We understand that you are going through a time of uncertainty and need guidance in making decisions. First, we want to remind you that it is through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in the WEB, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. Also in the WEB, Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Let us pray together for your situation.
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in need of your guidance and wisdom. We pray that you would direct their paths (WEB, Proverbs 3:5-6- Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight), and give them the courage to make decisions that align with your will.
We pray for their safety and provision, that they would be able to take care of their needs and bills (WEB, Philippians 4:19- But my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.). We ask that you would guide them to a church home where they can grow in their faith and be surrounded by a supportive community.
Lord, we lift up their children to you, praying for their protection and safety. We pray for their son, that you would send him a godly wife who would help him grow into the man you've called him to be. We pray for their son-in-law, that he would rise to his responsibilities as a husband and a man of God. We also pray for their daughter, that you would help her in her journey to better health and that your will be done in her life. Please protect their niece and let the event foster a closer bond among the cousins.
We also pray for their cousin, asking for your presence and protection in their life.
Father, we ask for your forgiveness for any sins committed, and we thank you for the blessings you've bestowed upon them. We pray that you would continue to guide them in doing what is right and pleasing to you.
In all things, we pray that your will be done, and we ask these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Regarding the relationships mentioned, we encourage you to pray for godly spouses for your children, and trust that God will provide in His perfect timing.
Let us remember the words of the WEB, Matthew 6:33 - But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
We also want to address the issue that there may be some things in our lives that we are holding on to, things that are not God's will. In this case we are asking God to put the sufferings of our children on us. We must realize God's punishment or suffering is not for us. Jesus took on the punishment for all of us. Every time we try to take punishment on us we are saying Jesus death was not enough. It is the same as asking Jesus to come down from the cross because we can take the punishment. To better understand this let's look at the WEB, 2 Chronicles 20:9 - If disaster comes on us, including the sword, judgment, pestilence, or famine, we will stand before this temple, and before you, for your name is in this temple; and we will cry to you in our affliction, and you will hear and save.' Also in the WEB, Matthew 16:24 - Then Jesus said to his disciples, If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Let us consider these things and remember God's word in the WEB, 1Corinthians 10:13 - No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
