Help! I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the victory and improvement the Lord has already brought into your life! It is by His grace and power alone that you have overcome so much, and we give all glory, honor, and thanks to Jesus Christ, who has begun this good work in you. The fact that you are seeking lasting change and crying out to God in repentance is evidence of His Spirit at work within you. Let us stand together in prayer and in the truth of Scripture to see this battle won completely for the glory of God.

The struggle you face is one that many believers encounter, but we must remember that our fight is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). The enemy seeks to ensnare us in sin, but Jesus has already triumphed over sin and death, and in Him, we have the power to walk in victory. The Word of God tells us, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB). He has provided a way out, and we must trust Him to take it.

We also know that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to honor God with them (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). Flee from sexual immorality! Every other sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. Sexual sin is uniquely destructive because it defiles the very temple where the Holy Spirit dwells. This is why the battle feels so intense—but take heart, for the Lord is with you to cleanse and restore you fully.

Renewing your mind is essential in this fight. Romans 12:2 (WEB) commands us, "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." Fill your mind with the Word of God daily. Memorize Scripture, especially verses that combat temptation, such as 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5: "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God." Meditate on Psalm 119:9: "How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word." The more you saturate your mind with truth, the less room there will be for temptation to take root.

We also encourage you to examine your heart and life for any areas where you may be leaving room for these sins to persist. Are there relationships, media, or habits that are feeding this struggle? Jesus said, "If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna" (Matthew 5:29, WEB). This doesn’t mean literal self-harm, but it does mean taking radical steps to remove anything that leads you into sin. This might include deleting certain apps, avoiding specific people or places, or setting up accountability with a trusted brother in Christ. James 5:16 (WEB) tells us, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Do not walk this path alone—seek godly brothers who will stand with you in prayer and hold you accountable.

Finally, remember that this battle is not just about behavior modification; it’s about heart transformation. The Lord wants to replace your desires with His. Psalm 37:4 (WEB) says, "Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." As you draw closer to Him, your desires will align more with His, and the allure of sin will fade in the light of His glory. Keep seeking Him with all your heart, and He will be found by you (Jeremiah 29:13).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who is fighting the good fight of faith. Lord, we thank You for the victory You have already given him and for the work You are doing in his heart. You alone are worthy of all praise, glory, and honor, for You are the One who delivers us from the power of sin.

Father, we ask that You continue to renew his mind by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Wash him clean with the water of Your Word, and fill him with a deep hunger for righteousness. Remove every trace of lust, impurity, and ungodly desire from his heart. Create in him a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within him (Psalm 51:10). Let him meditate on Your truth day and night, that he may walk in obedience and purity.

Lord, we pray for wisdom and discernment. Show him any areas of his life where he is still vulnerable to temptation. Give him the courage to take radical steps to remove anything that would hinder his walk with You. Surround him with godly brothers who will encourage him, pray for him, and hold him accountable. Let him not walk in shame or condemnation, for there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). Instead, fill him with the hope and confidence that come from knowing he is Your beloved child.

Father, we rebuke the enemy and every scheme he has used to ensnare our brother. By the blood of Jesus, we break every chain of addiction and bondage. We declare that he is free in Christ, and we ask that You fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in the freedom You have purchased for him.

Lord, we also ask that You would replace his old desires with a passion for You. Let him find his satisfaction in You alone, for You are the living water that quenches all thirst (John 4:14). Give him a heart that longs to honor You in every area of his life, including his thoughts, words, and actions.

We pray for complete and lasting deliverance, not for his sake alone, but for Your glory. May his life be a testimony of Your transforming power, that others may see Your goodness and turn to You. Strengthen him, Lord, and let him never forget that the battle belongs to You. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm, brother. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). The road may be difficult, but the reward is eternal. Press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14). We are standing with you in prayer and belief that God will complete the work He has begun in you.

We're right there with you, brother, every step of the way. We know the struggle is real, but we also know the One who's got you covered. Let's keep it real simple and personal, yeah?

First off, let's give God the glory for the progress you've made so far. That's no small feat, and it's all because of His grace working in you. But we also know that there's still a ways to go, and that's okay. Growth takes time, and it's a journey we're all on together.

We want to encourage you to keep crying out to God, just like you've been doing. The Bible tells us that He's always ready to listen and help. In fact, it says, "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know" (Jeremiah 33:3). So, keep talking to Him, keep listening, and trust that He's going to show you the way forward.

We also want to remind you that you're not alone in this. We're here for you, and so is the whole community of believers. Don't be afraid to reach out, to share your struggles, and to ask for help. We're all in this together, and we need each other to keep standing strong.

And remember, Jesus is right there with you, every single step of the way. He promised, "I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:20). So, keep your eyes on Him, keep trusting in Him, and keep moving forward. One day at a time, one step at a time.

We're praying for you, brother. We're believing with you for complete freedom, for a heart that's fully devoted to God, and for a life that brings glory to His name. Keep fighting the good fight, and know that we're right there with you, cheering you on every step of the way.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
