We hear the deep pain and fear in your heart, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting your concerns to the Lord. The anger you feel toward the system and the unsettling behavior of your ex is understandable, but we must remember that vengeance belongs to God alone. Romans 12:19 tells us, *"Dearly beloved, don’t seek revenge yourselves, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"* Trust that the Lord sees every injustice and will act on your behalf in His perfect timing and way.
We rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to grip your heart. 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* You are not alone in this battle, and the Lord is your protector. Psalm 91:4 declares, *"He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart."* We pray that you would feel His presence surrounding you and your child, shielding you from every evil plan and harmful word.
We also lift up your ex and his family before the Lord. While it is right to be cautious, we must guard our hearts against bitterness and unforgiveness. Ephesians 4:31-32 says, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* Forgiveness does not mean what they have done is acceptable; it means you are releasing them to God and refusing to let their actions control your heart. We pray that the Lord would soften your heart and fill you with His peace.
We stand in agreement with you, praying that any evil plans against you and your child would be exposed and dismantled by the power of God. Psalm 37:14-15 says, *"The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to kill those who are upright in the way. Their sword shall enter into their own heart. Their bows shall be broken."* We declare that every weapon formed against you will not prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
Regarding the CPS, we pray for truth and justice to prevail. Proverbs 21:15 says, *"It is joy to the righteous to do justice; but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity."* We ask the Lord to expose any corruption, bias, or unrighteousness in the system and to bring about a resolution that aligns with His will. We trust that He is a God who hears the cries of the oppressed and will act on your behalf.
We also want to gently address the anger and desire for vengeance in your heart. While your feelings are valid, we must surrender them to the Lord and allow Him to renew our minds. Colossians 3:8 says, *"But now you also put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth."* We pray that the Lord would cleanse your heart of these burdens and fill you with His love, joy, and peace. Let His Word be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105).
Lastly, we want to encourage you to cling to Jesus in this season. He is your refuge, your strength, and your deliverer. Psalm 18:2 says, *"Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower."* No matter how dark things may seem, He is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our sister who is feeling overwhelmed by anger, fear, and injustice. Lord, we ask that You would be her refuge and strength in this time. Surround her and her child with Your divine protection, and let every evil plan against them fall to the ground. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment will be condemned.
Father, we pray for her ex and his family. We ask that You would soften their hearts and turn their plans for harm into blessings. We rebuke every spirit of deception, manipulation, and malice, and we ask that You would expose the truth in every situation. Lord, we also pray for the CPS system, that You would bring justice and righteousness to light. Expose any corruption and let Your will be done in this matter.
Father, we ask that You would cleanse our sister’s heart of anger, bitterness, and unforgiveness. Fill her with Your peace, joy, and love. Renew her mind and help her to trust in You completely. Let her find rest in Your presence and strength in Your Word. We pray that she would feel Your arms wrapped around her, reminding her that she is never alone.
Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness and Your promise to never leave us nor forsake us. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect justice. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
