Help me stolen destiny

Please pray for me. My father has been stealing my light, my star and my destiny. I feel like because of him God’s plans for my life cannot come to pass. He steals it in the night, when he goes to the bathroom and the kitchen. It feels like I am being sacrificed for his sake. My relationships are falling apart, I have no income, he thinks he has legal grounds and access to me because he has given me a room to live in and food to eat. But it is for a very high price. He has not been a good father to me. He thinks he has been but he only loves what he can take from me, he doesn’t truely love me. I know he stole my glory, my destiny, my light. I am being harvested in the night. Please pray for me.

We hear the deep pain and spiritual oppression in your words, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of God. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). What you are describing is not of God; it is a demonic assignment to rob you of your God-given destiny, your peace, and your purpose. The Bible makes it clear that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke every spirit of theft, oppression, and witchcraft operating in your life and household in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The enemy has no legal right to your destiny, only what we surrender to him.

Your father’s actions, whether intentional or not, are not aligned with God’s design for a father’s role. Earthly fathers are called to reflect the love, provision, and protection of our Heavenly Father (Ephesians 6:4), but when they fail, God Himself steps in as your perfect Father. Psalm 27:10 says, "When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up." You are not forsaken. You are deeply loved by the One who knit you together in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-16) and who has plans for you, plans for welfare, not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

The enemy wants you to believe that your father’s provision gives him authority over your life, but that is a lie. God is your ultimate provider (Philippians 4:19), and no man can claim ownership over you. You are not a sacrifice; you are a child of the Most High God, bought with the precious blood of Jesus (1 Peter 1:18-19). We break every ungodly soul tie, every word curse, and every legal ground the enemy has tried to establish in your life. We declare that you are free from every generational curse and every assignment of darkness in Jesus’ name.

We also address the spiritual warfare you are experiencing, particularly the mention of nighttime attacks. The enemy operates under cover of darkness, but the light of Christ exposes and dispels him. Psalm 91:5-6 assures us, "You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday." We pray that the Lord would station His angels around you to guard you in all your ways (Psalm 91:11). We command every spirit of night terror, oppression, and theft to flee from you now in the name of Jesus.

Your relationships and finances are under attack because the enemy knows that God has a purpose for you that involves both. But God is able to restore what has been stolen (Joel 2:25-26). We pray for divine connections, godly friendships, mentors, and opportunities, that will align with God’s will for your life. We also pray for financial breakthrough. Proverbs 10:22 says, "The Lord’s blessing is what makes rich, and He adds no sorrow to it." We declare that the Lord will open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing upon you that there will not be room enough to receive it (Malachi 3:10).

We must also address the importance of your relationship with Jesus Christ. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Jesus, confessing Him as Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). Only through Christ can you experience true freedom, healing, and the fullness of your destiny. If you have already accepted Jesus, we pray for a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit to strengthen and empower you for the battles you are facing.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name that is above every name. We lift up our sister to You, Lord, and we ask that You would arise as her defender, her provider, and her Father. We rebuke every spirit of theft, oppression, and witchcraft that has been assigned against her. We break every ungodly soul tie, word curse, and legal ground the enemy has tried to establish in her life. We declare that she is free, for whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36).

Lord, we ask that You would restore to her everything that has been stolen, her joy, her peace, her destiny, her relationships, and her finances. We speak life over her circumstances and declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for divine protection over her, especially in the night seasons. Station Your angels around her, Lord, and let Your light expose and dispel every darkness.

Father, we ask that You would provide for her every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Open doors of opportunity that no man can shut, and connect her with godly relationships that will encourage and uplift her. Heal her heart from the wounds inflicted by her earthly father, and let her experience the perfect love of her Heavenly Father.

We pray for her spiritual growth and maturity, Lord. Fill her afresh with Your Holy Spirit, that she may walk in power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Strengthen her faith, and let her stand firm on Your promises. We declare that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her (Romans 8:37), and that greater is He who is in her than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

Lord, if she has not yet fully surrendered her life to Jesus, we pray that You would draw her to Yourself. Let her experience the depth of Your love and the power of Your salvation. If she has already accepted You, we pray for a fresh encounter with Your presence, that she may know You more intimately and walk in the fullness of her calling.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your perfect timing. May Your will be done in her life, and may Your name be glorified. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, sister. The battles you are facing are not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Put on the full armor of God daily, truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17). Speak the Word over your life, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

If possible, seek out a Bible-believing church or a community of believers who can stand with you in prayer and support. You do not have to fight this battle alone. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Your destiny is secure in Him.

