Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you and give all the glory and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for the great improvement He has already worked in your life, and we thank Him that you have cried out to Him with a sincere heart, for He hears the cries of His children. It is a beautiful thing that you desire not just temporary relief but lasting and true purity for the glory of God, and we join our faith with yours for complete deliverance.

The struggles you mention, pornography, masturbation, flirting and all sexual sin, are indeed serious before God, for His Word calls us to flee sexual immorality and to honor Him with our bodies. As it is written, Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20. Our Lord also teaches us that purity begins in the heart and mind, for everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. Matthew 5:28. Flirting with the opposite sex outside of godly courtship that seeks marriage to a fellow believer can open the door to temptation and does not honor the Lord's design for purity leading to marriage between a man and a woman.

We praise God that He has already begun a good work, and we know He is faithful to complete it as you continue to walk by the Spirit and renew your mind in His Word. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2. We encourage you to walk by the Spirit, and you won't fulfill the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:16. This means making no provision for the flesh, cutting off every source and access that leads to temptation, making a covenant with your eyes as Job did in Job 31:1, filling your mind daily with Scripture, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5. We also encourage you to walk in the light with accountability before a mature Christian brother, confessing and forsaking sin, for If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9.

We now pray together with you.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we thank You for the mercy You have already shown to our dear brother and for the improvement You have granted. We ask You to complete the deliverance You have begun. Create in him a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within him. Psalm 51:10. Renew his mind, make him very wise in Your Word, and show him the way of escape from every temptation so that he may endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13. Help him and guide him to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from his life and heart, to hate what You hate and to love what You love. Give him understanding, speak to him clearly, and fill him with Your Holy Spirit so that these sins will forever be far from him. Teach him to flee youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace. 2 Timothy 2:22. Let his body, mind and heart be wholly Yours, a living sacrifice holy and acceptable to You, for Your glory alone. We ask that You guard his eyes, his thoughts and his steps, and lead him in purity and holiness all the days of his life. We pray all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and deliverer. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to cry out to Him, for He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6. Keep abiding in Christ daily through prayer, fasting, and the Word, and do not grow weary, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up. Galatians 6:9.

We're so thankful you shared this so openly with us. We can hear how earnestly you have prayed and wept, and we rejoice with you that God has already brought real improvement. We give thanks with you to the Lord Jesus for that, and we understand why you long for the work to go deeper and last.

Wanting these sins to be far from your heart and mind for good is a good desire, and lasting change often comes as a steady process rather than a single moment. There will be days of clear progress and days that test what you have learned, and that does not mean God has left you. It is often how He slowly renews our thinking and teaches us wisdom over time.

It can help not to carry this alone. If you don't already have someone, would you prayerfully consider asking one trusted, mature believer, a pastor or a Christian counselor, to walk with you regularly for accountability and prayer? A simple weekly check in where you can be honest, talk through triggers like being alone with a phone or computer late at night, and pray together can give you both support and practical boundaries.

Father, we bring our brother before You and ask for Your mercy and help. Renew his mind, give him understanding and wisdom, and lead him step by step away from what has entangled him. Guard his heart, draw him close to Jesus, and give him strength and hope for each day. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

There is great cause to give all glory and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for the improvement He has already wrought in you, and we rejoice to hear that you have cried unto Him with many tears. He who has begun a good work is able to complete it, and your desire for a lasting and true deliverance for the glory of God is itself an evidence of His grace at work in your heart.

You have rightly judged these sins of pornography, masturbation and flirting to be evil in the sight of God, for lust when it has conceived brings forth sin, and sin when it is finished brings forth death. Purity and charity are the two great garments of Christianity, and charity without purity will be of no use, for without holiness no man shall see the Lord. You have escaped in measure the corruption that is in the world through lust, having been made partaker of the Divine Nature by regeneration, and you now long to be kept far from that corruption altogether. This longing is according to the will of God, for marriage is honourable and the bed undefiled, and all sexual intimacy belongs within the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman.

Know this, that deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. Where we look for justification, there must we also look for sanctification, for both come from our heavenly Father alone through Jesus Christ. The prisoner was ready to go down to the pit, but God has found a ransom. His own Son has borne the penalty of all our iniquities, and when the Lamb was slain deliverance was made effectual. He brought His people forth, and He will bring you forth also. This is not a deliverance you can achieve by your own resolve, though you must do whatever it takes to flee temptation, to pluck out the eye that offends and to keep your feet from the path of evil. It is He who must work in you, renew your mind and make you wise unto holiness.

We will pray with you and for you, that the Lord will show you mercy, speak to you, give you understanding and grant you full deliverance. We ask that He will renew your mind day by day by His Word and Spirit, that He will make you very wise to discern and to hate every approach of sin, and that these sins will be put forever far from your life and heart. Look to the Lord Jesus Christ for all things, for He is alive and is your familiar Friend. When a child of God in deep distress believes in his Father and steadily looks to Him for deliverance, those eyes of faith have mighty power and do in a holy sense overcome Him who is Goodness itself. Continue to cry unto Him, for His ear is not shut to the prayer of the penitent.

