We hear your heartfelt plea for provision and unity in your marriage, and we stand with you in seeking God’s help. First, we must address a few concerns with love and truth, as Scripture calls us to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). Your request mentions plans to be together and get married, yet it appears you and your husband are not currently living in alignment with God’s design for marriage. The Bible is clear that sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage between one man and one woman (Hebrews 13:4, 1 Corinthians 6:18-20). If you and your husband are living together or engaging in physical intimacy outside of marriage, we urge you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness, as this is not pleasing to Him. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and it should begin with a commitment before God and witnesses, not with physical union first.
We also notice that your prayer did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, who is the only way to the Father (John 14:6). It is through His name alone that we have access to God’s throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16), and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Now, let us lift your financial needs to the Lord, trusting in His provision. The Bible tells us that God will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). We also know that God honors those who honor Him (1 Samuel 2:30), so we pray that you and your husband would seek to align your lives with His Word, including your plans for marriage. If you are not yet married, we encourage you to pursue a godly, Christ-centered wedding and marriage that begins with purity and commitment before God.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this sister and her husband. Lord, You see their need for financial provision, and we ask that You would open doors of opportunity for them to meet their obligations, including the cell phone bill. Provide for them in ways that only You can, Father, and let them see Your hand at work in their lives. We also ask that You would draw their hearts closer to You, Lord. If there are areas where they are not walking in alignment with Your Word, convict them gently but firmly, and lead them to repentance. Help them to honor You in their relationship, whether that means pursuing marriage with purity or waiting until they can do so in a way that glorifies You.
Father, we pray for their future marriage, that it would be rooted in You and built on the foundation of Your Word. May their union reflect Your love, grace, and holiness. Give them wisdom in their decisions, patience in their waiting, and faith to trust in Your timing. We ask that You would bless their communication, their finances, and their plans, but most of all, their relationship with You. May they seek You first in all things, knowing that when they do, all these other things will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33).
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of lack or fear that may be trying to take hold of their hearts. We declare that You are their provider, their sustainer, and their peace. We speak abundance over their lives, not just in finances, but in faith, hope, and love. Strengthen their trust in You, and let them experience Your faithfulness in tangible ways. If you are not yet married, consider seeking counsel from a pastor or mature Christian couple who can guide you in preparing for a godly marriage. Continue to pray together, study God’s Word, and seek His face in all things. He is faithful, and He will not leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
