Help! ..😭..😭I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...

We rejoice with you and give all the glory and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for the great improvement He has already worked in your life, and we thank Him for hearing your prayers and your tears. We have cried out with you and we continue to stand with you for lasting and true deliverance for the glory of God.

We praise God that you desire to be set free completely and to have these sins removed forever from your life and heart. The Word tells us to flee sexual immorality, for every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body, 1 Corinthians 6:18. Jesus taught that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart, Matthew 5:28, and this shows us that pornography, masturbation, and flirting with the opposite sex outside of godly pursuit of marriage are not small matters but are lust and fornication in the heart and flesh that grieve the Holy Spirit. We must not make provision for the flesh or entertain these things at all, but bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:5. God intends sexual intimacy only within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and calls us to abstain from sexual immorality and to know how to possess our own vessels in sanctification and honor, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4.

We encourage you to continue to walk by the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh, Galatians 5:16, and to flee youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, 2 Timothy 2:22. Lasting freedom comes as we are transformed by the renewing of our minds, Romans 12:2, so that we no longer conform to the pattern of this world. This means we must be ruthless to cut off every source and access to temptation, to guard our eyes and heart, to fill our minds daily with the Word, to pray without ceasing, and to walk in open accountability with mature believers. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9. There is no temptation that has taken you except what is common to man, but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it, 1 Corinthians 10:13.

We pray together now for you in the name of Jesus Christ.

Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for Your mercy and for the work You have already begun in our dear brother. We ask You to complete it and to grant lasting and true deliverance. Create in him a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within him, Psalm 51:10. Renew his mind and make him very wise in Your Word, that he may discern and hate what is evil and cling to what is good. Teach him to take every thought captive and to fix his mind on what is pure and holy. Show him mercy, speak to him, give him understanding and set him fully free, for where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty, 2 Corinthians 3:17. Help him to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever, to flee all appearance of evil and to walk in purity and self control by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Strengthen him when he is tempted, remind him of the way of escape, and keep his heart far from lust and flirtation. Lead him in paths of righteousness for Your names sake and keep him blameless until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. We ask that You fill him with Your peace and joy as he walks in obedience, and that his life will bring glory to You alone. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

We thank you for writing so honestly and for giving glory to Jesus for the improvement you have seen. We rejoice with you in that, and we hear how much you still long for lasting freedom and a renewed mind.

We know those tears and long prayers matter to God. Wanting these sins far from your heart is a good and right desire, and lasting change often comes not in one sudden moment but in a steady daily walk with Him.

One thing that has helped many believers walking this same road is not walking alone. Having one trusted same sex friend, pastor, or small support group to be honest with regularly can make a real difference when temptation or old patterns return. If you do not have that yet, we encourage you to prayerfully consider who that could be and to reach out this week.

It also helps to notice what stirs the old thoughts and to have a simple plan to turn away early, toward prayer or something else that honors God.

Father, we thank You for the work You have already done in this life before You. We ask for Your mercy and gentle guidance each day, for wisdom to make choices that protect purity, and for a mind renewed as they walk close to Jesus. Give strength for each step and keep their heart tender toward You. In Jesus name, amen.

I have a really bad problem with porn. I did it again. I don't even feel guilty, anymore. You have more hope than me.

I also corrupted my mind with serious gore. I don't see how I can be free from pornography.

We join you in giving all glory and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for the improvement He has already wrought in you, and we bless His name that you can see His hand restraining and turning you from sins which once held you fast. This is no small mercy, for deliverance from sin is solely by the power of God. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy.

We have prayed and we will continue to pray that the Lord will perfect what He has begun and grant you a lasting and true deliverance, for His own glory. Hear the gracious word, Then He is gracious unto him, and says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. Job 33:24. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance from the pit through a ransom if God had not thought of it, yet He has both invented the way and found the ransom in His own dear Son, who bore the penalty of all our iniquities. In Christ there is undeserved deliverance from all punishment and from the power of sin itself.

For deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. He who has delivered you in part is able to deliver you wholly. We pray that He who has delivered us from the power of darkness, as it is written in Colossians 1:13, will make this your daily experience, that you may say with a true heart, He has taught me the mischief that comes from loving the world and the things thereof, and now temptation tempts in vain.

We pray that God will renew your mind, as you have asked, and make you very wise, for every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of Lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. May He give you understanding to see sin as it is, and wisdom to keep yourself unspotted from the world. The Christian never expects to get any good from the world, but learns to keep himself from its spots. Above all, cry to God to preserve you from evil, and when you find company or places or images that would draw you toward looseness, leave them and get away from them. Turn away from it, of what service can it be to you.

We pray also that you will be kept in the path of purity, for the only hope we can have of eternal life is by being parted from sin, and we have from day to day to fight against sin till it is utterly put away from us. This is not by any easy work or by a hasty word, but by supernatural power put forth in you as you look to your heavenly Father altogether and alone. He fills both the bitter cup and the sweet goblet, and that which we receive from the rod of the Lord bears the blessed aspect of chastening from a Father's hand, which makes even the sharpest smart to be profitable.

So we ask the Lord to show you mercy, to speak to you by His Word and Spirit, to give you understanding and full deliverance, to keep back your soul from the pit and your life from perishing. May He strengthen you to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from your life and heart, not in your own strength, but in His, that you may live and declare the works of the Lord, and walk before Him in holiness and peace, kept by His free grace alone.
