first I want to thank you Lord for keeping us safe and not having to go by ambulance from this car accident. Please Lord let they’re not be any brain bleeds and I take care of the headache and my daughter is anxiety for causing the accident Lord. My son just had surgery as you know six days in the hospital. I don’t know how much more I can bear or God I just need to focus on your goodness your divine healing power and I’m asking to guide me through the insurance help us to get a new car and you know our needs so I’m just asking for prayer my fellow brothers and sisters pray divine healing immediate healing for myself my daughter and my son. Continue to be with us, Lord of your Holy Spirit upon my family.. I am desperate lord. No, there’s no right way to pray and I normally can pray different but I’m losing trains of thoughts. I’m just asking for a divine healing. I didn’t go to the hospital and I probably should’ve but I was trying to be there for my daughter I have three kids at home. I’m a single parent two Lord, that you know how special needs a meeting with a surgery. There have been no way to be able to go to the hospital I’m a single parent and I have no family to help in their dad is 1000 miles away. The weight you describe is not insignificant, and the pounding in your head is a testimony to the frailty of our mortal frame. Yet, do not be so affected by external things as to get into a state of worry, fretfulness, care, anxiety and distress. What profit has anxiety ever brought? It has never comforted a single soul or filled an empty barrel. The very difficulty unfits you to meet the difficulty, for a mind beset with fear cannot see the path of duty clearly. You are a single parent with no earthly helper near, but the Lord is not a thousand miles away. He is a very present help in trouble.

Let me press upon you the healing leaves of the tree of life. The least thing about Christ is healing. Do you think the Lord’s ear is heavy, that He cannot hear the desperate cry of a mother? When the palsied man was let down through the roof, his first need was not bodily mending but forgiveness, and from that flowed wholeness. Healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction. The headache, the anxiety for your daughter, the son recovering from surgery, all these needs are known to Him who counts the stars and calls them by name. The healing power is conspicuously present when Christ is teaching, and your very prayer, broken and confused as it feels, is a reaching for His hem.

Cast away the superstitious dread that this accident is a pointed punishment. The tower in Siloam fell, and our Lord forbade the thought that those crushed beneath it were sinners above all others. Accidents are not the index of divine wrath; they are part of the groaning of this fallen creation. Yet the King has seen the accident, and He comes forward as a witness to your need, ready to lift you up. He took Peter’s wife’s mother by the hand, and the fever left her at once. That same hand is stretched out now. He is able to heal effectually, and no case has ever overmatched His mighty power.

Only bring your desperate case to Him. You have been preserved thus far, the ambulance did not carry you, and breath remains in your lungs. The stars in their courses have fought for you, though you scarcely perceive it. Lay hold now upon the promise that forgiveness and healing come from the same pardoning hand. Welcome the healing leaves, for they change the very nature of the inward man, and even the body shall feel the restoring touch. The chief anxiety must be to lie at His feet, and from that posture He will raise you up. The desire to minister arises from healing, and when He lifts you, you shall serve your children with fresh strength. Be not faithless but believing, and though the night seems long, the Sun of Righteousness shall rise with healing in His wings.

Your cry of desperation ascends not to deaf ears, but to the God who numbers the hairs of your head. The pounding in your skull and the fear clutching your heart are not hidden from Him. Yet why art thou over-anxious about how the healing will come, when thou canst not comprehend the wind that blows where it listeth? The Spirit moves unseen, and His power is not bound by our understanding or our urgency. Entrust the hourly working of that divine Physician to His wisdom, and do not demand to know the path of the wind.

Consider the Head of the Church, who suffered willingly and bore reproach without the gate, that we might share His sanctification. This present affliction is not a mark of abandonment but an invitation to fellowship with Christ. If we go forth bearing our own small reproaches, we partake of His Blood that has entered the true Holy Place. The headache, the anxiety, the weight of solitary care: these are not meaningless accidents. They may become, if offered with patience, a sacrifice more acceptable than a life of ease. Do not curse your body or your circumstances as the glutton curses his surfeit of meat; your pain is not the fruit of intemperance but a trial permitted by the Lord who makes even the wrath of man to praise Him.

You say you have no strength left to bear more. This is exactly the moment when the eager desire of the soul, though it seems to produce no immediate fruit, works a hidden renewal. I am fully persuaded that a love of crying out to God cannot fail of its effect. How many have heard ten words and remained insensible, then at one hearing, when they were at the very gates of despair, been converted and found strength? The scattered thoughts and the inability to frame a polished prayer are no hindrance. The groanings that cannot be uttered are often more piercing than eloquent words. God looks not at the order of the speech but at the furnace of the heart.

Do not neglect the body in a false pursuit of spiritual heroism. If the pain persists and the head throbs without relief, it is no shame to seek the physician. The saints themselves rise in health and wakefulness, free from headache and turmoil, because they have ordered their lives toward Heaven; but when the body fails, to refuse help out of a desperate attempt to hold everything together is not faith, it is a snare. You are a single parent bearing burdens that would crush a house with many helpers. In this, you must also trust that God can raise up people to stand beside you. The insurance, the car, the hands to assist: these are the outward things the Father knows you need. Cast the care of them upon Him, and do not let tomorrow’s anxiety steal the grace given for today’s trial.

Speak no evil of this hour, not of yourself, not of your daughter’s mistake. The one who returns blessing for calamity draws joy first into her own soul, just as the fountain fills the vessels of those who draw from it without itself growing less. The accident has happened; what you do with it now determines whether it becomes a bitter spring or a channel of mercy. Console your daughter, not with panic, but with the peace that passes understanding, teaching her that reproach can be the cause of sanctification.

Rise up, then, as one of those who live already as lights in a dark world. Though the body aches and the mind reels, let the inner choir sing hymns of gratitude for the safety you have already tasted, for the lives spared, for the hospital discharge of your son. Thanksgiving in the storm is the truest act of power, for it acknowledges the Spirit who blows where He wills. He will either calm the tempest or calm the heart within the tempest: both are healing. Be not over-anxious. He that has ears to hear, let him hear.
