Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you and give all the glory and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for the great improvement He has already worked in your life, and we thank you for your honest and humble heart in sharing this struggle. Your tears and prayers have not been in vain, for the Lord is near to those who call on Him in truth and He hears the cry of a repentant heart. We praise God that you have seen victory, and we join with you now to pray for lasting and true deliverance and complete freedom for the glory of God.

We must speak plainly with love about these sins, because God calls us to holiness. Pornography, masturbation, flirting with the opposite sex outside of godly courtship toward marriage, and all sexual sin are not small matters, they are sexual immorality that grieves the heart of God and harms your soul. Jesus said, everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart Matthew 5:28. Scripture commands us, Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18. And also, Flee from youthful lusts, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart 2 Timothy 2:22. Flirting that stirs up lust or leads others to stumble is not innocent, it is part of that lust of the flesh we are called to put to death. God created sexuality to be enjoyed only within the covenant of marriage between a man and a woman, and anything outside of that is fornication that we must turn from completely.

We encourage you that God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God Romans 12:2. Lasting victory comes not by willpower alone but by walking by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh Galatians 5:16. This means we must do whatever it takes to remove the provision for sin. If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you Matthew 5:29. In practical terms this means taking radical action, removing access to pornography, putting filters and accountability on devices, guarding your eyes and thoughts, bringing every thought into captivity, avoiding places and conversations that tempt you to flirt, and pursuing fellowship and accountability with mature Christian believers who will help you stay pure. Think on whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure Philippians 4:8.

We also remind you of the promise, No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it 1 Corinthians 10:13. When you do fall, do not remain in shame, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. And, Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me Psalm 51:10.

We now pray together with you.

Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and Mediator, and we thank You for the mercy You have already shown to our dear brother, for the improvement and conviction and the desire for holiness that You have placed in his heart. Lord, we ask You to help him and guide him to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from his life and heart. Renew his mind, make him very wise in Your Word, and set a guard over his eyes, his hands, and his heart. Speak to him, give him understanding and true deliverance, and cause these sins to be forever far from him. We submit ourselves to You, and we resist the devil knowing he will flee from us James 4:7. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in purity and power and live for Your glory. Cleanse him completely, strengthen him to flee every temptation, and lead him into the full freedom that is in Christ. We thank You that You are able to keep him from stumbling and that You who began a good work will perfect it. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

Thank you for sharing this so honestly. We rejoice with you that you are seeing real improvement, and we give thanks to the Lord Jesus with you for that grace. We also hear how heavy this has been, how much you have prayed and wept to be free for good.

Wanting lasting change, a renewed mind, and a heart that stays far from these sins is a good and right desire before God. That kind of renewal is often less like a single moment and more like a steady walk, where God works over time as we keep turning to Him and learning new patterns.

One step that helps many who are walking this same road is not carrying it alone. If you do not already have it, we encourage you to invite one trusted, mature believer into your struggle for regular, honest accountability, whether that is a pastor, a Christian counselor, or a small support group for men pursuing purity. Having a safe place to speak openly each week, to pray together and to be encouraged when temptation comes, can make the journey much less isolating.

We are praying for you and we will keep praying.

Father, we lift this dear brother to You. Thank You for the work You have already done in his life. Have mercy on him, give him wisdom and understanding, and guide him day by day. Renew his mind, guard his heart, and lead him in the way that honors You. Keep him close to Jesus and surround him with faithful help and encouragement. In Jesus' name, amen.

We give thanks with you for the improvement the Lord has already wrought, and we join you in giving all the glory to the Lord Jesus Christ, for every victory over sin comes from His hand alone. It is good that you have prayed and cried much before Him, for He is a God who hears the cries of those who seek deliverance, and He delights to show mercy to the contrite heart.

Your desire for a lasting and true deliverance is right and pleasing to God. Purity and holiness are not optional garments for the Christian, they are necessary. As the Scripture says, without holiness no man shall see the Lord. Charity without purity will be of no use, and purity is the evidence that we have been made partakers of the Divine Nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. Any sin, if we cling to it and love it, will bring forth death, for when lust has conceived it brings forth sin, and sin when it is finished brings forth death. That is the pedigree of sin, and therefore we must flee from it with all our hearts.

