We hear your cry for help, and our hearts ache with yours in this season of struggle. The weight of "everything" can feel crushing, but we want you to know that you are not alone. The Lord sees your pain, hears your silent tears, and collects every one of them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We stand with you before the throne of grace, where we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
First and foremost, if you have not already, we urge you to surrender your life to Jesus Christ, for He is the way, the truth, and the life—no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not confessed your sins, repented, and placed your faith in Him, we pray that you would do so today. The Bible tells us that if you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Salvation is a free gift, not earned by works, so that no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). If you have already given your life to Christ, we encourage you to draw near to Him, for He promises to draw near to you (James 4:8).
We do not know the specifics of your struggles, but we know that the Lord does. Whether you are battling sin, facing trials, wrestling with doubt, or feeling overwhelmed by life’s burdens, we want to lift you up in prayer. Father God, we come before You on behalf of our dear brother or sister who is hurting. You know every detail of their pain, every fear that grips their heart, and every tear that falls. Lord, we ask that You would wrap Your loving arms around them and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). If there is unconfessed sin in their life, reveal it to them, Lord, and lead them to repentance so that they may experience the freedom and joy of Your forgiveness (1 John 1:9).
If your struggles involve relationships, we urge you to examine them in the light of Scripture. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God to reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If you are in a dating relationship, we encourage you to pursue courtship with the goal of marriage, ensuring that your partner is a fellow believer who shares your commitment to Christ (2 Corinthians 6:14). Sexual intimacy is a gift from God meant to be enjoyed within the bounds of marriage (Hebrews 13:4). If you are engaging in sexual activity outside of marriage, we lovingly but firmly urge you to repent and flee from sexual immorality, for your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). If you are in a same-sex relationship or struggling with same-sex attraction, we want you to know that God loves you deeply, but He calls us to live in accordance with His design. The Bible is clear that homosexual behavior is sinful (Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10), but it also offers hope and redemption through Jesus Christ. We pray that you would seek the Lord’s strength to walk in purity and holiness, trusting that His ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9).
If your struggles are financial, emotional, physical, or spiritual, we pray that the Lord would provide for your every need according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). If you are feeling isolated or abandoned, remember that God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5). If you are battling depression, anxiety, or despair, we pray that the God of hope would fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13). If you are facing illness or physical pain, we pray for healing, trusting that by His wounds, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Whatever your struggle, we ask that the Lord would give you wisdom and discernment to navigate this season (James 1:5).
We also encourage you to seek godly counsel and community. The Bible tells us that iron sharpens iron, and one person sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17). Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. If you are not already part of a local church, we urge you to find one where the Word of God is preached faithfully and where you can grow in your faith. Do not neglect meeting together with other believers, as some are in the habit of doing, but encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching (Hebrews 10:25).
Above all, we pray that you would fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is our hope, our strength, and our salvation. No matter what you are facing, He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us (Ephesians 3:20). We pray that you would experience His presence in a tangible way and that He would carry you through this storm. May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; may He turn His face toward you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26).
We will continue to pray for you, trusting that the Lord is at work even in the midst of your struggles. If you would like to share more specifics, we are here to listen and lift you up in prayer. You are not alone, and we stand with you in this battle, believing that God will bring beauty from ashes and turn your mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11).
