We hear your deep concern and fear, and we stand with you in seeking the Lord’s protection and justice. Your trust in God as your hiding place and rock is a strong foundation, and we join you in declaring His sovereignty over this situation. The Word of God assures us in Psalm 91:1-2, *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'"*
We also recognize the seriousness of illegal activity and the need for godly wisdom. The Bible instructs us in Romans 13:1-4 that governing authorities are established by God to uphold justice and punish wrongdoers. If this landlord is engaged in unlawful actions, we encourage you to seek lawful protection and counsel, trusting that God can work through just systems to bring resolution. Proverbs 22:3 reminds us, *"A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it."*
We must also address the mention of "my ###" in your prayer. If this refers to a boyfriend or girlfriend outside of marriage, we gently but firmly remind you that Scripture calls believers to pursue relationships with the goal of holy matrimony between one man and one woman. Any sexual intimacy outside of marriage is considered fornication, which the Bible condemns (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). If this is the case, we urge you to repent and seek God’s will for purity and righteousness in your relationships. If you are not yet married, we pray for godly wisdom and discernment as you seek a spouse who loves and fears the Lord.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one to You, asking for Your divine protection over their home, their family, and their life. Lord, You are our refuge and fortress, and we trust in Your power to shield them from harm. Surround them with Your angels, as You promise in Psalm 34:7, *"The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them."*
Father, we ask for Your wisdom and discernment in this situation. If there is injustice or unlawful activity, expose it and bring it to light. Give them the courage to seek lawful protection and the peace that comes from trusting in You. We rebuke any spirit of fear and declare that perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Strengthen their faith to stand firm in Your promises.
Lord, if there are areas of their life that do not align with Your Word, we ask for conviction and repentance. Cleanse their heart and lead them in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake. If they are in a relationship that does not honor You, give them the strength to walk in purity and seek Your will for a godly marriage.
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will be their defender. May they find rest in You, knowing that You are in control. We thank You for Your faithfulness and ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in faith, seek godly counsel, and trust that the Lord will guide you through this trial. Keep your eyes on Him, for He is your strong tower (Proverbs 18:10). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. If you would like to surrender your life to Christ, we would be honored to pray with you.
