We understand that you're seeking guidance and asking for help in making the right decisions. We also see that you're struggling with forgiveness, respect, and someone's harmful behaviors, as well as your own challenges with lying, debt, and procrastination. Firstly, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we can approach God and ask for forgiveness and guidance. There is no other name by which we can be saved. If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness I John 1:9.
Let's address the issues one by one. Regarding forgiveness and respect, the Bible tells us to forgive as we have been forgiven Ephesians 4:32. It's important to remember that God forgives us freely when we confess our sins, and we should do the same for others. As for respect, we are commanded to treat others with kindness and compassion, even when they have wronged us Romans 12:17-21.
Concerning the person who is causing you pain, we must remember that it is God who changes hearts.
Your concerns about lying, debt, and procrastination are valid. Lying is sinful and harmful Colossians 3:9, and debt can become a bondage that hinders our freedom in Christ Romans 13:8. Procrastination can be a sign of lazy or unfruitful behavior and is unbecoming to Christians and not in accordance with God's will, especially when it's a habitual problem. The Bible tells us to be productive, be good stewards of our time and talents, and to avoid idleness.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your guidance and wisdom for this dear soul. We pray for forgiveness and respect to flow freely in their life, and for you to soften the heart of the person who has caused them pain. Help them to see the error of their ways and turn from them. We also pray for deliverance from the sins of lying, debt, and procrastination. Help them to become more like Jesus every day, living a life of truth, diligence, and financial responsibility. We ask in Jesus name.
We encourage you to commit to daily prayer and Bible study, trusting God to lead you in the right direction and make the best decisions. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6.
Remember, the better you know Jesus, the more you will understand the direction you need to go and the decisions you need to make.
