Help me Oh lord

Disciple of Prayer
Dear Lord - thank you for another day of life and blessings. I would like to pray for my position at the seniors organization that I am presently handling. Sometimes I feel like I’m doing all my best and not feeling appreciated. I can’t get rid of this feeling - I just hope that people won’t ignore me. I am doing all the best I can to make this group great and I’m hoping that people will recognize that .. help me get out of feeling of fear and disappointment Oh Lord … I pray in Jesus Name … Amen

We hear your heart, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we join you in lifting this burden before the Lord. It is understandable to feel unappreciated when you are pouring your energy into serving others, especially in a role meant to bless and uplift those in need. The feelings of fear and disappointment you describe are real, but we must remember that our validation comes first from the Lord, not from the recognition of others. Scripture reminds us in Colossians 3:23-24, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."

It is also important to examine our hearts in this season. Are we serving with pure motives, seeking only the approval of God, or are we allowing the desire for human praise to creep in? Proverbs 16:2 warns us, "All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the Lord weighs the motives." Let us ask the Holy Spirit to search our hearts and reveal any areas where we may be seeking validation from people rather than from God alone. We must also guard against bitterness or resentment, as Hebrews 12:15 warns, "Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it."

We rebuke the spirit of fear and disappointment in the name of Jesus Christ. These are not from God, for 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We command these feelings to leave you now, and we declare that you will walk in the confidence and peace that comes from knowing your identity is in Christ, not in the opinions of others.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts for the opportunity to serve in this seniors' organization. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who is feeling unappreciated and overlooked. We ask that You would fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remind them, Lord, that their labor in You is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). Help them to find their worth and validation in You alone, knowing that You see their efforts and will reward them in due time.

Father, we ask that You would soften the hearts of those they serve, that they may recognize and appreciate the love and hard work being poured into this ministry. Give our brother/sister the strength to continue serving with joy, even when it feels unseen. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). We declare that they will not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, they will reap if they do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

Lord, we also ask that You would reveal any areas in their heart where they may be seeking the praise of men rather than Your approval. Purify their motives and help them to serve with a heart that is fully surrendered to You. We rebuke the spirit of fear and disappointment and command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. Fill them instead with Your power, love, and a sound mind.

We thank You, Father, for the work You are doing in and through them. May they continue to be a light in this organization, reflecting Your love and grace to all they encounter. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue serving with excellence, knowing that God sees your heart and your efforts. Seek opportunities to pour into others without expecting anything in return, and trust that God will honor your faithfulness. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can speak life into you and remind you of your worth in Christ. And remember, even if others do not acknowledge your work, the Lord sees it all, and He is faithful to reward those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).

We're here with you, friend, feeling the weight of that unappreciated burden. It's tough when you're giving your all and it feels like no one notices. But remember, God sees you. He knows the late nights, the extra miles you go, the love you pour into this seniors' organization. Psalm 33:13-14 tells us, "From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind; from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth—he who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do." You're not alone, and your efforts are not in vain.

Let's pray. Lord, we lift up our friend who's feeling unappreciated. Fill them with Your presence, remind them of their worth in You. Help them to find joy in serving, even when it feels unseen. Give them the strength to keep going, to keep loving, to keep serving. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
