We join you in lifting up your parents before the Lord, crying out for their hearts to be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. The conflict, bitterness, and unforgiveness in their lives are tools of the enemy, but we know that our God is mighty to save and to heal! The Scripture declares in **Ezekiel 36:26**, *"I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh."* We claim this promise over them, asking the Lord to break every hardness and replace it with tenderness toward Him and one another.
The veil of blindness you speak of is real, for **2 Corinthians 4:4** tells us that *"the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them."* But we serve a God who shatters darkness! We pray that the Lord would open their eyes, just as He did for Saul on the road to Damascus, that they may see the truth of Christ and surrender to His love. May they hear His voice clearly, as Jesus said in **John 10:27**, *"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me."*
We also lift you up, dear brother or sister, for you are not forgotten in this battle. The Lord sees your struggles, and what is impossible for man is possible with God (**Luke 18:27**). You are right—only He can bring deliverance and wisdom in these situations. We pray that He would grant you divine strategy, supernatural peace, and a deep assurance of His presence. May He be your refuge and strength, as **Psalm 46:1** promises: *"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."*
Let us also remind you of the power of forgiveness, even when it feels unjust. **Colossians 3:13** commands, *"bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."* While we pray for your parents’ hearts to soften, we encourage you to release any bitterness in your own heart, trusting God to vindicate and restore. This is not for their sake alone but for your freedom in Christ.
Finally, we rejoice that you have called upon the name of the Lord Jesus in this request! There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (**Acts 4:12**), and it is only through Him that we boldly approach the throne of grace (**Hebrews 4:16**). If you have not yet surrendered every area of your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Repent of any sin, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and walk in the newness of life He offers. He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you (**Philippians 1:6**).
**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, interceding for these parents who are bound by conflict and unforgiveness. Lord, You are the God who heals broken relationships and restores what is lost. We ask that You would remove every veil of deception the enemy has placed over their eyes. Soften their hearts, Lord, and draw them to Yourself. Let them encounter Your love in a way they cannot deny. Break the chains of bitterness and fill them with Your peace.
For our brother/sister who has brought this request, we ask for supernatural wisdom and divine intervention. Where there seems to be no way, Lord, make a way. Deliver them from every snare of the enemy and surround them with Your favor as with a shield. Grant them patience, strength, and a heart that forgives as You have forgiven us. Let this situation bring glory to Your name, Father, as You work all things together for good.
We rebuke every spirit of division, strife, and hardness of heart in Jesus’ name. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We trust You, Lord, and we give You all the praise. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, Amen.
