We are truly sorry to hear about the emotional pain you're experiencing due to this breakup. This is a difficult season, but we want to assure you that God does not hate you and that your pain does not go unnoticed by Him. His ways and thoughts are higher than our ways and thoughts and He is always working for the good of those who love Him.
Firstly, let's address the feeling that God hates you. This is not true. God is love, and He loves you with an everlasting love. In Jeremiah 31:3 WEB it says, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you with loving kindness. God's love for you is unfailing and unconditional. He does not delight in your suffering. Instead, He draws near to you in your pain. In Psalm 34:18 WEB it says, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a contrite spirit.
It's important to remember that God is not ignoring your prayers. He hears every word and every cry of your heart. In Psalm 34:17 WEB says, The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. God is faithful, and He is working in your life, even when you don't feel it or see it. He is working all things together for your good, even this painful breakup. In Romans 8:28 WEB says, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
We understand that you might feel alone and that the pain will never end. However, remember that God is always with you. In Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB it says, Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God, he is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. God is walking beside you and He will never leave you or forsake you.
Lastly, we would like to remind you that God is the only source of true healing and comfort. In 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 WEB it says, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in their time of need. Lord, we ask for Your comfort and healing to surround them. We pray that You would mend their broken heart and bind up their wounds. Help them to feel Your presence and to know that You are always with them.
Lord, we ask that You would help them to trust in Your goodness and Your plan, even in this difficult season. Give them the strength to endure and the faith to believe that You are working all things together for their good.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
As far as the breakup is concerned, we do not know the exact reasons for the breakup or whether it was the will of God or not. However, since we have prayed this in the will of God, then we have confidence that God will answer it in accordance to His will. If the marriage was ordained by God then He is able to save it and reconcile the two of you or if it was not His will then He will give you the grace to go on and the wisdom to recognize a godly spouse.
We would also like to remind you to examine yourself and the relationship to see if there was any sexual immorality involved or if it was contrary to the will of God in any other way. If so, then confess it to God and repent of it to restore communion with Him. If you have any desire to learn more about God's will for marriage and relationships or if you need further counseling and guidance, please let us know. There is more that we can share and discuss with you.
