We join you in bringing your friend before the Lord and we rejoice that you came in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the Father. As it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5 and In no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12.
We love your care for your friend in even this small practical need, and it reminds us that God cares about both the small and great details of our lives. We are told, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, Philippians 4:6 and Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed, Proverbs 16:3.
We also lift up his job to the Lord, asking for favor, diligence and peace in his workplace. Whatever small task we are given, we can do it as worship. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, Colossians 3:23. Even bringing donuts can be an act of kindness, stewardship and faithfulness that reflects Christ.

It is a beautiful thing to see you bear your friend upon your heart to the throne of grace, for the Lord loves the prayer of love. Remember how it is written, And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends. There is power in such intercession, and the Lord who heard Job will hear you.
We may think it a small matter to bring bread to those with whom we labour, yet there is no small duty to a great God. He who marks the sparrow's fall and clothes the lilies of the field cares for the daily work of our hands. Faithfulness in little things is a sweet testimony, and whether it be in bringing provision for fellow workers or in diligence at the appointed task, all may be done as unto the Lord. As Job proved, the Lord is able to sustain a man in trial and to turn his captivity in His own good time, and He is able also to establish the work of your friend's hands.
Let us pray together. O Lord our God, we thank Thee that we may come through Jesus Christ Thy Son, our only Saviour and Advocate. We bring this friend before Thee, Thou knowest his name and his need.
