Help us resolve problems in our home and cleanse it

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Dear Lord, we need your help in this situation we let someone stay at our house that has cluttered our home inside and outside we need to cleanse our home inside and outside of bad spirit please help me and ### and give us many blessings in Jesus name amen

We join with you in lifting up this situation, for the Lord’s wisdom and intervention are desperately needed when our homes—and our hearts—are weighed down by disorder, spiritual heaviness, and the consequences of unwise decisions. First, we commend you for recognizing the need to cleanse your home both physically and spiritually, for where there is clutter, confusion often follows, and where there is ungodly influence, darkness can take root. The Scriptures remind us in **2 Corinthians 6:14-17 (WEB)**, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness? What agreement has Christ with Belial? Or what portion has a believer with an unbeliever? What agreement has a temple of God with idols? For you are a temple of the living God. As God said, ‘I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they will be my people. Therefore come out from among them, and be separate,’ says the Lord. ‘Touch no unclean thing. I will receive you. I will be to you a Father. You will be to me sons and daughters,’ says the Lord Almighty."*

Your home is meant to be a sanctuary—a place where God’s peace and order reign, not chaos or ungodly influences. The fact that this person has brought clutter and spiritual heaviness suggests that boundaries were not set in wisdom, and now, repentance and action are required. **Proverbs 24:3-4 (WEB)** tells us, *"Through wisdom a house is built; by understanding it is established; by knowledge its rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches."* But when we allow what is not of God to enter, we invite trouble. **1 Corinthians 15:33 (WEB)** warns, *"Don’t be deceived! ‘Evil companionships corrupt good morals.’"* If this individual is not a believer or is living in a way that contradicts God’s Word, their presence in your home may be a stumbling block. It is time to prayerfully and firmly address this—first in repentance for any lack of discernment, then in action to restore godly order.

As for the spiritual cleansing of your home, we must remember that our authority comes through the blood of Jesus Christ. There is no cleansing apart from Him, and it is *only* in His name that we can command darkness to flee. **Colossians 1:13-14 (WEB)** declares, *"He delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love, in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins."* If you have not already, confess any sin—whether it was naivety, fear of man, or disregard for godly boundaries—and ask the Lord to forgive and restore. Then, take authority in the name of Jesus over every unclean spirit that may have gained a foothold. **James 4:7 (WEB)** commands, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* This is not a passive prayer but an active stand against the enemy’s schemes.

Practically, we urge you to:
1. **Remove the clutter physically**—this is an act of stewardship and obedience. A disordered home can reflect a disordered spirit, and God calls us to excellence, not neglect. **1 Corinthians 14:40 (WEB)** says, *"Let all things be done decently and in order."*
2. **Set godly boundaries**—if this person is still in your home, prayerfully consider whether their stay aligns with God’s will. If not, lovingly but firmly ask them to leave, trusting the Lord to provide for them elsewhere. **Galatians 6:7-8 (WEB)** reminds us, *"Don’t be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life."*
3. **Cleanse the home spiritually**—walk through each room, praying aloud, declaring the blood of Jesus over every corner, and inviting the Holy Spirit to fill the space. Play worship music, read Scripture over your home (such as **Psalm 91**), and anoint the doorposts with oil as a symbolic act of consecration (following **Exodus 12:22-23**).
4. **Fill the home with God’s Word**—place Scripture verses on walls, speak life over your family, and ensure that what enters your home (media, conversations, guests) aligns with **Philippians 4:8 (WEB)**: *"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things."*

Now, let us pray together over this situation:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that apart from You, we can do nothing. Lord, we confess any sin of misplaced trust, fear of man, or neglect of wisdom that led to this situation. Forgive us, cleanse us, and restore us, O God. We repent for allowing what is not of You to take root in our home, and we ask for Your divine intervention to uproot every ungodly influence.

By the authority of Jesus Christ, we break every curse, every assignment of the enemy, and every spiritual stronghold that has sought to bring confusion, heaviness, or defilement into this home. We command all unclean spirits to leave now in Jesus’ name, and we declare that this house belongs to the Lord. Let Your Holy Spirit saturate every room, every corner, every item within these walls. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Father, give this family the strength and wisdom to physically cleanse this home, to remove what does not belong, and to establish boundaries that honor You. If there are those who should not remain under this roof, Lord, make the path clear. Grant them courage to speak the truth in love and trust You to provide for all involved.

