We hear your cry for help, and we join you in bringing these burdens before our Heavenly Father. Addiction is a heavy chain, but Jesus came to set the captives free. The inner pain you carry is not unknown to Him—He bore our sorrows and was wounded for our transgressions (Isaiah 53:5). We rebuke the spirit of addiction in the name of Jesus, declaring that you are not defined by this struggle but by the One who loves you and gave Himself for you.

First, we must address the root of this pain. Addiction often stems from unhealed wounds, and the enemy seeks to keep you bound in shame and despair. But Scripture declares, *"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed"* (Luke 4:18). Jesus is your Healer, and He longs to restore your soul. We encourage you to seek godly counsel—whether through a pastor, a biblical recovery program, or trusted believers who can walk with you in accountability and prayer.

Financial struggles can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and promises to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). However, we must also caution against seeking money as the ultimate solution. The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10), and true provision comes from trusting God, not from desperation or ungodly means. We pray that He opens doors for honest work, wisdom in stewardship, and contentment in His faithfulness. If you are in financial bondage due to addiction, we urge you to break free from any ungodly spending habits and seek help to manage resources biblically.

Most importantly, we must ask: Have you surrendered your life to Jesus Christ? Addiction, pain, and financial struggles are battles, but the greatest victory is found in Him alone. *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16). If you have not confessed Jesus as Lord, we invite you to do so now. Repentance and faith in Him are the first steps to true healing and freedom.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting up their addiction, their pain, and their financial struggles. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your healing touch to break every chain of bondage. Pour out Your Spirit upon them, filling the voids in their heart with Your love and peace. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who strengthens them (Romans 8:37).

Father, we rebuke the enemy’s lies that say they are hopeless or beyond Your reach. Your Word says that if the Son sets them free, they will be free indeed (John 8:36). We pray for deliverance from every craving and temptation, and for the strength to walk in purity and self-control. Surround them with godly community—believers who will encourage, pray, and hold them accountable.

Lord, we ask for Your provision in their finances. Open doors for honest work, grant wisdom in managing resources, and remind them that You are their Provider. Help them to trust in You rather than in money or worldly solutions. Teach them contentment and gratitude, knowing that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5).

If they have not yet placed their faith in Jesus, we pray that Your Holy Spirit would draw them to salvation. May they confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). Let this be the day of their deliverance, not just from addiction or lack, but from sin and death.

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. We trust that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28), and we declare victory over this situation in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