After affliction and deliverance the believer has a work to do, to live and to declare the works of the Lord. We have been delivered from worse enemies than Israel of old and saved by a greater salvation, so let your gratitude be deeper and your song more jubilant. If He keeps you, and He is able to keep you from falling, let your life become a testimony that His grace not only pardons but also purifies and preserves.

May the Lord grant you a settled peace, a watchful heart, and a mind stayed upon Christ, that you may walk in purity before Him all your days, in the Name of Jesus Christ our only hope and righteousness.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We give thanks to God with you for the improvement you have seen, and we join you in giving all glory to the Lord Jesus Christ for it. It is right to thank Him for every step away from sin, and it is right to keep asking Him for lasting and true freedom, so that your life and heart may be fully His.

You have prayed and cried out much, and the Lord hears that seeking. As Scripture says, seek and you shall find, but finding God is like finding gold, it is sought with much labor, with hands lifted by night, with concentration of mind, with asking and searching as for something precious that is lost. Continue to seek Him in that way, not lightly or briefly, but with steady persistence, in prayer, in His Word, and in turning away from what harms you.

The change you desire is a renewal, and Scripture speaks of being renewed in the spirit of your mind. The same person is renewed, but what is old is put off and made new by the Spirit working within the mind. When the mind holds the reins, all else is kept in order, but when the mind becomes careless and loses its discernment, everything is dragged out of course. That is why the battle is chiefly in the mind. Pray that God will guard and renew your thoughts, and cooperate with Him by keeping your mind stayed on what is pure and true.

God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth. This worship is not only outward, but inward, in the soul and in purity of mind. It means offering yourself to Him, not only avoiding outward acts, but circumcising evil thoughts and crucifying unreasonable desires. Every inordinate desire, whether for sexual immorality, for flirting that stirs lust, or for any pleasure outside of God's design, is to be fled as a youthful lust that comes from a wavering heart. Scripture says flee these things, do not linger near them or bargain with them.

Growth in virtue also comes step by step. Learn as a child learns letters, first one form and then the next, joining them together until they are written on the soul. So practice first to not return to pornography or masturbation, to not seek flirting with the opposite sex, to guard your eyes and your conversation, and then to add what belongs to the Spirit, continence, temperance, self control, gentleness and contriteness of mind. Do not try to do all at once in your own strength, but faithfully take the next right step, trusting the Spirit to strengthen you.

We pray for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we thank You for the mercy You have already shown and for the improvement You have granted. We ask You to complete this good work. Show mercy, grant understanding and deliverance, and renew the spirit of his mind. Make him wise to see temptation from afar and to flee it, and give him strength to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from his life and heart. Teach him to worship You in spirit and in truth, to crucify evil thoughts and desires, and to walk in purity for Your glory. Keep him close to You, establish his heart, and let these sins be far from him all his days. Amen.

Keep seeking, keep praying, and walk in the light, turning quickly from every occasion of sin and drawing near to Christ who is able to keep you.

I thank God with you for the improvement you have seen and I join you in giving all glory to the Lord Jesus Christ for it. It is right to thank Him, because every step toward purity is His mercy and His power at work in you, and it is also right to keep seeking Him for lasting and true freedom.

Your request shows you understand where this battle is fought. Scripture teaches that these struggles do not come only from outside, but from lust warring within us. The apostle John describes it as the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. That is not of the Father, but of the world, and the world with its lust is passing away. James says a person is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desire and enticed, and when that desire is entertained it brings forth sin. It begins in the heart, in a look that is not turned away, in a thought that is allowed to linger. That is why the counsel is so direct, do not lust after beauty in your heart, do not feed the eye and the flesh, but cut it off at the first moment.

Pornography is especially dangerous in this way. It is designed to inflame passion and it can take hold of the mind like a drug. Many have found that it grips them and they cannot free themselves by willpower alone. It creates pressure toward further sexual sin, and it leaves the mind polluted. What is sown into the mind will be reaped in life. If we sow to the flesh we reap corruption, but if we sow to the Spirit we reap life. That is why deliverance involves more than trying harder, it involves being washed by the Word of God and renewed in the mind.

Prayer is central, but its purpose is not to get God to do our will so we can consume it on our own desires. True prayer seeks His will to be done in us. God has given us exceeding great promises in Scripture so that by laying hold of them we may partake of His divine nature and escape the corruption that is in the world through lust. When you pray for wisdom, for a renewed mind, for understanding and deliverance, you are asking according to His will, for He desires purity and holiness for His children. He wants to make you pure as Christ is pure.

So continue to walk in the light with Him. Guard your eyes and your heart, turn away quickly from what would tempt you, and fill your mind daily with Scripture so that what is holy replaces what is unholy. Flee from what tempts you and pursue righteousness, and walk in fellowship where you can be honest and accountable. God is merciful and He hears the cries of those who seek Him with a sincere heart.

I pray for you now that God will show you His mercy, speak to you, and give you understanding. May He renew your mind, make you wise in His ways, and set you fully free from every hold of pornography, masturbation, flirting and all sexual sin. May He wash your mind with His Word, strengthen you by His Spirit, and keep you in lasting purity, so that your life bears fruit for His glory through Jesus Christ. May you grow day by day in His love, His grace and His Word, and know the freedom of walking in holiness before Him.
