Help! ..😭..😭I really prayed and cried a lot..

Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you and give all the glory and thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ for the great improvement He has already worked in your life, and we thank Him for your honest and broken heart before Him. It is the Lord who hears those who cry out to Him and it is His mercy and grace that brings deliverance and true change. We praise God that you have turned from pornography, masturbation, flirting and sexual sin and are seeking lasting and true victory for His glory.

We want to gently and lovingly affirm what you already know, that these things are sexual immorality and sin before a holy God and must be forsaken completely. The body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body, and we are called to flee sexual immorality, for every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body, 1 Cor 6:18. Jesus taught that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart, Matt 5:28. Pornography and masturbation feed that lust of the flesh and defile the heart and mind, and flirting outside of godly courtship toward marriage opens the door to temptation and fornication. God designed sexual intimacy to be only within the lifelong marriage covenant between one man and one woman, and any use of it outside of that is sin that we must repent of and turn from. God calls us to be holy as He is holy, 1 Pet 1:16.

We also rejoice that you desire not just outward behavior change but a renewed mind and a wise heart that stays far from these sins forever. That is the true work of God. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God, Rom 12:2. We encourage you to continue to make no provision for the flesh, to put on the Lord Jesus Christ, Rom 13:14, and to walk by the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh, Gal 5:16. This means taking practical and radical steps to flee temptation, as Joseph fled, to make a covenant with your eyes as Job did, Job 31:1, to guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life, Prov 4:23, to put filters and boundaries on what you see and where you go, to bring your struggle into the light with a mature and trusted Christian brother for accountability and prayer, confessing your sins to one another and praying for one another that you may be healed, James 5:16, and to fill your mind daily with the Word of God, with prayer, and with worship so there is no room for the enemy to sow seeds.

We know tears and crying out have marked this season for you, and God does not despise a broken and contrite heart, Psalm 51:17. He is faithful to forgive and to cleanse, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me, Psalm 51:10. We are confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ, Phil 1:6.

We now pray together with you in the name of Jesus Christ.

Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and mediator, and we thank You for the mercy You have already shown to our dear brother. Thank You for hearing his cries and for bringing great improvement and conviction. We ask that You would complete the work You have begun and grant lasting and true deliverance for Your glory. Renew his mind by Your Holy Spirit and by Your Word, make him very wise to discern and to flee every form of temptation, and set a guard over his eyes and his heart. Help him to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from his life, to cut off every source and every access that leads back to darkness, and to walk in purity, self-control and holiness. Speak to him, give him understanding, show him Your mercy anew each day, and fill him with Your strength where he is weak, for Your grace is sufficient. Keep him from returning to the vomit of sin and lead him into the joy of obedience, into godly fellowship, and in Your timing into a Christ centered marriage if it is Your will, where purity is honored. Let his life be a testimony of Your delivering power. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast, to keep crying out, to keep abiding in Christ daily through Scripture and prayer, and to trust that God who delivered you in part will deliver you completely as you continue to submit to Him. Resist the devil and he will flee from you, James 4:7.

We thank you for sharing so honestly with us, and we join you in thanking the Lord for the real improvement you have seen. It matters that you notice it and give Him the glory, and it also matters that you are honest that you still need deeper, lasting change. Both are signs God is at work.

We hear how much you have prayed and wept over this, and we want you to know that struggle does not mean you have failed. Lasting freedom is often less like a single moment and more like a steady walk, where God renews the mind over time as we keep turning to Him and put practical supports in place.

One step that helps many is not walking alone. Would you consider asking one trusted pastor, counselor, or mature believer to meet with you regularly for honest accountability and prayer, perhaps connected to a small support group at your church? Having a consistent person to check in with can make it harder for old patterns to stay hidden and easier to stay encouraged.

We are praying for you and will keep praying.

Father, we thank You for the work You have already done in our brother's life and for his hunger to be made new. Have mercy on him, give him wisdom to take the next right steps, renew his mind, and keep his heart close to You. Guard him day by day and lead him in Your will. In Jesus' name, amen.

We give thanks with you unto the Lord Jesus Christ, for every sign of improvement is from His gracious hand, and to Him be all the glory. It is a tender mercy that you have been kept from going down further into the pit, and that you can now see with sorrow what once blinded you, and can cry after holiness. Let this be your confidence, that He who has begun a good work will perfect it, for deliverance is of the Lord.

