Prayer in time of Debt
Almighty, everlasting God, I beg of You to help me soon to pay off my debts to my debtors.
Give me strength and courage to persevere until the last penny is paid.
Give patience to those to whom I am in debt, and let them not treat me unjustly.
Help me have great confidence in You and in the workings of Your providence,
trusting that You will always direct things to my greatest good.
Make me also fully realize that no debt to my debtors can begin to equal the debt that I owe You on account of my sins, to say nothing of the immense debt I owe You
for the gifts of Your Divine grace.
These I could never pay at all but for the coming of Your Son,
my Lord, Jesus Christ.
To Him be all honor and thanksgiving, now and forever.
Amen.
Prayer for Redemption
My God,
I am sorry for my sins with all my heart. In choosing to do wrong and failing to do good,
I have sinned against you whom I should love above all things. I firmly intend, with your help, to do penance, to sin no more, and to avoid whatever leads me to sin.
My Saviour Jesus Christ suffered and died for me. In his name, my God, have mercy.
Amen.
Prayer for Miracles
Jesus, Your array of miracles, A true manifestation of Your Divinity,
Draws the admiration of searching souls. Never let it be said, "Miracles do not exist!".
You are the living example of such actions. Bless me with the faith to always believe,
To affirm the Supreme Power of Your miracles, Be they of a physical or spiritual nature.
Grant me the aptitude to instantly perceive The source of all supernatural occurrences,
So only Your Excellence shall be glorified. Jesus, my existence is a wondrous miracle!
Amen.
Evening Family Prayer
Lord, behold our family here assembled. We thank you for this place in which we dwell,
for the love that unites us, for the peace accorded to us this day, for the hope with which we expect the morrow; for the health, the work, the food and the bright skies
that make our lives delightful; for our friends in all parts of the earth.
Amen.
Prayer in time of Illness
Lord Jesus, you came into the world to heal our infirmities and to endure our sufferings.
You went about healing all and bringing comfort to those in pain and need.
I come before you now in this time of illness asking that you may be the source
of my strength in body, courage in spirit and patience in pain. May I join myself more closely to you on the cross and in your suffering that through them I may draw my patience and hope. Assist me and restore me to health so that united more closely
to your family, the Church, I may give praise and honour to your name.
Amen.
Prayer for the Church
Gracious God, you have called us to be the Church of Jesus Christ.
Keep us one in faith and service; breaking bread together
and telling the good news to the world; that all may believe you are love,
turn to your ways, and live to your glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen
Prayer for Parents
Dear Lord!
Fill our parents with Your choicest blessings: enrich their souls with Your Holy grace;
grant that they may faithfully and constantly guard that likeness of Your union with Your Church, which You did imprint upon them on their wedding day. Fill them with Your spirit of holy fear, which is the beginning of wisdom; inspire them to impart it to their children. May they ever walk in the way of Your commandments and may we their children be their joy here on earth and their crown of glory in heaven. Finally, Lord God, grant, that both our father and mother may attain to extreme old age and enjoy continuous health in mind and body. May they give You abundant thanks because You have bestowed upon them the great gift of parenthood.
Amen.

And lead us not into temptation;
But deliver us from evil;
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever.
Amen.

The greatest thing any one can do for God and for man is to pray. It is not the only thing. But it is the chief thing. A correct balancing of the possible powers one may exert puts it first. For if a man is to pray right, he must first be right in his motives and life. And if a man be right, and put the practice of praying in its right place, then his serving and giving and speaking will be great with the presence of God.
The meaning of Amen in Prayers
The word 'Amen' is a Hebrew word meaning firm and faithful. The literal translation is 'so be it' and is used where one person confirms the words of another, and adds his wish for success to the other's vows and predictions.
