Father God, I praise You for Mike's willingness to pursue these changes. You have given us these temples to be Your hands, eyes, ears and hearts on earth. Grant Mike the willpower against temptation needed to break these addictions. Give him Your strength to navigate through life without turning to smoking and drinking. I praise You for his commitment, and ask for Your blessing and guidance upon him. In the perfect name of Jesus I ask these things, amen.

Lord Jesus, Mike is standing before us asking for help. I lift him up to the Throne of Grace. I ask for devine intervention to help him break free from these addictions. He needs your guidance today. Draw him close to you and let him draw you close to him.
Give him wisdom to see that they affect his health and well being. Give him strength to break away and free himself. Pour out your blood and cover him as he heals from the effects of these vises. Break the grip from the forces of darkness and cover him with a hedge of protection. Let him feel your love and sweet peace as he surrenders these addictions to you. Help him to bind them and cast them away. We thank you and praise you for what you are about to do in Mike's life. For your grace is more than sufficient to meet his needs. Amen