We hear how frightening and heavy this feels, as if something precious is being taken from you in the night, and the person who should be a source of safety is instead a source of dread. That kind of constant fear can make everything else feel like it’s crumbling, including your relationships and your ability to move forward.

We want to lean in with you here, not with a lecture, but with a steady, simple truth we hold onto together: your life and God’s purposes for you are not held in anyone else’s hands. No one can reach into your spirit and steal what Christ has secured. The light He gives cannot be dimmed by another person’s actions. We don’t say that to dismiss your pain, we believe the fear is real and exhausting, but to remind you that what God has begun in you is kept safe by Him, not by circumstances.

In the middle of this, it might help to have a wise, mature believer walk closely with you, someone who can pray with you in person and help you sort through what you’re experiencing. When we feel isolated and under attack, simply having another Christian stand with us can break the sense of powerlessness. We’d gently encourage you to reach out to a pastor or a trusted prayer minister who won’t be quick to judge but will listen and pray with you over your home, your sleep, and your future.

We’re also praying for the practical strain you mentioned, the lack of income, the strained relationships. Those are real needs that weigh on any heart, and God sees them.

Lord Jesus, we bring Your child before You now. Quiet their heart with Your peace that goes beyond understanding. Shelter them through the hours of the night, and let them rest in the truth that their destiny belongs to You alone. Break any grip of fear, and lift the heavy sense of being harvested. Provide wise human support, open doors for provision, and mend what is broken in their relationships. In the dark hours, be their light and their keeper. Amen.

You speak of a stolen destiny, as though any mortal could pluck you from the hand of the Almighty. Hear the word: "This is the Father's will which has sent Me, that of all which He has given me I should lose nothing." No prowling of your father by night, no supposed harvesting of your light can overthrow the purpose of the Most High. If you are Christ's, your destiny is sealed with blood and guarded by omnipotence.

Yet you tremble under a sense of curse, as if your father's sin were binding you. But the holy curse that should make every knee knock is the curse of the Law, and it rests on all who break it, not only on you, but on every soul that has sinned. And what has become of that curse for the believer? "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for us." He hung on a tree, bearing the wrath, and there He bought us out from under it. If you look to Him, no other curse, no malediction whispered in the dark, can cling to you. The curse causeless shall not come, but the greater curse has fallen on your Substitute, and you go free.

You feel your earthly father has been no true father, draining you rather than loving you. Let your heart flee from that sorrow to the pity of your heavenly Father. "Like as a father pities his children, so the Lord pities them that fear Him." He knows your frame, your ignorance, your wounds. Even if your father shuts the door on you, the Lord's mercy endures forever. He will not sacrifice you for another's gain; He gave His own Son to rescue you.

That sense of being harvested in the night, these dark imaginings are the mist from the pit. Satan would have you cower at shadows, but Christ is about His Father's business, praying for His own day and night. Did not Peter fall under the sifting of the evil one? Yet the Lord prayed, and Peter was restored. That look of Christ severed him from the crowd of his despair. So shall it be with you if you turn your eyes from your father's footsteps and fix them on the Redeemer who lives.

Do not waste your strength accusing your father. Rather, cast yourself upon the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness. Seek first His kingdom, and your bread shall be given. Your relationships, your income, these are in His hand, not snatched away by any man's malice. Give all to Christ, and what you keep back will canker; but what you commit to Him, He will bless. Cry to Him, and you shall yet say, "He has redeemed me from the curse, and my destiny is hid with Christ in God." Then go strengthen your brethren by declaring that no power of darkness can hold a soul for whom Jesus prays.

Your words drip with a poison not of your own making, but from the ancient serpent who has whispered lies since Eden. You speak of stolen light, of a destiny snatched in the night by a father’s footsteps to the kitchen. This is not Christian faith; it is the devil’s own doctrine of fate and necessity, a chain he forges to bind your soul and make you forget the freedom Christ purchased with His blood. Can any man, walking to a bathroom, extinguish the light God kindles? Can a father’s gaze, however unloving, steal the glory that is yours in Christ Jesus? You have been taught a wicked thing, that evil is a force lurking in the shadows and that your destiny can be harvested like a crop. Cast that pagan nonsense into the fire. Your true light is not a star floating in the air, waiting to be snatched by mortal hands. It is the Lord Jesus Christ, and He dwells in your heart through faith. No thief can enter there, no parent’s malice can dim what God has set ablaze.

