Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the progress the Lord has already brought into your life! The fact that you have seen improvement and are crying out to God in prayer is evidence of His work in your heart. The battle against sexual sin, pornography, masturbation, and flirting with impure motives, is a fierce one, but it is not one you fight alone. The Lord is faithful, and He will complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). We stand with you in agreement, declaring that these sins will no longer have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace (Romans 6:14).

The Scriptures are clear that sexual immorality is a sin against your own body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). These struggles are not merely habits to break but strongholds that must be torn down by the power of God. We must also address the root of these sins, whether it be lust, idleness, loneliness, or a deeper heart issue. The Lord calls us to flee sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and to take every thought captive to obey Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). This means not only resisting temptation but also filling your mind and heart with what is pure, lovely, and honorable (Philippians 4:8).

We must also speak plainly: flirting with the opposite sex outside the context of godly courtship leading to marriage can easily lead to temptation and sin. The Bible instructs us to treat others with purity and to avoid even the appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22). If you are not pursuing marriage with a godly spouse, it is wise to guard your heart and interactions to avoid stumbling yourself or causing others to stumble (Matthew 18:7).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, giving You all the glory for the work You have already done in this beloved brother’s life. Lord, we thank You for Your mercy and grace that have brought him this far. We ask now that You would complete the work You have started. Father, we pray for lasting and true deliverance from the sins of pornography, masturbation, and impure flirting. Break every chain, tear down every stronghold, and renew his mind by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Lord, fill him with Your wisdom and understanding so that he may discern Your will and walk in it.

Father, we ask that You would show him Your mercy and speak to his heart. Give him a deep hunger for Your Word and a desire to walk in holiness. Surround him with godly accountability and fellowship so that he is not isolated in this battle. Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that he will walk in the freedom Christ has purchased for him. Strengthen him to resist temptation and to flee from every appearance of evil.

We also pray for godly relationships in his life. If it is Your will, Father, prepare him for a godly spouse who loves You above all else. Until that time, guard his heart and keep him pure in thought, word, and deed. Let him be a light in this world, reflecting Your love and holiness.

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved or delivered. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord with all your heart. Spend time in His Word daily, for it is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Find a trusted, godly brother in Christ who can hold you accountable and pray with you. Remember, the enemy will try to convince you that you are alone or that you cannot overcome this, but God’s Word says that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). You are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37).

If you have not already, consider fasting as a way to draw closer to God and to seek His face more earnestly. Fasting is a powerful tool to break strongholds and to align your heart with God’s will. The Lord is faithful, and He will lead you into all truth and freedom. Keep pressing in, keep crying out, and keep believing. The victory is already yours in Christ Jesus!

We rejoice with you that you’ve seen real improvement, that’s a gift from the Lord, and we give Him glory right alongside you. We hear how much you’ve cried out, and we know that kind of honest desperation is precious to God. He doesn’t despise a broken and contrite heart.

Because you’re already seeing progress and yet still long for a deeper, lasting freedom, this might be a perfect time to invite a trusted, mature brother in Christ to walk with you. You don’t have to fight this alone, having someone who knows your story, prays with you regularly, and asks you honest questions can make all the difference. Sometimes the change we long for becomes steadier when we’ve got another set of eyes and a faithful voice speaking truth into our daily lives. If that feels daunting, even a small, confidential support group or a counselor with experience helping Christians walk out of sexual sin could give you the extra stability you’re asking for.

We’re praying with you today, not only for the sin to be far from you, but for God to keep renewing your mind, deepening your wisdom, and surrounding you with the kind of care that helps you stand. We ask that He would show you the mercy you’re reaching for and give you a greater taste of His nearness as you press on.

Lord Jesus, thank You for the ground already won in this brother’s life. We ask You now to finish what You’ve started. Give him a mind made new, eyes that turn quickly from temptation, and the courage to take whatever practical steps will guard his heart. Surround him with companions who will help him fight and not let him drift. Grant him deep assurance that You are with him, and let him know, even in the struggle, that he is loved and held. In Jesus’ name, amen.

It is of the Lord’s mercies that you have seen improvement, and for this we give Him all the glory. He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion. Yet you are still in the conflict, and your cry for lasting deliverance is right in His ear. Do not think it strange that the battle continues, for we are called to purity in a world that spots the soul, and the lusts of the flesh war against the spirit. But take heart: the ransom has been found, not by your striving, but by the precious blood of Christ, and your deliverance from the pit is sure.

Sin’s darkness has a lowering power, but the light of God’s countenance lifts up the soul. Flee from every occasion of evil; make no provision for the desires of the flesh. Beseech the Lord to renew your mind, to make you wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove. He will give understanding if you seek it with your whole heart. And remember, deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from its guilt. You are united to Christ in a living, loving, lasting union; therefore you are sanctified as well as justified. He will bring you forth with silver and gold, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper, for He puts His fear in your heart that you may not depart from Him.

Do not retreat into despair, but rather press on, declaring what He has already done. Your very tears and prayers are the evidence of the new nature within. Go to the cross daily; plead the blood that cleanses from all unrighteousness. And when you are tempted, remember that His grace is sufficient, and His strength is made perfect in your weakness. He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape. Watch and pray, and lean not on your own understanding. He will keep you from falling, and after your deliverance you shall say, ā€œI shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.ā€ The memory of this very struggle shall one day be a song of praise, and you will tell of His mercy to others who groan under like burdens. Trust Him, then, for He is faithful who promised.
