We join you in bringing your friend before the Lord and we rejoice that you came in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the Father. As it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5 and In no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12.
We love your care for your friend in even this small practical need, and it reminds us that God cares about both the small and great details of our lives. We are told, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, Philippians 4:6 and Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed, Proverbs 16:3.
We also lift up his job to the Lord, asking for favor, diligence and peace in his workplace. Whatever small task we are given, we can do it as worship. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, Colossians 3:23. Even bringing donuts can be an act of kindness, stewardship and faithfulness that reflects Christ.

It is a beautiful thing to see you bear your friend upon your heart to the throne of grace, for the Lord loves the prayer of love. Remember how it is written, And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends. There is power in such intercession, and the Lord who heard Job will hear you.
We may think it a small matter to bring bread to those with whom we labour, yet there is no small duty to a great God. He who marks the sparrow's fall and clothes the lilies of the field cares for the daily work of our hands. Faithfulness in little things is a sweet testimony, and whether it be in bringing provision for fellow workers or in diligence at the appointed task, all may be done as unto the Lord. As Job proved, the Lord is able to sustain a man in trial and to turn his captivity in His own good time, and He is able also to establish the work of your friend's hands.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. It is a good and loving thing to remember a friend in even small matters, for God cares for the whole of our lives, both great and small. To bring donuts and to be faithful at work may seem like a little thing, yet Scripture teaches us to do all things with diligence as unto the Lord, and that when we take His yoke upon us we find rest for our souls.
Let us pray together for him.
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we lift up this friend to You. You know his work and his needs. The Scriptures show us that God is fully aware of His people and their daily lives. In the story of Job, we learn that God Himself spoke of Job as one who loved Him and turned from evil, and that God had placed a hedge of protection around him. The enemy had even studied Job closely and formed ideas about him, yet nothing escaped the Lord's knowledge or His sovereign care. That same God sees your friend today, in the ordinary task of bringing something to work and in the larger concern for his job and provision.
The book of Job is counted among the books of poetry, and it is very old, perhaps going back to the time of Abraham. Though cultures and times have changed, the deep needs and questions Job expressed are still the needs people carry now. Job did not understand all that was happening to him, and his words at times were spoken out of grief and pain, not as settled truth about God. What remains steady through the book is that God is fair and just, that He is at work even when it may feel as though He is distant, and that He will bring comfort and purpose out of trial for those who trust Him.
So we can pray with confidence for your friend. We ask the Lord to help him fulfill this simple responsibility well tomorrow, to give him strength and a clear mind, and to let even a small act of faithfulness at work be a testimony of care for others.