You have prayed and cried much, and you still feel the need of a more lasting and true deliverance, that these sins may be forever far from your heart and life. Hear the word of the Lord, Then He is gracious unto him, and says, Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance if God had not thought of it, but He has not only invented the way, He has found the ransom in the blood of His own Son. The prisoner is ready to be executed, but there comes to him undeserved deliverance from all punishment, for the King's own Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities. This is your hope, not your tears, not your resolutions, but the ransom which Divine Love has provided. God has given commandment to save you and you shall be saved, saved from yourself and from all the attacks of your old sins.

And remember that sin is a tremendous moral and spiritual darkness which hides from the heart what it ought to see. We are told, He has delivered us from the power of darkness. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and in order to our sanctification we must look to our heavenly Father, altogether and alone. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. Unless a supernatural power is put forth, any form of deliverance is worth nothing. You must be born again from above if you are to live above.

Therefore wait upon the Lord, for all strength apart from God is derived strength and must soon fail, and the sin that dwells in us drags us down and makes our strength to need renewing. But waiting upon God means dependence upon Him and expectation from Him, as birds in the nest wait upon the parent bird. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. With God reliance you may work what now seems impossible, for He keeps back the soul from the pit and renews the mind that it may hate what it once loved and love what it once despised.

We do pray with you and for you, as you have desired, in the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour.

We pray that God will show you mercy, speak to you by His Word and Spirit, give you understanding and full deliverance, and guide you to do whatever it takes to put away these sins forever from your heart and life, whether it be the cutting off of every provision for the flesh, the fleeing from every place and image and company that ensnares you, and the walking in the light. We pray that He will renew your mind and make you very wise with that wisdom which is pure and peaceable, that you may see the exceeding sinfulness of sin and the blessedness of chastity and holiness. We pray that He will establish you in that historic and holy way which He ordained from the beginning, that marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that the gift of union belongs within that covenant alone, to be kept undefiled for His glory.

The Lord has chastened you sorely, but that which we receive from the rod of the Lord bears the blessed aspect of chastening from a Father's hand, and this makes even the sharpest smart to be profitable. Take then this chastening as love, and take this deliverance as grace, and henceforth live to declare the works of the Lord, that others who are wounded by the same arrows may hear how the Lord has delivered you and may seek the same ransom.

May the Lord keep you, cleanse you thoroughly, and present you faultless before His presence with exceeding joy. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We give thanks to God with you for the improvement you have seen and we give all glory to the Lord Jesus Christ for it. It is His mercy and grace that brings any victory over sin, and it is right to thank Him and to keep asking Him for more.

We hear how earnestly you have prayed and cried out, and how deeply you desire lasting and true freedom for the glory of God. God hears that cry. He is merciful and He promises that if we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us, and that He will renew our minds and teach us His way.

We join you in prayer now that God will help you and guide you to remove these sins completely from your life and heart in the name of Jesus Christ. We pray that He will renew your mind, make you wise in His Word, and keep these temptations far from you. We pray that He will show you mercy, give you understanding, and grant you full deliverance, so that you may walk in purity and strength.

Scripture calls us to flee sexual immorality and to pursue purity, because our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and sex is a gift God designed to belong only within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. Lasting freedom comes not only by trying harder but by turning fully to Christ for salvation and by learning to walk in His way step by step.

So we encourage you to keep these practices with God's help:

First, cut off the sources and vehicles of temptation. If lust is fed by what the eyes see or by careless talk and joking, remove those triggers completely and make no provision for the flesh.

Second, renew your mind daily in Scripture. Write God's Word on your heart, memorize it, and pray it back to Him when temptation comes. Let worship, prayer, and thanksgiving fill the places where impurity once lived.

Third, walk in the light with other believers. Bring a trusted pastor or mature Christian into your struggle for honest accountability and prayer, and stay planted in fellowship where you can be encouraged and corrected in love.

Fourth, learn virtue steadily, as one step after another, growing in self control, faithfulness, and humility before God. Pride makes the heart unclean, but God gives grace to the humble who tremble at His Word and depend on Christ.

Do not grow discouraged if progress feels slow. God who began this good work in you will be faithful to complete it as you keep turning from sin and turning to Him. Keep crying out to Him, keep repenting quickly, and keep trusting not in your own strength but in the power of Jesus who died and rose to set you free.

We pray that the Lord will fill you with His Spirit, with wisdom and understanding, with a pure heart and a steadfast mind, and that He will guard your thoughts and your ways. May He lead you into full freedom and keep you walking in holiness for His glory, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
