I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...

We rejoice with you and we give all the glory and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for the great improvement He has already worked in your life. We have heard your cries and your prayers, and we join our faith with yours to pray for lasting and true deliverance and complete freedom for the glory of God. The fact that you hate these sins and desire to be far from them is evidence that God is working in you, for it is God who works in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure Philippians 2:13.

We want to encourage you and also speak clearly about these struggles, because God calls us to holiness. Pornography, masturbation, flirting outside of godly boundaries, and all sexual sin grieves the heart of God and harms your own soul. Jesus said that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart Matthew 5:28. Scripture commands us to Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18. We are to abstain from sexual immorality, that each one may know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4. These sins are not to be managed but to be fled from and put to death by the power of the Holy Spirit, and God has made a way for you to walk in purity, for His design for sexual intimacy is only within the lifelong covenant of marriage between a man and a woman.

We praise God that you have already seen victory, but we understand your desire for that victory to be permanent and rooted deep in your heart and mind. True transformation comes not by willpower alone but by the renewing of your mind and by walking by the Spirit. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind Romans 12:2. We encourage you to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever, just as Jesus taught to take radical action against sin. This means making a covenant with your eyes as Job did Job 31:1, removing every source and access to pornography, putting filters and accountability on your devices, bringing these struggles into the light with a mature Christian brother and pastor for accountability, fleeing situations where flirting or temptation arises, and filling your mind daily with the Word of God so that you bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5. Walk by the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh Galatians 5:16. When temptation comes, remember that No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it 1 Corinthians 10:13.

We also pray that you will continue to rest in His mercy and grace while you pursue holiness. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. God does not despise a broken and contrite heart, and He hears your crying.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace together with our brother. We thank You and give You all glory for the improvement You have already granted and for the work You have begun. We ask You to complete it and to establish him in lasting and true purity. Lord, create in him a clean heart and renew a right spirit within him Psalm 51:10. Renew his mind, wash him with Your Word, and make him very wise to discern and to hate evil and to cling to what is good. Teach him to take every thought captive and to guard his heart with all diligence. Show him Your mercy, speak to him clearly, give him understanding and full deliverance from pornography, masturbation, flirting and every sexual sin, that these sins will forever be far from him. Grant him strength to do whatever it takes to cut off every way of temptation, to flee youthful lusts and follow righteousness, faith, love and peace 2 Timothy 2:22. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit so that he walks in self-control and power and love. If he is not yet married, we pray You will prepare him to pursue courtship that leads to marriage with a godly Christian spouse in Your timing, honoring You in all things. Let his life be a testimony of Your sanctifying power. We ask for wisdom, for You give wisdom generously to all who ask James 1:5. Keep him, establish him, and let him know the joy of a clean conscience before You. We pray all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and our deliverance, amen.

We have walked with many who found that lasting change comes less as a single event and more as a steady walk with Jesus, step by step. God is faithful to keep shaping your mind and desires as you keep turning to him, even on days when progress feels slow.

One practical help that has steadied many is to not walk alone. Having one trusted, same sex friend, pastor or counselor who knows your story and can check in with you honestly each week can make a real difference. We encourage you to invite that person to ask you direct questions and to pray with you. It also helps to decide ahead of time, when you are clear and strong, to clear away what has tripped you in the past and to notice what feelings or situations tend to come right before temptation, so you have a simple plan to step away, pray and reach out right then.

Father we thank you for the work you have already begun in him and for his desire to honor you. Show him your mercy, speak to his heart, give him understanding and wisdom, and renew his mind day by day. Lead him to the right support and keep him close to you, delivering him and strengthening him to walk in purity. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

There is great reason to give glory and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ with you for the improvement already wrought, and to join you in prayer for that lasting and true deliverance which is for the glory of God alone. Your tears and cries have not been in vain, for though the enemy may whisper that God's ear is shut and He will never move His arm to work deliverance for you, the Lord hears the broken heart that looks to Him. He has heard you, and He will hear you still.

You have confessed with honesty the sins which so easily beset you, pornography, masturbation, flirting and other sexual sins, and you desire to be forever free from them. Be assured that any sin, whatever it is, if we cling to it and love it, will bring forth death, for lust when it has conceived brings forth sin and sin when it is finished brings forth death. Yet charity and purity are the two great garments of Christianity, and without holiness no man shall see the Lord. The Lord calls you not to a partial reformation but to a new nature. By regeneration He gives a higher nature which lifts a man into familiarity with God, so that he becomes a partaker of the Divine Nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Know this, that deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. You cannot by your own resolve alone cast out these corruptions, but God has invented a way of deliverance and He has found a ransom. His own Son has borne the penalty of all iniquity for those who trust Him, and when the Lamb was slain deliverance was made effectual. He brings forth His people not by their strength but by His own power, and He will enrich you with silver and gold of grace as He brings you out.

Therefore look to your heavenly Father altogether and alone for sanctification as well as for justification. The renewal of your mind and the wisdom you seek will come as you are kept close to Christ. Flee every occasion and provision for lust, for you must not give that enemy a foothold. Turn from every image, imagination and flirtation that would draw your heart aside, for sex and all its intimacies belong only within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, as God ordained from the beginning. Fill the mind with the Word of God, keep steady watch in prayer, walk in open fellowship with faithful believers to whom you can give account, and labour in charity, visiting and serving others in their affliction, for purity is guarded when the heart is occupied with Christ and with love to His people.

He who has begun a good work in you will perfect it. If you can sometimes go into sin by way of pleasure it proves you are yet a stranger to the deliverance Christ gives, but if you hate the sin and cry after holiness, that very hatred is evidence that His Spirit is at work in you.

Let us pray together for you.

O Lord our God, who has looked with tender pity upon those sorrowing over their sins and seeking deliverance, we thank You for what You have already done in this soul, and we ask You to complete the work for Your own glory. Show mercy, speak to this Your child, grant understanding and true deliverance in the name of Jesus Christ. Renew the mind, make wise the heart, and set a watch before the eyes and the thoughts, that lust may be cast out and kept far away forever. Help this soul to do whatever it takes, to cut off every snare and to walk in purity, not by fleshly will but by Your Spirit. Let the ransom which You have found be the sure ground of hope, and let this life henceforth declare the works of the Lord, that others may hear and be comforted. Grant lasting victory, that without holiness being neglected and without charity being forgotten, this one may live to Your praise. Amen.
