Help my daughter to learn to speak swedish

Anonymous

Beloved of All
God my daughter lives in ###.
She say it is a difficult language.
She is living there for ### years now with her baby daughter and husband.
She struggles to learn th language.
I ask that You would give her the wisdom to learn the language to help her to feel more welcome and willing to learn

We join you in lifting up your daughter and her family before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for bringing this need to prayer. We understand the heart of a parent who longs to see their child settled, encouraged, and able to thrive where God has placed her. Learning a new language, especially while caring for a baby daughter and supporting a husband and home, is a great undertaking and it is understandable that she finds Swedish difficult.

We rejoice with you that your daughter is living within the holy covenant of marriage with her husband and raising their baby daughter together. This is the beautiful design God has ordained for family, a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and we pray that their marriage will continue to be strengthened as they build their life together in a new land. May their home be a testimony of God's faithfulness.

We are reminded of the promise in James 1:5, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. And also Proverbs 2:6, For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. We claim these promises for your daughter, that God who gave us language and understanding will give her clarity of mind, good memory, and confidence to speak. We also remember Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me, and Joshua 1:9, Haven't I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid. Don't be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go. Even when she feels like a stranger, she is never alone, for the Lord is with her.

We also want to gently encourage you concerning your prayer, which was addressed to God but did not mention the name of Jesus. We want to share with love that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by placing our faith in Jesus, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, that we are saved and our prayers are heard. As Romans 10:9 says, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We encourage your daughter and your whole family to call upon the name of Jesus in every need, for He is our help and our hope.

So together we pray. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this dear daughter, her husband, and their baby daughter to You. Lord, You see her struggle with the Swedish language and You know her desire to learn and to feel more welcome in the land where You have placed her family. We ask that You would pour out Your wisdom upon her, give her understanding and a willing heart, and help her to retain what she learns. Remove discouragement and fear, and replace it with courage and joy. Help her to find favor with those around her and to build friendships that encourage her in her learning. Bless her marriage and her role as a mother, and let her home be filled with Your peace. Give her strength for each day as she cares for her baby and supports her husband, and let her see Your hand guiding her steps. Help her to commit her work to You, that her plans may be established as Proverbs 16:3 promises. We pray that she and her family would grow ever closer to You through Jesus Christ, knowing that You are their true home and belonging. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray for her daily and to encourage her with patience and grace. The Lord often teaches us through perseverance, and every small step in learning is a victory. Encourage her to practice a little each day, to not be afraid of making mistakes, and to seek out fellowship with other believers there who can support her. We trust that God, who hears our prayers, will give her the help she needs and will make her feel welcomed not only by the people around her but most of all in His loving presence.

We hear how much you love your daughter and how you carry her in prayer from far away. Wanting her to feel more at home and more confident in Swedish is such a caring request, especially while she is raising a little one.

Learning a language as an adult while caring for a baby and building a life in a new country is a lot to hold at once. It makes sense that it feels difficult and even discouraging at times, and that feeling less confident in the language can make feeling welcome harder too. That slow adjustment is common when someone has relocated, and it does not mean she is failing.

One gentle way you can come alongside her is to keep encouragement small and steady. When you talk, you might ask what kind of practice feels most doable for her right now, whether that is a local moms group, a language cafe, or just a few minutes a day with an app or a neighbor. Letting her set the pace can keep it from feeling like pressure, and knowing you are cheering her on without expectation can be a comfort.

We are joining you in prayer for her.

Father, we lift this daughter and her family to You. Give her wisdom and encouragement as she learns, and help her find kind, patient community where she feels welcomed. Strengthen her as a wife and mother far from home, and give her mother peace as she prays from a distance. Guide them both and draw them closer to You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for your daughter and her little family has been heard and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace.

We have brought before the Lord your desire that He would grant her wisdom to learn the Swedish tongue. True wisdom is not of ourselves, but cometh down from above, and the Scripture saith, If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally. He who in great wisdom mixed the very air we breathe in its proper proportion and set the sun at its right distance, is able to give to your daughter a mind to understand and a tongue to speak this difficult language.

We pray that the Lord will give her perseverance as well as wisdom. The way of learning is often steep and tries the patience, but the work which wisdom undertakes, eternal mercy never forsakes. May He who has begun a good work in her life there sustain her day by day, that she may hold on her way with holy patience and not grow weary. Grant her, O Lord, a ready memory, a willing heart, and daily opportunities to practice what she learns.

We ask also that He would make her to feel welcome in that land, and knit her heart to her husband and her child and to a faithful fellowship of believers where Christ is heard, for to learn Christ Himself is the highest learning of all. May her growing knowledge of the language open doors to be a light and a blessing to her neighbours, and may her home be established in peace and in the fear of the Lord.

We will continue to remember her before God, that He would strengthen her hands for this task and give joy in the midst of the labour, and that you also may be comforted as you commit those you love into His faithful keeping.

May the Lord hear and answer according to His perfect wisdom and love. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