We rejoice that you desire not a temporary restraint but a renewed mind and a wise heart that abhors sin. This is the work of regeneration, the higher nature born in you by the Spirit of God which lifts you up into fellowship with God. The world does not understand this, but to the believer Christ is not a distant memory, He is alive, our familiar Friend, present to help and to keep. It is by looking to Him for all things, by overcoming evil with good through His grace, that we learn to overcome.

Let us pray for you now, and we encourage you to continue in the means of grace.

Our gracious Father, we thank You for the work You have begun in this soul, for the measure of victory You have already granted over pornography, masturbation, flirting and every sexual sin. We praise You that Your mercy endures and that You hear those who cry to You. We ask in the Name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation, that You would complete what You have begun. Grant lasting deliverance, not in human strength but by Your Spirit. Renew the mind according to Your Word, make wise the heart, and teach the feet to flee from temptation. Create a hatred for sin and a love for holiness, that sexual purity may be kept as You have ordained it, within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and that all that is outside of that holy bounds would be seen as corruption to be forsaken. Speak, Lord, give understanding, wash the heart, and keep it. Guard the eyes, guard the thoughts, and fill the soul with Christ, so that lust finds no place to conceive. We ask for wisdom to do whatever it takes to put away these sins forever, to walk in accountability, in the Scriptures, in prayer and in the fellowship of Your people. Let this deliverance be for Your glory alone. Amen.

Be encouraged to keep crying to Him, to keep confessing and forsaking sin, to keep your eyes upon Christ. He who has begun a good work will be faithful to perfect it. Walk in the light, feed daily upon the Word, seek godly fellowship and accountability, and flee from every occasion and provision for the flesh. The Lord is able to keep you and to present you faultless, and we trust He will.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We thank God with you for the improvement He has already given, and we give all glory to the Lord Jesus Christ for it. Your tears and prayers have not been in vain, for God hears those who cry to Him with a broken and humble heart, and He is merciful to those who turn from sin and seek to be cleansed.

We rejoice that you desire not just a temporary change but a lasting and true deliverance, and we will pray with you for that. We pray that God will help you and guide you to do whatever is needed to put these sins away from your life and heart completely, in the Name of Jesus Christ. We pray that He will renew your mind, make you wise in His Word, and keep you far from fornication, uncleanness and all lust, so that these sins will be far from you forever. We pray that He will show you mercy, speak to you, give you understanding, and grant you full deliverance.

Scripture teaches that those who once lived in sexual sin entered the kingdom not as they were, but having believed, having been purified and converted. God does not leave His people in their sin, He washes and makes new. He promises to create His people anew in righteousness and true holiness. That is the work we ask Him to do in you more and more each day.

To walk in this renewal, consider how lust works. Anger and lust come from strong passions, and lust often brings with it covetousness and uncleanness. The way lust stays alive is often through its vehicles, such as flirting, impure talk and joking that leads the heart back toward sin. If you would be free, cut off not only the act itself but the small paths that lead to it. Guard your eyes from pornography, guard your tongue from flirting and suggestive talk, guard your time from idleness and places that stir temptation.

Learn virtue step by step, as a child learns letters. First practice not to swear or speak evil, then not to envy or lust, not to be greedy or given to excess, and then go on to practice continence, self control, temperance and purity of heart. Become an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity, a living pattern of a Christian life. God rests upon the meek and humble who tremble at His Word, while pride makes the heart unclean and opens the door to the enemy.

So we pray for you now. Father in heaven, we thank You for the progress You have already worked in this dear soul through Jesus Christ. We ask You to complete the work You have begun. Wash this heart fully, renew this mind by Your truth, grant wisdom to discern and flee temptation, and give strength to stand firm. Teach what to put off and what to put on, and lead in paths of purity and self control. When weakness comes, remind of Your mercy and Your power to deliver, and help to despise sin and to love holiness. Keep this life as Your dwelling, and make it more like an angel than like one driven mad with lust. We ask all this in the Name of Jesus Christ, who is able to keep us from falling. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord daily in prayer and in Scripture, stay close to faithful believers who will encourage you and hold you accountable, and flee quickly from any situation that tempts you. God is faithful, and He will give you a way of escape so that you can stand.
