoration takes time, sometimes it requires boundaries and wise counsel, and sometimes God carries us through a long season of waiting to deepen our dependence on Him.

We pray together now for you.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. You see the tears, the loneliness, the ache of missing children and grandchildren, and the wound of being slandered and misunderstood. Lord, we ask You to be their strength when they have no strength left, to be their hope when faith feels gone, and to remind them that their life is precious in Your sight. Fill the emptiness with Your presence and help them to find their identity and reason to live in You. We ask You to guard their heart and mind from despair and from the lies of the enemy, and to surround them with godly support and counsel. We pray for their children, that You would soften their hearts, open their eyes to truth, heal false memories and hurts, and bring conviction where deception has taken root. We pray for the grandchildren, that You would protect them and keep a way open for love to flow again. Lord, bring truth to light, bring peace where there is turmoil, and bring reconciliation if it is Your will, in Your perfect time. Help this dear one to walk in forgiveness, patience, and unwavering prayer, and to hold fast to You. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to stay in the Word daily, to keep pouring out your heart honestly to God, and to let other believers walk with you closely in this trial. Matthew 11:28 says Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Come to Him again and again. He is able to fix what we cannot, to guide you step by step, and to carry you even when your family cannot. We are continuing to pray that God will guide you, comfort you, and restore what has been broken according to His perfect love and will.

We hear how heavy this has become for you, and how painful it is to love your children and grandchildren so deeply and feel cut off from them, especially while lies are being spread about you. To be accused of things you did not do and to have your memory of your own life questioned would leave anyone feeling lonely, helpless and exhausted in faith. It makes sense you are hurting so much.

You asked God to help, guide and fix what is broken, and we join you in that prayer. When family feels like everything, distance can feel like losing your reason to live. Please try not to carry this alone tonight. Alongside prayer, it helps to let one safe person know exactly how you are feeling and what you are thinking, whether a trusted pastor, counselor, doctor or family friend, and to stay connected with them in the coming days.

We are praying for you.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus' name. You see this loneliness and the ache for family. Hold them close tonight, guard their life, and give them wisdom for each next step. Bring steady, caring people around them and help them sense Your presence and direction. Amen.

Thanks for coming to God with your plea. We will certainly pray. May heavenly Father God guide you through this hard time. Make time for him each day and set aside time for each day with prayer and scriptures. Read write or listen to them online. More time we soemd with him the better it is. May God help your family get back together. In Lord Yeshuas name. The Lord console your heart. And give you purpose. The Lord give you mission. Praise. The Lord give you joy. Peace. Comfort. Be patient in affliction. Pray always. God bless. Lord Yeshuas name amen.

Lord, hold this grieving parent close. Heal what is broken, soften every heart, and restore this family in Your time. Keep them from despair and remind them they are not alone. In Jesus' name, Amen.

- *Psalm 34:18* — "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
- *Psalm 27:10* — "Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me."
- *Psalm 147:3* — "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

Your cry has come before the Lord and before His people, and it is not lightly heard. To be cut off from children and grandchildren, to be spoken against with untruths and to carry false accusations that you cannot answer, is a deep and piercing sorrow. And to feel your faith failing under the weight of it, so that you whisper that you have no reason to live, is a burden that calls for tender and faithful care.

Hear first a word concerning this despair that now presses upon you. Finding there is no hope in himself, a man draws the unwarrantable conclusion that there is no hope for him in God. It is needful to wrestle with that despair as once you wrestled with self confidence, for both are forms of self righteousness. To say, Our hope is lost, goes beyond the truth of God. God is the sinner's hope and He is not lost, so the word of despair is not warranted. He is the God of Hope, and while we have Him we have hope. As one has said, while I hope I breathe and while I breathe I hope. Your life lies in hope, and while you have hope in Christ you have life. No man has a just pretense to perish in despair. Despair is not so much a sickness of the understanding as a sin of the soul to be confessed and to be fought with the shield of faith.

You say you have been praying and yet your faith seems so small that you are ready to give up. Take heart, for the least faith in Jesus is the gift of God and it is like precious faith, though it is not like strong faith. Little faith is born from above and belongs to the family of the saved. The weakest faith is real faith. If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you can do wonders, for that little faith still lays hold upon a great Saviour. Faith is a connection with Christ. Christ is on the shore holding the rope, and if you lay hold of it with the hand of confidence, though your hand trembles, He pulls you to shore. You need not have great faith to be kept, for the vessel in which you have embarked is safe, and you will get to shore as surely with little faith as with great, because the keeping lies in Christ and not in the strength of your grip.

You have known seasons when prayer was delight and faith was vigorous, and you marvelled to see the adversary subdued beneath the feet of faith. Faith in the young beginner is soon cast down and doubts and fears prevail, but if we grow in divine grace we become rooted and grounded. We have tasted and handled and lived upon these things, and being established in them we are not to be moved from the hope of our calling. Above all, take the shield of faith, for it quenches the fiery darts of the wicked, whether they come from Satan, from wicked men, or from your own cast down heart. When the enemy says your confidence is vain and your hope shall soon be cut off, faith answers, I have been young and now am old, yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken.