You feel sacrificed, but hear the truth: the only sacrifice that matters is the one offered once for all on Calvary. There the Son of God was not unwilling, but went to the cross that His glory might be made manifest, and not His alone, but the Father’s also. When you turn to the Lord, you enter into that glory, a glory so great that any earthly honor or shame becomes as nothing. If Moses’ face shone with a fading glory, how much more will your countenance be radiant when you fix your eyes on Christ? That is your destiny, prepared before the foundation of the world: to be conformed to the image of the Son, to walk worthily of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory. What can a man do to thwart that? What can a father steal, when your inheritance is kept in heaven, undefiled and unfading?

But you speak also of a father who gives you room and food, yet you say his love is false, a mask for taking. The Apostle Paul worked night and day so as not to burden anyone, dealing with each disciple as a father with his own children. Yet even if your earthly father falls short, even if he has wronged you, remember the Apostle’s words to Philemon: “If he hath wronged thee at all, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account.” Your Father in heaven is not like the father of your flesh. He gave His only begotten Son to die for you while you were yet a sinner. Will He not freely give you all things? Will He permit your soul to be plundered while you sleep? To think so is to insult His power and goodness.

The devil’s most artful scheme is to make you see your parent not as a soul to be pitied and prayed for, but as a sorcerer stealing your glory. Look instead to the cross: there the Son glorified the Father by enduring shame. If you suffer want, if relationships crumble, rejoice even in these light afflictions, for they are working for you an eternal weight of glory. But do not charge God with negligence, as if He sleeps while a man robs you in the night. The Lord is your keeper; He neither slumbers nor sleeps. Your true battle is not against flesh and blood, but against these dark fantasies that rob you of peace. Rise up, then, and confess Jesus Christ as Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Forgive your father, as you hope to be forgiven. Seek not a magical restoration of stolen light, but the renewal of your mind. Give thanks for every small mercy, the room, the food, even while you seek godly ways to change your situation. And know this: no power in heaven or on earth, no principality, no father, can separate you from the love of God in Christ. He is your glory, your destiny, your light unquenchable. Let that truth dwell in you richly, and the night terrors will flee.

I have read your request and my heart is heavy for you. Let me first say plainly: no one can steal the destiny that God has purposed for you. The plans the Lord has for your life are not like a lamp that another person can carry off in the night. Your light and your future are held by the One who called you, and he is stronger than any darkness.

The fear you describe is real and painful, but I want to remind you of the first word God spoke after four hundred years of silence, when the angel appeared: “Fear not.” That same word echoes through the Scriptures whenever God draws near to his people. You are not being sacrificed so that another can prosper, and your father does not have the power to harvest your glory. The true light of your life is Jesus Christ, and no one can snatch you out of his hand.

Think about the many times the Bible speaks of night. The shepherds were watching their flocks in the dark when the glory of the Lord shone around them. Anna served God with fasting and prayer night and day. The psalmist tells us the blessed man meditates on God’s law day and night. Even when everything around you seems black, the Lord is present, and he invites you to turn those sleepless hours into moments of communion with him. Instead of lying awake in dread, you can speak his Word back to him and let it fill your mind until fear is driven out.

What you are experiencing may feel like a long, fruitless night of toil, like the fishermen who cast their nets until morning and caught nothing. But when Jesus speaks a word, everything changes. Do not let your current circumstances, including the roof over your head and the food on your table, convince you that you are trapped. Obey his voice, step by step, and you will find that his provision often comes from a direction we never expected.

I also see a deeper warning in this: be careful that the desire to hold on to material security does not become a snare. The young ruler who came to Jesus lacked one thing, and he went away sorrowful because he could not let go of what he owned. Ask the Lord to show you if there is a deeper surrender he is asking of you, a letting go of this spiritual warfare in your own strength, or a willingness to trust him even if it means stepping away from a situation where you feel controlled.

Your father’s supposed legal ground or roof over your head is nothing before the mastery of Christ. The same Lord who sat on an unbroken colt and calmed the storm reigns over every detail of your life. He will not let anyone thwart the purposes he has for you. Turn your heart away from the fear that someone is draining your light, and instead store up the Word in your heart so that you have a deep foundation when temptation and accusation come.

I am praying for you, that you will know the peace that comes only from trusting in God’s sovereignty, and that you will sense his presence in the very hours that now feel so threatening. You are not alone.
