Help to take care of myself at ### years old

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I need financial help & opportunities to move forward. I have been working hard despite osteoporosis & other disabilities. My husband lies so much & nothing happens. I want to be of a help to myself & others. I could elaborate how bad it is & abusive, demeaning plus all his secrets but I will not go into more details. God knows.. God is able to fix this. Please pray. Thank you God bless you.

Sorry, this is happening. I pray that your husbands heart is softened. I pray that he surrenders himself to Christ, in Jesus name, amen!

We join with you in prayer and we thank you for sharing your heart with us, even as you have held back details that are painful to speak of. God indeed knows and sees all that you are carrying at ### years old, the burden of osteoporosis and other disabilities, the hard work you have continued to do, the financial need and the desire for opportunities to move forward and to be a help to yourself and to others. That desire to be diligent and to help others is good and honors God.

We want to lift up your physical needs before the Lord, for He is our provider and our strength. We pray that He will open doors for honest work and provision that fits your abilities and that He will sustain your body. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. We also remember that He gives power to the weak and increases strength where there is no might Isaiah 40:29, and that His grace is sufficient for us, for power is made perfect in weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9. We have seen your faithfulness to keep working despite your health, and we pray God will honor that diligence and bring opportunities that allow you to care for yourself with dignity, for if anyone will not work, neither let him eat 2 Thessalonians 3:10, and you have shown a willing heart to work.

We also hear your pain concerning your husband. We must speak plainly that lying, demeaning speech, abusive behavior and keeping secrets are sin and do not align with God's design for marriage. Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight Proverbs 12:22, and we are called to speak truth each one with his neighbor Ephesians 4:25. For husbands, the command is clear, Husbands, love your wives, and do not be bitter against them Colossians 3:19, and Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it Ephesians 5:25. Marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman meant to reflect Christ's love, and abuse and deceit break that reflection and wound the heart. We rebuke that sin in Jesus' name and we pray your husband will be convicted, repent, and turn to truth and gentleness. We encourage you to seek wise, godly counsel and safety, to share your situation with a trusted pastor or mature Christian counselor and with safe family or community resources who can help you assess your safety and next steps, for God is near to those who are brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18.

We notice your request speaks of God and asks for prayer, but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is in His name that we pray with confidence that God hears us and is able to fix what feels impossible.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ for our sister. You see her age, her body weakened by osteoporosis and disabilities, yet her willing hands that have labored hard. Lord, provide for her financial needs, open doors of opportunity where she can support herself and be a blessing to others, and give her wisdom and favor as she seeks to move forward. Strengthen her body and her spirit, and let her feel Your nearness each day. Lord, we bring her marriage before You, You see the lies, the demeaning words, the abusive actions and the hidden things. We ask You to convict her husband of sin, to bring him to repentance and to transform his heart to speak truth and to love as Christ loves. Protect our sister, surround her with safe and godly counsel, and give her discernment and peace as she seeks help. Heal what is wounded and restore what is broken according to Your will, for with You all things are possible. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our salvation, amen.

We encourage you to continue to cast your burden on the Lord, to remain in prayer and in the Word, and to reach out for practical help through your local church and trusted believers who can walk with you. God knows, God cares, and God is able, and we continue to stand with you.

If you are in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services right now. For free, confidential support, you can find a helpline in your country at findahelpline.com, which covers about 130 countries. You are not alone and trained people are ready to help right now.

We read your note and hear the weight you are carrying. Wanting to care for yourself well at this stage of life, to keep working hard despite osteoporosis and other disabilities, and to have real opportunities to move forward and help others, those are good and dignified desires. It also hurts to live with constant lying and demeaning treatment, and we are so sorry you are facing that. You do not have to carry this alone, and God does see what you have not detailed.

When things feel abusive and overwhelming at home, it can help to have one or two safe people who know what is happening. If you have a trusted pastor, counselor, or family member or friend, consider letting them know and talking through a simple plan for your safety and next steps. For the financial pressure, many churches and community agencies can connect you with someone for practical budgeting and employment guidance, which may open a next door. Please also stay close to your medical provider for ongoing care for your health needs as we continue to pray for you.

Father, we bring our sister to You in Jesus name. Surround her with safety and wisdom, provide for her daily needs and open doors for meaningful work, strengthen her body and bring healing, and lead her to caring help close by. Give her peace as she trusts You day by day. Amen.

There is One who has heard your cry even before it reached our ears, for the Lord knows all your sorrows and sees all your secret tears. We have brought your burden before the throne of grace with great tenderness, thanking God that you have continued to labor faithfully despite the pain of osteoporosis and other infirmities of the body. The Lord who formed your frame knows its weakness, and He pities as a Father pities His children.

You have spoken plainly of a heavy affliction within your own home, of untruthfulness and words that demean and wound. Such things are grievous to the Lord, for marriage as God ordained it is cemented by mutual love, where husband and wife become one flesh, reflecting in some small measure the love of Christ for His Church. As we have often preached, that heavenly marriage is the marriage of the Lamb, where Christ proved His love by His wounds and blood. When a marriage on earth is marked instead by deceit and harshness, it departs far from the Divine idea, and the Lord is grieved by every unkind and unloving deed.

Yet be assured that you are not forgotten. The same Saviour who is the Bridegroom of His people draws near to the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. In Him alone is salvation and in Him alone is our fullness. He will supply all your need according to His riches in glory, and He is able to open doors of provision and opportunity where now there seems to be no way. Commit your desire to be of help to yourself and to others into His hands, for He loves to use even the weakest instrument for His glory.

We urge you, while you wait upon the Lord, to seek wise and godly counsel close at hand. Make your situation known to a faithful pastor or to mature and trusted believers in a true church who can walk with you, give you sound counsel from the Word, pray with you continually, and help you to be safe. If you are in danger, seek help without delay from those whom God has placed for your protection. Neglect not also the care of your body, which is the temple of the Holy Ghost, seeking such medical help and practical support as the Lord provides.

Let us pray for you now.

O Gracious Father, look in mercy upon Thy servant who is weary and afflicted. Thou knowest her years, her pains, her labors, and the trials of her home which cannot be hidden from Thine eyes. Have compassion upon her infirmities and lay Thy healing hand upon her, and grant her daily strength for daily duties. In Thy providence open before her honest opportunities to provide for her needs, and give her wisdom and favor in all faithful endeavors. Let Thy presence be her comfort and Thy Word her guide.

We pray also for her husband, that Thou wouldst convict him of all falsehood and unkindness, and bring him to repentance and to newness of life through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Let Thy Spirit work in that home to bring truth where there have been lies, and tenderness where there has been harshness. Above all, cause both hearts to be drawn to the marriage of the Lamb, that being betrothed to Christ by faith, they may know His forgiving and cleansing love.

Keep Thy servant in perfect peace as her mind is stayed on Thee, and make her to be a blessing to others even as she has desired. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our only hope and our fullness. Amen.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, may He make His face to shine upon you and give you rest in His unfailing love.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