We ask for Your blessings to overflow in this home—blessings of unity, of joy, of provision, and of Your presence. Let this be a place where Your name is glorified, where Your Word is honored, and where Your people find rest. Protect this family from further deception, and let Your light shine so brightly that no darkness can remain.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness, for You are a God who delivers, who restores, and who makes all things new. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to remain steadfast in this process. The enemy may resist, but **greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4)**. Stay in prayer, stay in the Word, and do not waver in your obedience. The Lord is with you, and He will see you through. If this person’s presence continues to bring strife, remember that **love does not mean enabling sin or disorder**—sometimes, the most loving thing you can do is set boundaries that point them (and you) toward righteousness. Trust the Lord in this, and He will guide your steps.

Lord, we're right there with you, feeling the weight of this situation. It's tough when our homes, our sanctuaries, are filled with clutter and spiritual heaviness. But we're not alone; we have the power of Jesus' name on our side.

First, let's acknowledge that we might have been too quick to let this person into our home without considering the potential consequences. We need to ask for forgiveness for any lack of discernment or wisdom in this. Then, we need to act. It's time to clean house, both physically and spiritually.

Physically, let's roll up our sleeves and get rid of the clutter. A clean home is a reflection of a clean heart, and God calls us to excellence, not neglect. Let's make sure our home is a place of order and peace.

Spiritually, let's take authority in Jesus' name. We need to confess any sin, whether it's naivety, fear of man, or disregard for godly boundaries. Then, we need to stand against the enemy's schemes. That means casting out any unclean spirits that might have taken root in our home.

Practically, let's set godly boundaries. If this person is still in your home, we need to ask ourselves if their presence aligns with God's will. If not, we need to lovingly but firmly ask them to leave, trusting the Lord to provide for them elsewhere.

Let's also cleanse our home spiritually. Walk through each room, praying aloud, declaring the blood of Jesus over every corner, and inviting the Holy Spirit to fill the space. Play worship music, read Scripture over your home, and anoint the doorposts with oil as a symbolic act of consecration.

Finally, let's fill our home with God's Word. Let's place Scripture verses on the walls, speak life over our family, and ensure that what enters our home aligns with Philippians 4:8.

Now, let's pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that apart from You, we can do nothing. Lord, we confess any sin of misplaced trust, fear of man, or neglect of wisdom that led to this situation. Forgive us, cleanse us, and restore us, O God. Let's stay steadfast in this process, friends. The enemy may resist, but remember, greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting your home and family before the Lord in prayer these past few days. It has been our privilege to stand with you in asking God to bring restoration, order, and spiritual cleansing to your living space—a place that should be a sanctuary of peace and a reflection of His presence. We know how deeply the weight of an unwelcome situation can press upon a household, and we’ve been earnestly praying for the Lord’s intervention to remove what does not belong, both physically and spiritually, and to replace it with His harmony and blessing.

If the Lord has already begun to move in this situation—whether through conviction, resolution, or a renewed sense of peace in your home—we would love for you to share a praise report with us. There is nothing more encouraging than hearing how God answers the cries of His children, and your testimony could be a powerful reminder to others that He is faithful to act on our behalf.

If the struggle still feels heavy and the resolution hasn’t yet come, we urge you not to lose heart. Sometimes the Lord works in ways we don’t immediately see, preparing hearts and circumstances behind the scenes. Please don’t hesitate to post an update or a new request so we can continue to contend for your home in prayer, asking the Lord to break every stronghold and fill every corner with His light. We are here to walk with you in this, believing that God is able to do far more than we can ask or imagine.

May the Prince of Peace Himself guard your home and your hearts as you seek Him. May He grant you wisdom, strength, and discernment for each step forward, and may you feel His presence tangibly as you trust in Him. We are standing with you, confident that He who began this good work in your situation will bring it to completion.

We continue to pray in Jesus’ name.
