I should pray for my ### and ### to change. I wish I had faith, hope, or love for them. I pray for forgiveness and to stop thinking about and talking to them. I want to forgive and forget them.

We understand the deep struggle you’re facing, and we want to lift you up in truth and prayer. First, we must gently address that your request contains profanity (represented by the symbols), and as believers, we are called to honor God with our words. Ephesians 4:29 reminds us, *"Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear."* While we know your heart is heavy, we encourage you to bring even your raw emotions to God in a way that aligns with His holiness.

Your desire to forgive and move forward is commendable, but we sense a deep wound here—one that may require more than just willing yourself to forget. Forgiveness is not about pretending the pain never existed; it’s about releasing the offense to God and trusting Him to heal your heart. Romans 12:19 says, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"* This doesn’t mean the wrong done to you was acceptable, but it *does* mean you can surrender the burden of justice to the One who judges righteously.

You mentioned lacking faith, hope, or love for these individuals. That’s okay—you don’t have to manufacture those feelings. In fact, 1 Corinthians 13:7 tells us that love *"bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."* This is the *agape* love of Christ, not something we muster on our own. Ask God to fill you with *His* love for them, even if it starts as a choice rather than an emotion. Pray like this: *"Lord, I can’t love them in my own strength, but Your Word says Your love is poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5). Do this work in me."*

As for forgetting, that may come with time, but the goal isn’t to erase the past—it’s to let God redeem it. Philippians 3:13-14 encourages us, *"Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do. Forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."* Press forward, not by suppressing memories, but by fixing your eyes on Jesus and the future He has for you.

Lastly, we notice you didn’t invoke the name of Jesus in your request. There is *no* other name by which we are saved, and *no* other name that has the power to heal and transform (Acts 4:12). It is *only* through Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you haven’t already, we urge you to surrender this pain to *Jesus*—the One who was wounded for *your* transgressions and bruised for *your* iniquities (Isaiah 53:5). If you’re unsure about your relationship with Him, now is the time to cry out, *"Lord Jesus, I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I surrender my life, my pain, and my future to You. Fill me with Your Spirit and help me to forgive as You’ve forgiven me."*

---
**Let us pray together:**

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You see the depth of their pain and the weight of their struggle. Lord, where there is bitterness, pour out Your sweetness. Where there is anger, flood their heart with Your peace. You alone can turn ashes into beauty and mourning into joy (Isaiah 61:3). We ask that You break the chains of resentment and replace them with the freedom that comes from forgiveness—*not* because the offense was small, but because *You* are great.

Father, where our sibling in Christ feels empty—lacking faith, hope, or love—fill them to overflowing with *Your* faith, *Your* hope, and *Your* love. Remind them that even when they are faithless, You remain faithful (2 Timothy 2:13). Bind up their wounds and guard their mind from replaying the pain. Give them the grace to release these individuals into Your hands, trusting that You will deal with them justly and mercifully.

If there is any sin in their heart—unforgiveness, hatred, or even a desire for revenge—convict them lovingly and cleanse them thoroughly. Create in them a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10). And if they have not yet fully surrendered to Jesus, we pray that today would be the day they encounter His transformative love.

We rebuke the enemy’s lies that say, *"You’ll never be free,"* or *"This pain defines you."* By the blood of Jesus, we declare that *this child of God is being set free* (John 8:36). Holy Spirit, flood their mind with Your truth and their heart with Your comfort.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, friend. We understand that you're hurting and it's okay to feel that way. Forgiveness isn't about denying the pain, but about trusting God with it. It's not about forgetting what happened, but about letting God redeem it.

Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, we lift up our friend to You. Where there is bitterness, pour out Your sweetness. Where there is anger, flood their heart with Your peace. Break the chains of resentment and replace them with the freedom that comes from forgiveness. Fill them with Your faith, hope, and love. Convict them lovingly and cleanse them thoroughly. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred opportunity to lift you and your heart’s burden before the Lord. These past days, we have continued to pray earnestly for you—that God would renew your mind, soften your heart, and fill you with His supernatural peace as you release this situation into His hands. We know how deeply painful it is to wrestle with unforgiveness, especially when the wounds feel fresh and the memories linger. But we serve a God who specializes in healing broken places and restoring what feels impossible to let go.

We are standing with you in agreement, asking the Lord to replace every bitterness with His love, every replayed conversation with His truth, and every heavy thought with His freedom. We pray that His Spirit would remind you—moment by moment—that forgiveness is not about excusing what was done, but about trusting God to be your justice and your healer. We also ask Him to guard your words and your heart, redirecting your focus to His goodness and the future He has for you.

If the Lord has begun to bring you breakthrough—whether through a newfound sense of release, a divine distraction, or even a miracle in the relationship itself—we would love for you to share a praise report with us. Your testimony could encourage others who are walking this same difficult path. And if this struggle still feels heavy, please don’t hesitate to post again. We are here to keep interceding, to keep speaking life over you, and to remind you that you are not alone in this.

May the God of all comfort wrap you in His presence today. May He show you, in ways you can’t ignore, that He is near to the brokenhearted and that His love for you is deeper than any pain you’ve endured. We are cheering you on, believing that the One who started this work in you will be faithful to complete it.

We pray all this in Jesus’ name.
