Help! I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the victory and improvement the Lord has already brought into your life! It is a testament to His faithfulness and your sincere repentance that you have seen such progress in overcoming these sins. Indeed, all glory and thanks belong to our Lord Jesus Christ, who is mighty to save and transform. Your heart’s cry for lasting change is a beautiful reflection of your desire to honor God, and we stand with you in this battle, for it is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

The sins you are battling—pornography, masturbation, flirting, and sexual immorality—are not just struggles of the flesh but attacks on the temple of the Holy Spirit, which is your body. The Word of God is clear: *"Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, WEB). These sins defile what God has declared holy, and they create strongholds in the mind and heart that only the power of Christ can break. But take heart, for *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure"* (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB).

Your request for a renewed mind is wise, for true transformation begins in the mind. *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God"* (Romans 12:2, WEB). The mind is the battlefield where the enemy seeks to plant lustful thoughts, but you have the authority in Christ to take every thought captive. *"Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ"* (2 Corinthians 10:5, WEB). This is not a passive process—it requires active resistance, filling your mind with the Word of God, and fleeing from anything that triggers temptation. Job made a covenant with his eyes, saying, *"I made a covenant with my eyes, how then should I look lustfully at a young woman?"* (Job 31:1, WEB). You must do the same, setting boundaries for your eyes, your hands, and your heart.

Wisdom is also critical in this battle. The book of Proverbs warns us repeatedly about the dangers of sexual sin and the snares of the adulteress (or the seductress). *"For the lips of an adulteress drip honey. Her mouth is smoother than oil, but in the end she is as bitter as wormwood, and as sharp as a two-edged sword. Her feet go down to death. Her steps lead straight to Sheol. She gives no thought to the way of life. Her ways are crooked, and she doesn’t know it"* (Proverbs 5:3-6, WEB). Wisdom calls us to avoid even the *appearance* of such sin, to walk in the light, and to guard our hearts above all else. *"Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life"* (Proverbs 4:23, WEB). Wisdom will also guide you in how to interact with the opposite sex in a way that is pure, honorable, and godly, reserving flirtation and affection for the context of a biblical courtship leading to marriage.

You have asked for mercy, and we declare over you the promise of God: *"Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need"* (Hebrews 4:16, WEB). His mercy is new every morning, and His grace is sufficient for you. But mercy must be met with repentance and action. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). Confession is not a one-time event but a daily posture of humility before the Lord. You must also *"put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts"* (Romans 13:14, WEB). This means removing anything from your life that feeds these sins—whether it be certain websites, social media, friendships, or even places you frequent. You cannot play with fire and expect not to be burned.

Deliverance is yours in Christ, but it requires your full surrender. *"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7, WEB). Submission to God means obeying His Word, even when it is difficult. It means filling your life with prayer, worship, and the fellowship of believers who will hold you accountable. It means replacing sinful habits with godly ones—serving others, memorizing Scripture, and investing in your relationship with Christ. The devil flees when he sees a life fully surrendered to Jesus.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who seeks Your face for complete deliverance from the sins that have ensnared him. Lord, we thank You for the victory he has already experienced, for it is a testament to Your power and his sincere repentance. But Father, we ask for *lasting* transformation—a work so deep and thorough that these sins will no longer have a foothold in his life.

Lord Jesus, You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life. We ask that You renew his mind by the washing of the water of the Word. Replace every lustful thought with Your truth, every impure desire with a hunger for righteousness. Give him wisdom, Lord—wisdom to recognize the traps of the enemy, wisdom to flee temptation, and wisdom to walk in purity. *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5, WEB). We claim this promise over him now.

Father, we ask for Your mercy to flood his life. Let him feel the weight of Your forgiveness and the hope of Your calling. Speak to him, Lord, in the quiet moments, in the reading of Your Word, and through the counsel of godly believers. Let him hear Your voice saying, *"This is the way, walk in it"* (Isaiah 30:21, WEB). Give him understanding, Lord—understanding of the depth of Your love for him, understanding of the seriousness of sin, and understanding of the freedom that is his in Christ.

We bind every spirit of lust, addiction, and deception in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds"* (2 Corinthians 10:4, WEB). Lord, tear down every stronghold in his mind and heart. Break every chain of addiction. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Father, we ask that You place godly men around him who will encourage him, hold him accountable, and point him to Christ. Let him not walk this path alone, but surround him with brothers who will spur him on toward love and good deeds. Give him the courage to be transparent, to confess his struggles, and to receive the support he needs.

