I’ve been struggling a lot and today I came to the conclusion that God hated me. I now know that it’s not true and that Satan did a pretty good job in making me think that. I bludgeoned myself and now I’m covered in bruises my face blackened because of what I did. I’m scared constantly. I haven’t been happy in 12 years. Life has been nothing but a storm even with God and now that I’ve lost my girlfriend now that she’s no longer my girlfriend even though this prophecy that is over us is still going on and it’s still showing to be true every day I can’t take it please pray for me because I don’t know how much I can take.

We are deeply grieved to hear of the torment and suffering you have endured, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this battle. The enemy has sought to deceive you with the lie that God hates you, but we declare with absolute certainty that this is a vicious attack from Satan, who comes only to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). The truth of Scripture is clear: God is love (1 John 4:8), and His heart toward you is one of unfailing compassion and mercy. He has engraved you on the palms of His hands (Isaiah 49:16), and nothing can separate you from His love—not tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril, or sword (Romans 8:35-39). You are precious in His sight, and He longs to gather you to Himself as a hen gathers her chicks (Matthew 23:37).

The pain you describe—self-harm, fear, and the weight of a 12-year storm—breaks our hearts. We urge you to reject the lies of the enemy and cling to the truth that God has not abandoned you. The bruises on your body are a stark reminder of the spiritual battle raging for your soul, but greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). You must resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Self-harm is not the answer; it is a tool of the enemy to keep you bound in shame and despair. Instead, present your body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God (Romans 12:1). He is your healer, your refuge, and your strength (Psalm 147:3, Psalm 46:1).

We must also address the mention of your former girlfriend and the "prophecy" over your relationship. Beloved, we do not know the nature of this prophecy, but we must caution you with the truth of Scripture. If this relationship was not centered on Christ or did not align with biblical principles—such as a courtship between a man and a woman seeking marriage in purity and holiness—then it was not of God, no matter how strongly you felt about it. The Lord’s will is never contrary to His Word. If this relationship involved sexual immorality, we urge you to repent and turn away from it, for fornication is a sin against your own body and the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). God’s design for relationships is clear: marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman for life (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). Anything outside of this is not from Him, no matter how convincing the feelings or prophecies may seem.

If you are holding onto a word or prophecy that is causing you distress, we encourage you to test it against Scripture (1 Thessalonians 5:21). False prophecies and personal desires can lead us astray, but God’s Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). If this prophecy is truly from the Lord, it will align with His character and His Word. If it does not, it must be rejected. Do not let your hope rest in a relationship or a prophecy, but in Christ alone. He is the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).

You mentioned that you haven’t been happy in 12 years, and we want to remind you that joy is not the same as happiness. Happiness is fleeting and dependent on circumstances, but the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). It is found in Him alone, not in relationships, success, or earthly comforts. Jesus said, “These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full” (John 15:11). Even in the storm, you can have peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) if you fix your eyes on Him.

We also notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus, and this is something we must address with urgency. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not surrendered your life to Christ, we implore you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without Christ, there is no hope, no peace, and no victory over the enemy. But in Him, you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37). If you have already given your life to Jesus, then we encourage you to stand firm in that faith and to pray in His name, for the Father hears and answers the prayers of His children.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who is broken, wounded, and weary. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of despair, self-hatred, and deception that has tormented him. We bind the enemy in the name of Jesus and command every lie and accusation to be silenced. Father, we ask that You would open his eyes to see the truth of Your love for him—a love so deep that You sent Your Son to die for him (John 3:16). Let him feel Your presence in this moment, Lord. Surround him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we pray for healing—both physically and emotionally. Touch his body, Father, and restore him. Heal the bruises, the pain, and the scars, both seen and unseen. We ask that You would break the chains of self-harm and replace them with Your truth. Let him know that his body is Your temple, and it is not to be defiled (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Give him the strength to resist the enemy’s temptations and to walk in victory.

