Help! I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the victory and improvement the Lord has already brought into your life! It is truly by His grace and power that you have seen progress, and we give all glory to Jesus Christ for the work He is doing in you. Your heart’s cry for lasting transformation is a testament to the Holy Spirit’s conviction and your desire to walk in holiness. The battle against sexual sin is real, but the Lord is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). Let us stand together in prayer and in the truth of God’s Word to see these strongholds shattered forever.

The apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* Your body belongs to Christ, and He calls you to flee from these sins—not to merely resist them in your own strength, but to run from them as Joseph did when tempted by Potiphar’s wife (Genesis 39:12). This requires radical steps: cutting off access to triggers, filling your mind with Scripture, and surrounding yourself with accountability. Jesus said in Matthew 5:29-30, *"If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna. If your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off, and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna."* While He speaks hyperbolically, the principle is clear: take drastic action to remove sin from your life. This may mean installing accountability software, deleting social media accounts that fuel temptation, or avoiding certain environments where you are weak.

Renewing your mind is essential. Romans 12:2 commands, *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."* Fill your heart with Scripture daily, especially verses that speak to purity and the fear of the Lord. Psalm 119:9 asks, *"How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word."* Memorize and meditate on passages like 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5, *"For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God."* The Word of God is a sword to fight temptation (Ephesians 6:17), and the Holy Spirit will use it to transform your thoughts and desires.

We also urge you to embrace the wisdom of Proverbs 4:23: *"Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life."* Guard your heart against flirtation, which can so easily lead to lust and further sin. Flirtation is often a gateway to impurity, and even "harmless" interactions can awaken desires that are difficult to control. Instead, let your speech and conduct be seasoned with grace and purity, reflecting Christ in all things (Colossians 4:6). If you are not married, your interactions with the opposite sex should be honorable and directed toward godly purposes, not self-gratification or emotional validation.

Lastly, remember that mercy and deliverance come through repentance and faith in Christ. 1 John 1:9 promises, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* You have already tasted the Lord’s mercy, and He will continue to pour it out as you seek Him. Do not grow weary in this fight, for *"he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ"* (Philippians 1:6). The enemy may whisper lies of defeat, but greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who seeks lasting freedom from the bondage of sexual sin. Lord, we thank You for the victory he has already experienced, and we ask that You would complete this work in him. Father, You alone can renew his mind and transform his heart. Wash him clean by the blood of Jesus and fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in purity and wisdom. Grant him the strength to flee from temptation and the discernment to recognize and avoid the snares of the enemy. Lord, break every chain of lust, every stronghold of impurity, and every habit that does not glorify You. Replace his desires with a hunger for Your Word and a passion for Your righteousness.

Father, we ask that You would surround him with godly accountability—brothers in Christ who will stand with him in this battle and encourage him toward holiness. Give him the courage to take radical steps to remove sin from his life, no matter the cost. Let him find his satisfaction in You alone, for You are the living water that quench every thirst (John 4:14). Speak to his heart, Lord, and remind him daily of Your love, Your mercy, and Your power to deliver.

We rebuke the enemy’s lies and declare that our brother is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37). No weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and the Lord will perfect that which concerns him (Psalm 138:8). We pray for a heart that fears You, Lord, and a mind stayed on You, that he may walk in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3).

In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray for complete and lasting deliverance. May his life be a testament to Your transforming power, and may he bring glory to Your name in all things. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

Stand firm, brother. The Lord is with you, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is faithful to bring this battle to an end. We are cheering you on and praying for you!

Dear friend, we're here with you, standing in the gap and lifting you up in prayer. We're so encouraged by the progress you've made, and we want to remind you that God is not done with you yet! He's got more in store, and we believe that together, we can see lasting freedom and transformation.

Let's focus on some practical steps and Scriptures to help you in this journey:

1. **Flee from temptation**: Like Joseph, run from situations and relationships that could lead you into sin. This might mean uninstalling apps, avoiding certain places, or setting boundaries in friendships. Remember, it's not about mere resistance, but radical action (Matthew 5:29-30).

2. **Guard your heart**: Proverbs 4:23 reminds us to keep our heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life. Guard your heart against flirtation and impure thoughts. Instead, let your speech and conduct be seasoned with grace and purity (Colossians 4:6).

3. **Renew your mind**: Fill your heart with Scripture daily, especially verses that speak to purity and the fear of the Lord. Memorize and meditate on passages like 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5. The Word of God is a sword to fight temptation (Ephesians 6:17).

4. **Seek accountability**: Surround yourself with godly brothers and sisters in Christ who can encourage you and hold you accountable. Be transparent about your struggles and victories.

5. **Trust in God's mercy**: Remember that mercy and deliverance come through repentance and faith in Christ (1 John 1:9). Don't grow weary in this fight, for the Lord who began a good work in you will complete it (Philippians 1:6).

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, interceding for our friend who desires lasting freedom from sexual sin. Lord, we thank You for the progress made so far, and we ask that You would complete this good work in him. Father, renew his mind and transform his heart.

Father, we ask that You would surround him with godly accountability – brothers and sisters in Christ who will stand with him in this battle and encourage him toward holiness. Give him the courage to take radical steps to remove sin from his life, no matter the cost. Let him find his satisfaction in You alone, for You are the living water that quench every thirst.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred honor of lifting you before the throne of grace in this deeply personal battle for purity and freedom in Christ. Your heart’s cry for lasting transformation has moved us, and we have continued to intercede on your behalf, claiming the power of the Holy Spirit to break every chain and renew your mind in the truth of God’s Word.

We rejoice with you over the improvement you’ve already seen—what a testimony to God’s faithfulness when we surrender to Him! This is evidence that He is at work, and we give Him all the praise for the victory He is bringing. Yet we also recognize, as you do, that the fight for lasting freedom is ongoing, and we remain steadfast in prayer that the Lord will complete this good work in you.

We are asking God to give you divine wisdom to recognize and flee temptation, to flood your mind with His truth when lies or lusts arise, and to fill you with such a love for Him that every sin loses its appeal. May He grant you the strength to "put off your old self" and "put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness" (Ephesians 4:22-24). We pray He would surround you with godly accountability, open your eyes to any areas of vulnerability, and lead you to walk in the fullness of His mercy and grace.

If the Lord has granted you further breakthroughs since your request, we would love to praise Him with you—please share your testimony so we can glorify His name together. If the struggle persists, know that we are still here, ready to stand with you in prayer until the victory is complete. You are not alone in this, and we will not grow weary in lifting you up.

May the Lord continue to draw you closer to Himself, filling you with His peace and power as you seek Him. We are confident that He who began this work in you will carry it on to completion, for His glory and your joy in Him. In Jesus’ mighty name.
