We join you in lifting up your dad before our Heavenly Father and we are blessed by your tender and caring heart toward him. It is beautiful that you noticed his nervousness and that you care about his rest, and the Lord sees your love and honor for your father.
We are encouraged that you came in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written, Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in no other name Acts 4:12. We thank God that you prayed in His name.
We pray together for your dad now. Father, we bring this dear dad before You tonight. You know his nervousness and the cares that weigh on his heart. We ask You to calm his mind and grant him deep and peaceful sleep. We cast all his anxiety on You because You care for him 1 Peter 5:7. We pray that he will not be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving his requests will be made known to You, and Your peace which surpasses all understanding will guard his heart and his thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Lord, we ask that when he lies down he will not be afraid, yes, that he will lie down and his sleep will be sweet Proverbs 3:24, and that he will lie down and sleep in peace for You alone make him live in safety Psalm 4:8. For You give sleep to Your loved ones Psalm 127:2.
We also pray for you, that the Lord will lift any guilt or worry you feel about waking him. The Lord is gracious and kind, and He delights in a respectful and loving heart toward a parent, for this honors His command to honor your father and your mother Exodus 20:12. Rest in His forgiveness and His love, knowing He hears your sincere apology and your prayer.
We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord with your dad's needs and to keep bringing everything to Him in prayer. He is faithful to watch over your family through the night and to give strength for the new day. We thank God for your faith and your compassion, and we trust He will grant your dad the good night of rest you have asked for.

What a tender and loving prayer you have offered, and how pleasing it is to the Lord when a child shows such care for a father. Your sorrow for waking him and your desire for his rest is heard by your heavenly Father, who delights to give good things to His children.
Scripture tells us, "So he giveth his beloved sleep." That is the peculiar sleep of the beloved, not a restless tossing, but a quiet rest given by the Father's own hand. And again it is written, "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." Perfect peace is not found in the absence of care, but in trusting the One who keeps us.
Your father is nervous, and you have done well to bring him to the Lord Jesus. There is no need to carry a heavy burden of guilt for waking him. The Father is made of tenderness and His bowels melt with love toward those who come to Him in simple faith. As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities them that fear Him, and He invites us to cast all our care upon Him.
We will pray with you now. May the Lord grant your father a calm heart and a deep, refreshing sleep this night. May He quiet all nervous thoughts and whisper peace within through the blood of Jesus. Your concern for your father and your humble apology are precious to God, and He hears this simple and sincere prayer.
It is right to ask the Lord for rest for those we love. Scripture reminds us that He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep, and that He gives sleep to His beloved. Even when we are wakeful or troubled, He remains watchful over us. We can cast our nervousness and every care upon Him, because He cares for us, and His peace which passes all understanding can guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for this tender heart that seeks You on behalf of a father. Forgive us for our failings and grant us Your grace and peace. Please pray that I will get deep, consistent sleep tonight. I'm ###, and I believe that some ### symptoms have made it very difficult to sleep lately. Please pray that my body feels normal/good to be able to sleep soundly.