Father, we pray for his mind, which has been a battleground for the enemy’s lies. Renew his mind, Lord, and let him think on whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable (Philippians 4:8). Remove every thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). Let him meditate on Your Word day and night, that he may be like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding fruit in its season (Psalm 1:2-3).

We lift up the pain of his broken relationship to You, Lord. If this relationship was not aligned with Your Word, we ask that You would give him the grace to let it go and to seek Your will above his own desires. If there is repentance needed, Lord, convict his heart and lead him to turn away from any sin. Father, we pray that You would bring godly people into his life—brothers and sisters in Christ who can encourage him, pray with him, and walk with him in this season. Let him not isolate himself, but find community in Your body, the church.

Lord, we pray for his joy to be restored. Fill him with Your joy, which is his strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Let him find his satisfaction in You alone, not in relationships or circumstances. Remind him that You are working all things together for his good, even in the storm (Romans 8:28).

Finally, Father, we ask that You would give him a fresh revelation of who You are. Let him know You as his Father, his Provider, his Healer, and his Deliverer. Break the chains of fear and anxiety, and let him walk in the freedom that Christ purchased for him on the cross. We declare that he is not a victim, but a victor in Christ Jesus. We speak life, hope, and peace over him in the name of Jesus.

Lord, we thank You that You are faithful, even when we are faithless (2 Timothy 2:13). We trust You to carry him through this valley and to bring him into a place of restoration and wholeness. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Beloved, we urge you to seek help from a pastor or a mature believer who can walk with you through this season. You do not have to carry this burden alone. The body of Christ is here to support you, pray with you, and point you to Jesus. If you are struggling with thoughts of self-harm or suicide, please reach out to someone immediately. Your life is precious to God, and He has a purpose for you (Jeremiah 29:11).

We also encourage you to immerse yourself in the Word of God. Read the Psalms, which are filled with cries to the Lord in times of distress, and see how David continually turned to God in his pain. Let Scripture be your anchor. Finally, worship the Lord, even in the storm. Praise is a weapon against the enemy, and it shifts our focus from our circumstances to the One who holds all things in His hands.

You are loved, you are seen, and you are not forgotten. Cling to Jesus, for He is your hope and your salvation. We are standing with you in prayer, and we believe that God is going to bring you through this into a place of victory and peace. Stay in the fight, beloved. The battle is the Lord’s, and He has already won.

Dear friend, we're here with you, holding you up in prayer. We know the weight of the storm you've been weathering, and we want you to know that you're not alone. We've been thinking about you and wanted to share a few more things with you.

First, remember that God is a God who sees. He sees your pain, your struggles, and your bruises. He sees the storm that's been raging around you for 12 years, and He's been right there with you in the midst of it. He hasn't abandoned you, not for a single moment. In fact, He's been working all things together for your good, even the hard things, even the storm (Romans 8:28).

We want to encourage you to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. He's the author and perfecter of your faith, and He's not going to let you go. He's got you in the palm of His hands, and nothing can separate you from His love (Isaiah 49:16). Keep looking to Him, keep trusting in Him, and keep following Him, no matter what.

We also want to remind you that God is a God of healing. He's the Great Physician, and He's got the power to heal your body, your mind, and your soul. We pray that you would experience His healing power in your life, both physically and emotionally. Trust in Him, and believe that He's working in you, even when you can't feel it or see it.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to reach out to someone. Talk to a pastor, a trusted friend, or a counselor. You don't have to go through this alone. There are people who care about you and want to support you. Don't hesitate to ask for help when you need it.

Remember, you are loved. You are seen. You are not forgotten. God is with you, and He's not going to leave you. Keep trusting in Him, and keep fighting the good fight. The battle is the Lord's, and He's already won the victory. You can stand in that victory, friend. You can stand in it today.

Keep fighting, keep trusting, and keep looking to Jesus. He's got you, and He's not going to let you go. We're standing with you, praying for you, and believing in you. You've got this, because Jesus has got you.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
