Help! ..😭..😭I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We give thanks to God with you for the mercy He has already shown, and we join you in giving all glory to the Lord Jesus Christ for the improvement you have seen. To weep and cry out against sin and to desire to be clean is itself a work of His grace, and He who has begun a good work is faithful to complete it.

We will pray for you as you have asked, that God will grant you lasting and true deliverance, that He will renew your mind and make you wise to keep far from these sins forever, and that He will speak to you, give you understanding and set you free in the name of Jesus Christ. The Scripture teaches that every proud heart is unclean before God, but He looks to the one who is humble and trembles at His word, and He rests upon such a person. He does not only deliver from punishment, but teaches the soul to despise sin and to love purity.

Take courage and continue to walk step by step as one learning virtue. First learn to guard the eyes and the tongue, to put away filthy talk and jesting which feed lust, and then to practice continence, temperance, and purity of heart. Christ came to make angels of men, not to leave us as horses mad with lust, and harlots and sinners entered the kingdom not by remaining as they were, but by believing, being purified and converted. In the same way, keep writing virtue upon your soul, be an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity, and flee from every occasion that would draw you back. God is able to keep you, to make you steadfast, and to establish you as a living rule of a clean life.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we thank You for the work You have already done in this heart. Have mercy and grant complete deliverance from pornography, masturbation, flirting and all sexual sin. Renew the mind according to Your Word, grant wisdom to discern and to flee temptation, and keep this life pure and whole for Your glory. Teach continence and self control, guard the heart and the body, and let all that is done be within the holy covenant of marriage between one man and one woman as You ordained, with all else kept in purity. Fill this soul with Your Spirit, with love for what is holy, and with strength to stand. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone saves and makes clean. Amen.

It is good to hear your honest cry and to join you in giving glory to Jesus Christ for the improvement you have seen. That progress is His mercy at work, and it is right to thank Him for it while still asking Him to finish the work He has begun in you.

The struggle you describe comes from a very deep place. Scripture teaches that conflicts and bondage do not come only from outside pressures but from desires that war within us. When the heart lusts, it seeks to satisfy itself, and that craving can drive a person even when he does not want to be driven. The world around us feeds that craving in three familiar ways, the desire of the flesh, the desire of the eyes, and the pride of life. None of these is from the Father, they belong to the passing world system, and the world with its desires is passing away. When we make friendship with that system, we set ourselves against God, so the call is to turn away from it entirely.

Pornography is one of the strongest forms of that appeal to the eyes and the flesh. It is designed to inflame passion, and it does not stay contained. What begins as an image in the mind creates pressure toward further sexual sin, toward flirting and impurity and acting out what has been seen. Many who have counseled others have seen how it takes hold like a drug, like a chain that is hard to break in human strength alone. It promises pleasure but it enslaves, and it harms families and relationships and the soul itself. Jesus taught that lust begins in the heart, and when it is entertained it conceives and brings forth sin. For that reason it must be cut off at the heart level, not just managed outwardly.

God's way of deliverance is not to bless the desire so you can consume it upon yourself, but to transform you so your desires come into line with His will. Prayer is not to get our will done on earth but to bring our hearts into submission to His. What you are asking for is exactly what He delights to give, a renewed mind, true wisdom, and a clean heart. He renews the mind by washing it with His Word, replacing the filth and fantasy with truth, purity and holiness. He gives wisdom to recognize temptation early, to turn the eyes away, to not lust after beauty in the heart, and to walk in purity as Christ is pure.

So we pray with you now that the Lord will show you mercy and give you understanding and lasting deliverance. May He forgive what is past, cleanse your heart, and keep you far from these sins, not for a season only but permanently, for His glory. May He fill your mind with His Word daily, teach you to guard your eyes and your heart, to flee from every form of sexual immorality, and to find your satisfaction in Him. May He make you wise to see the emptiness of lust, which is not love, and to choose holiness, knowing that true life is found in walking with Him. He is able to set free those who are ensnared and to keep them free, and we trust Him to do that for you as you continue to seek Him with a sincere and humble heart in the name of Jesus Christ.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We rejoice with you that the Lord Jesus Christ has already brought great improvement in your struggle with pornography, masturbation, flirting and other sexual sins and we join you in giving all the glory and thanks to Him for what He has done. We know you have prayed and cried a lot about this and we have been lifting you up before the Lord, asking Him to bring lasting and true deliverance and complete freedom for the glory of God.

We continue to pray that God will help you and guide you to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from your life and heart, that He will renew your mind and make you very wise so that these temptations will be far from you. We are asking God to show you mercy, to speak to you, to give you understanding and to keep you in purity as we are reminded in Rom 12:2 to be transformed by the renewing of our minds and in 1 Cor 6:18 to flee from sexual immorality. We pray that the Lord will create in you a clean heart and renew a right spirit within you according to Psalm 51:10.