Lord, we pray that You would give him a vision for the future—a future free from the shame of sin, a future where he can serve You with a clear conscience and a pure heart. Let him see himself as You see him: redeemed, forgiven, and called to holiness. *"Follow peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord"* (Hebrews 12:14, WEB). Sanctify him, Lord, set him apart for Your purposes.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would give him a deep, unshakable love for You. Let his greatest desire be to please You, to honor You, and to glorify You in all that he does. *"Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4, WEB). May his heart’s desire be aligned with Yours, and may he find his greatest satisfaction in You alone.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We thank You for the work You are doing and will continue to do in his life. We declare victory in Jesus’ name, for *"thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ"* (1 Corinthians 15:57, WEB). Let this victory be complete, lasting, and a testimony to Your grace.

In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Brother, we urge you to remain steadfast in this fight. The enemy will try to discourage you, to make you feel like change is impossible, but *"with God, all things are possible"* (Matthew 19:26, WEB). Keep praying, keep seeking, keep filling your life with the things of God. And remember, this battle is not just about *stopping* sin—it’s about *pursuing* Christ with all your heart. *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). Run to Him, and He will meet you with open arms.

If you have not already, we strongly encourage you to find a biblical, Christ-centered accountability group or mentor. Isolation is the enemy’s playground, but in community, we find strength. Also, consider memorizing Scripture to combat temptation—verses like 1 Corinthians 10:13, 2 Timothy 2:22 (*"Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart"*), and Psalm 119:9 (*"How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word."*).

You are not defined by your struggles, but by the blood of Christ that has cleansed you. Walk in that freedom, and let your life be a testament to His transforming power. We are praying for you, and we believe God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you. Stay the course, brother. The best is yet to come.

Dear friend, we join you in prayer today, lifting your request to our Heavenly Father. We are encouraged by the progress you've made and we want to remind you that God is not done with you yet. He has more in store for you, and we believe that He will equip you for the journey ahead.

We pray that God will grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. We ask that He would open your eyes to see the traps of the enemy and give you the discernment to flee from temptation. We also pray that He would fill you with a hunger for righteousness, a desire that is only satisfied in Him.

We claim the promise of 2 Corinthians 10:5 over you, that you would be able to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. We declare that every lustful thought, every impure desire, would be replaced with a hunger for righteousness and a love for God's Word.

We also pray for a spirit of humility, that you would be quick to confess your sins and turn away from them. We ask that God would give you the strength to put off the old self and put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness (Ephesians 4:22-24).

We declare that you are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you. We believe that God is faithful and that He will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

May God grant you the grace to endure and to finish the race that is set before you. We are praying for you, and we believe that God will answer our prayers according to His will.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred privilege of lifting you up before the Lord in this deeply personal and courageous battle for purity. Your heart’s cry for lasting freedom and your desire to bring glory to God in this struggle have moved us to continue praying with even greater fervor on your behalf. We rejoice with you over the improvement you’ve already seen—what a testimony to God’s faithfulness when we surrender these burdens to Him! This is proof that He is at work in you, and we give Him all the praise for the victory He is bringing, step by step.

We know this journey is not easy, and the enemy will not relinquish his grip without a fight. But we serve a God who is mightier, whose grace is sufficient, and whose power is made perfect in our weakness. We have been praying that the Lord will not only remove these sins from your life but will replace them with a deeper hunger for His Word, a renewed mind, and a heart so captivated by His love that the allure of temptation pales in comparison. We’ve asked Him to surround you with godly accountability, to open your eyes to the traps of the enemy, and to fill you with the wisdom that comes only from above. Most of all, we’ve pleaded for you to experience the fullness of His mercy—a mercy that doesn’t just cleanse but transforms, that doesn’t just forgive but restores.

If the Lord has granted you further breakthroughs since you first shared this request, we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be the very thing someone else needs to hear to keep fighting the good fight. And if this battle still rages, know that we are not growing weary in praying for you. You are not alone in this. Post again, share your heart, and let us continue to stand with you in the gap, believing God for complete and lasting deliverance. He who began this good work in you will be faithful to complete it.

We are also praying for your strength in the waiting—for patience when progress feels slow, for hope when discouragement creeps in, and for the assurance that God’s timing is perfect. Cling to Him, brother. He is your refuge, your deliverer, and your ever-present help. May you sense His nearness in a fresh way as you seek Him with all your heart.

We love you in Christ, and we are honored to walk this road with you. Keep pressing in. Keep fighting. And keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith. He is able, and He is willing. In Jesus’ mighty and matchless name.