Concerning your family, the Lord knows the truth that others have twisted or forgotten. He sees what has been said and what has never been done, and He will be your defender when you cannot defend yourself. He is the God of Peace and He has prepared everything that is necessary for a perfect reconciliation, and He has committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Pray on for that reconciliation, and plead earnestly that the Holy Spirit would work it in His time. Yet do not make your very life to hang upon whether men return to you. Family is a precious gift, but your reason to live is not in their approval, it is in Christ who loved you and gave Himself for you. If your hope rests only in family restored, it will be shaken with every harsh word. If your hope rests in Christ, it stands firm though the storm rages.

Therefore continue in prayer, but pray with faith in Christ alone for salvation and for daily grace. Bring your children and grandchildren by name before Him, ask Him to turn their hearts toward truth and toward you if it be His will, and to keep the little ones in His care where you cannot reach them. Do not walk after your own devices to win them by strife or by answering every lie abroad. Commit your cause to Him who judges righteously. Seek the fellowship of faithful believers near you, open your sorrow to a trusted pastor or elder, and let them bear the burden with you and watch over you in these dark days. If the thought of having no reason to live grows heavy, do not remain alone with it, but reach at once for help from those who love you and who can be with you.

May the Lord turn the ray of hope you still possess, though it seems but a spark, from a possible hope into an actual and good hope of eternal life through believing in Jesus Christ. May He increase your faith, for there is great reason why our faith in Christ should be strong. He is faithful, His mercy endures, and all things are possible to him that believes.

We pray for you now, that the Lord would help you, guide you, and in His mercy bring healing where there has been wounding. That He would guard your heart from despair, strengthen the little faith you have, keep you in perfect peace as your mind is stayed on Him, and in His time and wisdom work toward peace in your household. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been heard and your pain is not hidden from God. To feel that you have no reason to live, to carry the ache of children who have turned away and grandchildren you cannot see, and to bear lies spread about you, is a heavy burden. Thank you for bringing it honestly before the Lord and before his people.

I want to speak first to the despair you named, the sense of losing faith and wanting to give up. Scripture warns us that to sin does not destroy us so much as to despair does. One who has fallen can rise again quickly through repentance and faith, but one who has learned to despair fails to apply the very remedy that would heal him. The evil one never despairs of our destruction, he never gives up hope of pulling us down. How much more should we not despair of our own salvation, when God himself is eager to save. This is not yet the time for despair. Now is the time of gift, the time when the door is still open and the contest is still underway. Now we are called to draw near to God boldly with faith, and he promises to give all that we need. Even when things are turning out adversely, faith believes that God is still ordering all things in due season, as he did when he shut the mouths of lions and quenched the fire for those who trusted him.

That does not make your sorrow small. Family is a good gift from God, and when it is broken it wounds deeply. When children hold false memories and speak lies, when access to grandchildren is cut off, the heart rightly grieves. God sees every word spoken about you, he knows the truth of what you have done and said, and he knows also what you do not know. He is not confused by partial stories. Commit your cause to him who judges justly. Do not try to repay lies with lies or to force a reconciliation that only God can bring about in his time. Continue to do what is right, to speak truth gently, to show love without demanding immediate return, and to keep the door open for peace when the Lord makes a way.

You asked God to guide you and to fix what is broken. He does guide those who ask him in faith, not by measuring his power with our human reason, but by trusting that he is able to raise up even what seems dead. Pray boldly for your children and grandchildren by name. Ask God first to keep you and to renew your faith in Christ, for your life has reason and value because you belong to him, even when family fails. Then ask him to soften hearts, to bring truth to light, and to make a path for reconciliation if it is his will. Seek steady fellowship with faithful believers near you, let mature Christians know your struggle, and receive counsel and prayer face to face. If you have sinned against your children in any way, be willing to confess it plainly and ask forgiveness. If you have not, continue to walk in patience and kindness, leaving vengeance to the Lord.

May the Lord hear your cry. I pray that he will lift the cloud of despair from you, strengthen your faith to draw near to him with confidence, guard your heart from giving up, comfort you in this loneliness, protect your children and grandchildren, expose what is false and heal what is wounded, and in his mercy bring reconciliation where now there is division. He is able to do more than we ask, and he has promised that those who seek him will not be put to shame.

Do not give up. Keep praying, keep believing, keep living before the Lord day by day. He is still at work, and his mercy is still open to you and to your family.

Hi, so my phone recently got into a loop of keep restarting without any sign of going back to normal. I'm trying to somehow fix it, but I'm hoping it leads to losing everything on my phone; it would be devastating to me, and all of my memories are there.
