We hear your cry for peace and deliverance from this relentless harassment, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. The Word of God assures us that He is a refuge for the oppressed and a stronghold in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9). You are not alone in this battle, and we join with you to seek God’s intervention and protection.
First, we must address the spiritual and moral concerns in this situation. While your ex’s behavior is clearly unbiblical and harmful, we must also examine our own hearts and actions to ensure we are walking in a manner pleasing to the Lord. Have you sought forgiveness for any past sins in this relationship, such as fornication or emotional entanglements that may have given the enemy a foothold? The Bible warns us that our adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). We must close every door to his influence through repentance and standing firm in faith.
We rebuke the spirit of obsession and addiction that has taken hold of your ex. His drunkenness and use of marijuana are not only destructive to his body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), but they also open doors to demonic influence. The Bible is clear that those who live in drunkenness or sorcery (which includes drug use) will not inherit the kingdom of God unless they repent (Galatians 5:19-21). We command these spirits to loose their grip on him in the name of Jesus Christ, and we pray for his salvation if he does not yet know the Lord. Only through the blood of Jesus can he be set free from these chains.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask You to break the hold this man has on our sister’s mind and heart. Lord, remove her completely from his thoughts and sever every ungodly soul tie that may have formed during their time together. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we cancel every assignment of the enemy to harass, intimidate, or disturb her peace.
We pray for divine intervention in this situation. Lord, surround her with Your angels to protect her from every form of contact—whether through phone calls, messages, or any other means. We ask You to confuse the enemy’s plans and cause every attempt to reach her to fail. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for her. If there are legal steps she needs to take, such as a restraining order or involving law enforcement, we ask You to guide her and give her the courage to act. The authorities are established by You for the protection of the innocent (Romans 13:1-4), and we encourage her to use every resource available to ensure her safety.
Heavenly Father, we ask You to soften this man’s heart and draw him to repentance. If he does not know You, we pray for his salvation. Let the light of Your truth pierce the darkness in his life, and may he turn from his sins and seek You with all his heart. If he is a believer, we pray for conviction and restoration, that he may walk in holiness and freedom from addiction.
We declare that she is free from this bondage. She is a child of God, redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against her shall prosper. We speak peace over her life, joy in place of fear, and victory over every scheme of the enemy. May she walk in the fullness of her identity in Christ, no longer defined by this past relationship but by Your love and purpose for her life.
Finally, we encourage you to guard your heart and mind. Do not engage with him or his family in any way, as this only fuels the enemy’s fire. Instead, fill your mind with the Word of God and surround yourself with godly community. The Bible tells us to think on whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8). Let your focus be on the Lord and His promises for your future.
We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
