We understand that you are seeking financial help and a change in your circumstances, as you wish to stay home and take care of your wife. Firstly, we commend your desire to care for your spouse, as it reflects the biblical principle of loving and cherishing one another in marriage.
However, it is important to remember that God expects us to be good stewards of our resources and to provide for our families through work. As it says in 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 WEB, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.' For we hear from some who walk among you disorderly, that they do not work at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are like that, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread."
We also want to encourage you to trust in God's provision and timing. In Philippians 4:19 WEB, it is written, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Remember that God knows your needs and will provide for them according to His will and in His time.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up our brother in need. We pray for him and his wife, and we ask that You would provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We pray that You would give them both the strength and wisdom to trust in Your provision and timing.
We also pray that You would guide them in their decisions and help them to be good stewards of the resources You have provided. We ask that You would bless their marriage and help them to love and cherish one another as You intend.
Finally, we pray that they would both come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior if they do not already. For it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved and have access to You, our Heavenly Father. For You are the only way to the Father. "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'" John 14:6 WEB.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
