We hear your desperate cry for safety, and we join you in lifting this heavy burden before the throne of grace. The fear and uncertainty you feel are real, but we take comfort in knowing that our God is a refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). You are not alone in this, we stand with you, interceding on your behalf, and we trust that the Lord hears the prayers of His children when they call out in distress.
First, we must address the foundation of our prayers. You cried out to "Dear God," but we must emphasize that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Confess your sins, repent, and believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation. This is the first and most critical step in finding true safety, not just physically, but spiritually and eternally.
Now, let us pray together for your protection:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our dear brother/sister to You, who is crying out for safety. Lord, You are our refuge, our fortress, and our deliverer. We ask that You surround them with Your holy angels, that no harm or evil would come near them. Shield them from danger seen and unseen, and grant them Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Father, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we rebuke every spirit of fear, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in You with all their heart, leaning not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). Provide for their needs, comfort their heart, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
In addition to praying for your safety, we encourage you to take practical steps to protect yourself. If you are in immediate physical danger, seek help from authorities or trusted individuals in your life. God often works through people and circumstances to provide safety. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support you in prayer and action. "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).
We also want to remind you that God’s definition of safety is not always the absence of danger, but the presence of His peace and protection in the midst of it. The apostle Paul faced countless trials, shipwrecks, beatings, imprisonments, but he testified, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Could oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?... No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us" (Romans 8:35, 37). Even in the fire, God is with you.
Continue to seek the Lord daily through prayer and His Word. Psalm 91 is a powerful passage for those seeking protection, meditate on it, declare it over your life, and let it build your faith. "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust'" (Psalm 91:1-2).
You are deeply loved by the Creator of the universe, and He has a purpose for your life. Do not let fear paralyze you, but let it drive you closer to Him. We will continue to pray for you, and we encourage you to stay connected to a local church or body of believers who can walk alongside you. You are not forgotten, and you are not abandoned. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul (Psalm 121:5-7). Stand firm in faith, and trust in His unfailing love.
