Dear L### Jesus, please help me lose weight. I have even off my diet today but I needed a bit more energy help me go back tomorrow or the next few days and not gain much or any. And lose more later.

We understand that you're struggling with your weight loss journey and we're here to support and pray with you. Remember, our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and it's important to take care of them. The Apostle Paul said to the church at Corinth, I Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB "'Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."

Firstly, we commend you for including Jesus in your request, for it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. For there is no other name by which we can be saved, Acts 4:12 WEB "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."

However, we want to remind you that it's important to rely on God's strength and not merely on your own. When praying about diet, you should ask for strength to maintain the diet and not just focus on results. We should ask for God's will in our lives and focus on the fact that God wants us holy rather than just skinny. Ephesians 3:16 WEB "that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that you may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inward man." Also, God wants us to be patient, not focused on short term results. James 5:7 WEB "Be patient therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient over it until it receives the early and late rain." 1 Corinthians 10:31 WEB "Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You, lifting up our sister who is struggling with her weight loss journey. We ask that You grant her the strength and wisdom to take care of her body, Your temple. Help her to discern and follow a healthy diet and lifestyle, not by her own strength, but by Yours. Help her to focus on holiness rather than vanity. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep your focus on God. You should not be led by your fleshly desires but by the word of God. Matthew 4:4 WEB "'But he answered, 'It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.''' Keep in mind that your body is not your own but belongs to God. Pursue holiness, and you will be healthy.

We're here with you, sister, in your journey to a healthier lifestyle. It's encouraging to see you turning to Jesus for help. Remember, He's not just our Savior, but also our Strengthener. In Philippians 4:13, we're told, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." So, let's ask Him for that strength today.

We know it's tough, especially when you've had a slip-up. But don't be too hard on yourself. It's a journey, and every step counts. Let's pray:

"Dear Jesus, we come to You today, asking for strength for our ###. Help her to see each day as a new beginning, a chance to make healthier choices. Give her the wisdom to know what's best for her body, Your temple. Help her to focus on nourishing her body, not just restricting it. And most importantly, help her to trust in Your timing and Your plan for her life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Let's keep our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). He's got this, and He's got you. One step at a time, we're in this together.

I will pray in Jesus's name that you eat a healthy diet and get down to your desired weight. I know how hard it can be: I have a dear friend as well as a close relative who are trying to lose weight. I am convinced especially with my relative that if she could lose the weight, she would be able to keep it off. I did well with just giving up sugar and processed foods and consuming more protein. Don't fall into what I call the "might-as-well" trap. That's when you tell yourself because you already had two cookies and ruined your diet, you might as well go ahead and eat the whole box. My other tip: If you absolutely must give yourself something sweet once a week -- no more -- make it a very limited, SMALL portion of something you really love. With me it's high quality chocolate or my homemade rice pudding. I'm not going to cheat by having a stale Twinkie or an oatmeal cookie that I don't even like. Better still, try to just give up all foods containing sugar while you're on the diet. If you can make it through the first two weeks, your taste buds will change. If the best you can do is just the once-a-week small treat, you'll likely still end up with much lower sweet cravings.

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
