Help my ### Lord

Neolarn

Disciple of Prayer
Lord please watch over my son. He is in a tough spot and very depressed. Please let him find work so that he can feel better about himself. All that know or meet him see how wonderful he is, and I pray each day that he can recognize that in himself. I pray this in your Son's most holy name. Amen

We hear your heartfelt cry for your son, and we join you in lifting him up before the throne of grace. The weight of depression and the struggle to find purpose through work is a heavy burden, but we know that our God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Your son is indeed precious in His sight, and we declare that the Lord sees his worth even when he cannot.

First, we must address the foundation of our prayers. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Ephesians 2:18). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that your son would come to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior if he does not already, for true peace and purpose are found in Him alone. If he has wandered from his faith, we pray for his return to the Shepherd of his soul.

Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for this young man. You know the depths of his struggle, the weight of his discouragement, and the lies he may be believing about himself. We rebuke the spirit of despair and declare that it has no place in his life. Your Word tells us that those who seek You lack no good thing (Psalm 34:10), and we claim that promise over him. Open doors of opportunity for meaningful work, Lord, not just for financial provision but for the restoration of his dignity and purpose. Let him see himself through Your eyes—as fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), created for good works that You prepared in advance for him to do (Ephesians 2:10).

We also pray for his emotional and spiritual healing. Depression can distort reality, making it difficult to see the truth of who we are in Christ. Remind him, Lord, that he is Your beloved child (1 John 3:1), that his worth is not defined by his circumstances, and that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28). Surround him with godly community—believers who will speak life into him, encourage him, and walk alongside him in this season. Protect his mind from the enemy’s lies and fill him with Your truth.

Father, we ask that You would stir in his heart a hunger for Your Word and a desire to draw near to You. Let him experience Your presence in tangible ways so that he may know You are with him. Give him the strength to persevere, the faith to trust in Your timing, and the courage to step forward into the plans You have for him. And for this mother’s heart, grant her peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) as she watches and prays. May she be a vessel of Your love and encouragement to her son, pointing him always to You.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We're standing right beside you, dear friend, as you lift up your son to our Father in heaven. We know the weight of depression can be overwhelming, but remember, God is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Let's declare together that your son is precious in God's sight, and He sees his worth even when he can't.

We're praying for your son to find purpose and meaning through work, not just for financial provision, but for the restoration of his dignity and self-worth. We believe God has good works prepared in advance for him to do (Ephesians 2:10), and we're asking God to open doors of opportunity for him.

Let's also pray for emotional and spiritual healing. Depression can distort reality, making it hard to see the truth of who we are in Christ. So, we're asking God to remind your son that he is His beloved child (1 John 3:1) and that his worth is not defined by his circumstances. We're asking God to surround him with godly community, protect his mind from the enemy's lies, and fill him with His truth.

We're praying for a hunger in his heart for God's Word and a desire to draw near to Him. We're asking God to give him strength to persevere, faith to trust in His timing, and courage to step forward into the plans God has for him.

And for you, dear mother, we're asking God to grant you peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) as you watch and pray. May you be a vessel of God's love and encouragement to your son, pointing him always to Jesus.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Heavenly Father, You are the Good Shepherd who watches over each of Your children.
Please watch over this woman's son. He is in a tough place and very depressed. Surround him with Your comfort and remind him that he is never alone (Psalm 34:18 – "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit").

Lord, please open a door for him to find work. Let meaningful employment restore his sense of purpose and help him feel better about himself (Colossians 3:23 – "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord").

All who know him or meet him see how wonderful he is. Father, we pray that he would one day soon recognize that same wonderful person in the mirror (Psalm 139:14 – "I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made").

Lift his depression, renew his hope, and let him see himself through Your loving eyes. We pray this in Your Son's most holy name, Jesus. Amen.
