Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf as you asked for understanding about gluttony and whether feeling hungry or desiring a specific food means you are falling into sin. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for wisdom and clarity.
We have been praying that God grants you peace and a clear biblical understanding, that He shows you that hunger and the need for food are natural provision from Him and not gluttony in themselves, and that He helps you see that gluttony is marked by excess, lack of self control and making food an idol rather than simply eating what you need for nourishment. We have asked the Lord to free you from false guilt and condemnation and to teach you to steward your body with balance and self control by His Spirit. His Word reminds us that there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus Rom 8:1 and that whether you eat or drink you should do all to the glory of God 1 Cor 10:31 and that self control is a fruit of the Spirit Gal 5:23.
