We hear your cry and we are standing with you in prayer right now, lifting up your eyesight and the fear that has gripped your heart before the throne of grace together in Jesus' name.
We know how frightening it is when something as precious as sight feels threatened, and we want you to know that God sees your distress and hears your voice. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18. He has not forgotten you in this fear.
The Lord is the one who opens eyes and restores health. Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down. Yahweh loves the righteous. Psalm 146:8. For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17. We cling to these promises as we pray for you, trusting that He is able to touch your eyes, to guide the hands of any doctors you see, and to bring healing according to His perfect will.
We also want to gently share something important with you because we noticed your request called out to God but did not mention Jesus. We say this in love because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. When we pray in Jesus' name, we come through the one who shed His blood for us and who intercedes for us. If you have not yet put your trust in Him, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for that is how we are saved and brought near to God.
We understand your fear, but God does not want you to live in terror. For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7. Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.
So together we pray.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who is so scared about their eyesight. Lord, You know the details of what is happening with their eyes, You know every fear and every anxious thought. We ask You to lay Your healing hand upon their eyes and restore their sight. Touch what needs to be touched, heal what needs to be healed, and let Your restoring power be made known. We pray for perfect peace to guard their heart and mind, driving out fear and filling them with Your comfort. Guide them to the right medical help if needed, give wisdom to every doctor and clarity in every test, and let all treatment be effective in Your hands. Strengthen their faith to trust You more than their fear, and draw them closer to Jesus, the Great Physician and Savior. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and healer, amen.
We encourage you to keep bringing this to the Lord continually, to seek prompt medical care for your eyes as a good steward of the body God has given you, and to ask a trusted pastor or believing friend to pray with you in person and to lay hands on you as Scripture teaches. Keep your eyes on Jesus, for He will never leave you nor forsake you. We are continuing to pray strongly for you.
