I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! We rejoice with you and give all the glory and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for the great improvement He has already worked in your life, and we thank Him that you have cried out to Him so earnestly. God hears the cries of a broken and contrite heart and He is faithful to deliver and to cleanse. We stand with you now asking for lasting and true victory for the glory of God.

We want to speak plainly in love about these sins because God calls us to holiness. Pornography, masturbation and flirting with the opposite sex outside of godly courtship toward marriage are not small matters, they are expressions of lust and sexual immorality. Jesus said that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart in Matthew 5:28. The Scripture commands us to flee sexual immorality in 1 Corinthians 6:18 and tells us that every other sin a person does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and we are to glorify God in our body and spirit which are His as it says in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. Flirting stirs up desires that belong only within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and God’s will is our sanctification, that we abstain from sexual immorality and know how to possess our own vessel in sanctification and honor in 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4. Masturbation feeds that same lust and turns the heart inward rather than toward purity and self-control.

We praise God that you desire to remove these sins forever and to have a renewed mind, for that is exactly what God promises to do. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind in Romans 12:2. God can create in you a clean heart and renew a right spirit within you as in Psalm 51:10. The way forward is to walk by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh in Galatians 5:16, and to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ in 2 Corinthians 10:5. This means doing whatever it takes to make a way of escape which God faithfully provides in 1 Corinthians 10:13. For you that will mean ruthlessly removing every source and access to pornography, installing filters and accountability, avoiding places, screens and conversations that trigger lust, ending flirting and guarding your heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life in Proverbs 4:23, choosing to think on whatever things are true, honorable, just, pure and lovely in Philippians 4:8, and inviting a mature believing brother to walk with you in honest accountability. Resist the devil and he will flee from you and draw near to God and He will draw near to you in James 4:7-8. When you do fall short, confess your sins and He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness in 1 John 1:9.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we thank You for the mercy You have already shown to our brother, for the improvement and conviction You have given. We ask that You would complete the good work You began in him until the day of Jesus Christ according to Philippians 1:6. Lord, show him mercy, speak to him, give him understanding and grant him full deliverance. Renew his mind and make him very wise in Your Word so that these sins will forever be far from him. Create in him a pure heart that hates what You hate and loves what You love. Help him to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from his life and heart, to flee every temptation and to walk in purity and in the power of Your Holy Spirit. Fill him with Your strength when he is weak and let him know that Your grace is sufficient. Keep him close to Jesus, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to You and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. We are so thankful you shared this with us, and we rejoice with you at the improvement you have seen. It is a gift to hear you give glory to Jesus for what He has done, and to hear your honest desire for lasting freedom. The tears and prayers you describe matter to God, and He sees your heart to be made new.

We want to encourage you that growth like this is often more of a process than a single moment. Even after real victories, old thoughts and temptations can return for a time, not because you have failed, but because the mind and habits are being renewed little by little. That can feel discouraging, but it is normal as the Lord continues His work.

One thing that has helped many who walk this same road is not walking it alone. Having one trusted, mature believer or pastor who knows your struggle and can check in with you regularly brings light and strength when willpower alone feels thin. It could be a small support group or a steady accountability partner, someone who will pray with you, ask honest questions, and point you back to Christ when shame creeps in.

I just fell into lust badly, I got baptized a few days ago and this is the first time I sinned with this after being baptized, well yk (did the act of it when yk) I looked at woman lustfully before that, so I am in the same boat because I have been trying and trying but nothing seems to be working, and it feels like Jesus can't free me from this sin, but I know deep down he can, I have to do something, and I don't know what it is, but I think you do as well, you need to do something that will finally free you, it could be the hardest thing in the world, it could be something easy, but whatever it is, it's something God has willed, so let his will be done, amen.

We rejoice with you that the Lord has wrought a measure of deliverance in your life, and we join you in giving all glory and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for it, for willing as you were to turn from these sins, it remains true, He brought you forth. Deliverance from sin is solely by the power of God. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy.

You have confessed with honesty the snares that beset you, pornography, masturbation, flirting and sexual sins outside the holy estate which God has ordained. Hear the faithful word, that charity and purity are the two great garments of Christianity, and charity without purity will be of no use, for without holiness no man shall see the Lord. The Scripture teaches that marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that the gift of union belongs within it alone. Any sin, whatever it is, if we cling to it and love it, will bring forth death, for when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin, and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death. That is the pedigree of sin.

Yet we do not leave you to despair, for there is a higher nature which is born in the believer by regeneration, whereby he becomes a partaker of the Divine Nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. Where we look for justification, there must we also look for sanctification, for as we are justified through Jesus Christ, we must also expect to receive sanctification from a heavenly source. We must look to our heavenly Father, altogether and alone.

Be of good comfort, for God has not only invented a way of deliverance, but He has found a ransom. The prisoner is ready to be executed, but there comes to him undeserved deliverance from all punishment, for the King's own Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities. When God Himself proclaims concerning him who is going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom, then is the deliverance certain. Indeed, it is already accomplished at Calvary, when the Lamb was slain. And our deliverance is attended with enrichment, for He brings His people forth not empty, but with the silver and gold of His grace, with a renewed mind and a wise heart.

We will pray for you as you have asked, that the Lord will help you and guide you to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from your life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. We will pray that He will work in you, renew your mind, and make you very wise in the fear of the Lord, so that these sins will forever be far from you.
